I wonder what results RVAFers have had with making raw ice-cream?

The best I've done is literally just strawberries and a banana blended and semi-frozen (we lack a real ice cream maker).

I would definitely love to make a coconut ice cream since raw dairy doesn't work for me. Right now we get 99% raw coconut ice cream. I believe the guar gum in it is the 1% non-raw, but it could also be the vanilla extract that they don't specify as raw. It's just raw coconut cream, raw coconut nectar, vanilla extract, raw vanilla bean, and guar gum. It's great, but I'd like something I can make at home.

I'd love to try crocodile eggs and even the ice cream, though. But if it's made with dairy I'd probably have digestion issues. Would be a nice once in a lifetime thing to try.  -d

My daughter makes raw paleo ice cream with coconut cream, coconut milk, raw cocoa powder, and fruit. She is not a raw foodist, but she doesn't feed her family with processed sugars, not even the fancy ones.

I raised my children on whole foods and no sugar. It's been interesting to see her migrate back to the way she was raised, and then move on to paleo.
