Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Re: Current view on zero/low carb?
« on: August 07, 2019, 04:16:33 am »
I didn't feel well on very low carb after some time.. realized by accident that increasing carb intake improved my well-being. I experimented by eating some cooked rice, which helped at first, but caused problems after some week. I figured out that eating some cooked meat (I ate only raw for nearly a year at that time) had the same positive effects as the rice / increased carbs. So maybe it was a too low calorie issue.
Anyway, I have the impression that women more often have problems with low carb? At least I heard of many women reporting that, they were not raw paleo diet followers though.

Health / Re: weakening eyesight
« on: May 17, 2019, 10:11:51 pm »
I recently had problems with worse eyesight as well..
Through some experimenting I figured out it was related to carbs, just as you little Elephant has guessed for your problems as well. When I experimented with increasing my carb intake through eating rice, my eyesight got worse, along with other prediabetic and b1 deficiency symptoms.
I had some of these symptoms already before increasing my carbs intake, not the bad eyesight though. Anyway, I figured out I was low in b1 since some time. I supplemented with some b1 to see if it helps and it indeed did, even though I am not a fan of supplementing. But sometimes on the short run at least it can be beneficial, because otherwise I didn't know how to restore my b1 levels fast to get my eyesight back. Was a little scary.
Pork has a lot of b1, so from now on I