Hi aunaturale, so did it for me. By your statement, do you mean the zeitgeist should be viewed as a religion, or that it opened your eyes in regards to religion?

It needs to go beyond any current political system. I suggest to just watch Zeitgeist 2 to get the big picture.
It is a 2 hours video document, but it is truly eloquent and worth taking time to watch it through.

Hi everyone, well this topic is very important to me and I personally think everyone should share it's content. Whether or not you agree with it, it deserve full consideration and attention before rejection. I don't want to write down a whole chapter about it but, basically, it explain how the present system (whether economic, political or religious) we are living in, is a system that perpetuate scarcity, competition, warfare, poverty, crime, fear, by the application of the monetary system. When you watch the Matrix movie, you think to yourself, "yeah that's right, we need to wake up!". Well to me, this is how the matrix really relate to our reality.

I suggest watching zeitgeist 2 (youtube) since it summarize and expose the most recent issues.
but then check out zeitgeist 1 for additional information
or any of Jacque Fresco interviews
or check for the venus project.

To me, these reports are shocking to our present comfort/in-comfort, but eventually, by the solutions proposed, bring true joy by foreseeing what our world could be if we'd change our way of functioning by creating abundance for everyone on earth!!

Please post your comments so we can have an open minded discussion about it. thanks.

Hot Topics / Re: Paleo - just a nother eating disorder?

I would like to add something. I will try to make an analogy. It will not sound the best one to most of you but still, I will just try to express my point. To stay in shape, we have to exercise. not stay on a couch "saving" our energy to make it last longer. but when we are sick or tired, we need to rest. some may say what a stupid analogy. but take a moment to consider it in link to diet. If I am sick, I eat the good food. and here I agree 100% with you guys since I am here, cause I have been sick. Candida was my issue, at least as far as I know. But now that I have rebalanced my health, I can say that I can eat junk food, as less as possible, but still can. I know am not nourishing my body on theses food , but what if I was just "exercising" my body when I do so? and again, this is only my story. I am in no way capable of talking for ANYONE ELSE.

We know that we have most of our genetic coming from our ancestor which I am convinced were eating a lot more raw, without processed food, preservatives, chemicals, and all that crap that is in most food available today. But, it's still been a while we are cooking, eating grains, dairy. Probably those aren't optimal but here I go again with my analogy, what if these weren't just "exercises" for our body?

One more word about the pleasure we get from eating with people we love around us. We, humans, are a social animal. And again, I am only talking for myself, but being able to "not care" what the hell if this isn't the best food for me, is a liberation. And who knows, maybe the positives effects on the whole body we get from gathering with friends, having a good time, just doing the dumb ass once in a while, has a lot more impact than we think on our overall health?

Paix et amour.

I will just talk about my experience here. Since cutting down carbs, because of a candida issue, I think paleo eating (cooked) did help me to gain my health back, no question about it. But in the same time, I feel like I am in no way able to cope with toxins, whether sugar, smoke, alcohol, or any other toxins, as I used to be able to in the past. Now I must say about the raw paleo way of eating, that it is even worst. If I go for a while eating only raw, I will have the worst detox ever if I go off the way. But in the same time my digestion when eating raw really seems at his best, or shall I say at his easiest.

So that bring me to ask: are we too much cleaning our self that we have weaker ability to deal with theses ?

I am what people around me would call an extremist. If I go one way, I go all the way. In looking for the best, the truth, I have no problems stepping aside of, let's say, the mass, and going my own way. I assumed that the "mass" is wrong, stupid, or unawakened and that they need to be taught. As I mature, I feel that there is a middle way in everything, even in diet. So that's what I have been wondering for a while, if the middle path isn't the way, at least for myself. High sugary carbs is definitively a bad food for me. High fat is definitively a healing food for me.

Now I must say again that I don't have years of eating raw, and that when I tried to stick to it, I failed to achieve the benefits most talk about. Maybe I am just too weak to hold on, maybe I am not sick enough, but I respect every opinions since I think we all are talking from our own experience.

I don't know if you guys know http://www.karlloren.com/, but in his diary, he talk about his experience with raw primal eating, the goods and the bads. He finally gave it up because of the stance he was creating between himself and his wife and his other relatives. Well I feel just like him.

Is it weakness, or is it just that sharing moments while eating "not the best healing" food with people we love is actually worth more in the long run...?

The charcoal you talk about, is it activated charcoal?
Do you take it with meal?

About the adrenal, I've never eaten any. What type would be the recommended adrenal?
And does it really matter if I can only get them frozen? still good?

Thanks for your help!

Primal Diet / gaining fat prior to detox
« on: January 21, 2010, 10:12:00 am »
Hi everyone,

I bought the recipes for living without diseases a while ago and a part of it made great sense to me. Here it is i'll just quote it

Quote
The Recipe For Removing Deep-Tissue Toxicity

On the Primal Diet, it is very important to gain and lose weight to remove imbedded toxicity. Without excess fat, the body cannot afford to make solvents, dissolve toxicity, neutralize, harness and contain it. Low body-fat levels only allow for basal metabolism and no deep cleansing. Most diseases are caused by concentrations of embedded toxicity. When a person lacks fat reserve, any toxin that enters the body or is loosed will cause cellular damage. They will be absorbed into cells. When a body has fat-reserves, toxins are collected and absorbed into fat, where they do little harm.

Hew many thin people do we know who are calm'? How many thin people do we know who are hyperactive, physically and/or emotionally intense, easily irritated, manic, short-fused, and never satisfied? How many who are overweight? Physically, raw fat and happy is more often true. Our idea about thin should be refashioned until we become healthy. Now, fat is beautiful.

I recommend that men gain 15-30 pounds and women 12-15 pounds above what should be their normal weight (not according to thin-fashion). The excess weight should be achieved within two months. It should be maintained for another 2 months. That allows the body to utilize the stored fats as solvents to withdraw toxins from deep tissue and dissolve them. Then, it is time to eat the weight-loss diet to remove the toxin-filled excess fats. The process is similar to an oil-change in machinery. When the oil becomes black and thick with waste, it is time to change it. For the human body, I found that the cycle is best employed twice yearly. That vastly reduced symptoms of detoxification when detoxification occurred.

I would really appreciate if anyone has experienced it, to share their thoughts. And anyone else their opinions on the idea behind it.

Thanks ahead all.

Great, thank you all for your response.

Are you eating enough fat? What is your typical daily meal composed of?
I can't tell by weight or by calories but, by volume, I eat almost half my meal(grass fed beef) as fat (suet and marrow).

I can feel hot when I eat too much.
Hi ya William from Canada. Where are you from? I'm from a little town in Quebec.

I eat as much as I feel I need to be full. Would you suggest I eat more? Right now I eat 400gr of beef a day in 2 meals. I weight 130lb and I am not that active.

it's possible that you have a very weakened thyroid gland, causing increased intolerance to cold(and sometimes heat)
Would the thyroid weakness explain that when I was eating cooked, I was always hot? Here winter can be cold and I used to be the only one hot while others kept complaining about the cold. Regarding these weak gland issues Tyler I wanted to ask you if, they should heal just by nutrients found in the meat or, I would need to supplement with raw gland?

Quote
Eating a diet very high in raw meat should warm you up(indeed, in the heat of summer, I often reduce my meat-intake and up my plant-food-intake).
I will probably feel the same as you regarding the summer time. But my coldness was related to this time of year, and like you said, I am only starting so I'll just wait a little more and see.

Welcoming Committee / digestion adaptation question

Hi everyone, I've been peeking here and there in this forum for the last 6 months gathering info from advanced users and want to thanks them all for that! What a great open minded community.

I have been doing cooked paleo for the last 2 years with great health results. Then I kept feeling a little tired after eating a cooked meal and was already coming to this forum at that time. I decided to give it a shot and eat raw beef and suet. With some fall back on the 100% raw diet, I got used to it and did ok with the taste. Now that I have gone 100% raw, I feel cold pretty much all the time. While when I was cooking food I was Always hot. Is this detox? Have anyone else experienced that?

« on: December 27, 2009, 01:48:16 pm »
Hi GoodSamaritan. It's my second post. The first was the topic I posted yesterday. I have been hanging around here for longer though.

Concerning your topic, that's exactly the same type of info that I posted in my 1st one. The climate change seems to be a hoax just like many others we hear about. I don't have a "good writing" (i'm french) but this guy, Jesse Ventura who is a renown US navy seal, actor, wrestler and governor, is investigating in some of these conspiracy theories, just like that one of global warming.

H.A.A.R.P. is a good one too. look for it on youtube (ex: jesse ventura conspiracy theory) I feel it worth a peak, if you like a good conspiracy theory, and unanswered questions.

Make me feel a better to hang around here to read what's on this forum. To share with other "researchers of the truth", basically health but it goes beyond that for most of us, doesn't it?

peace
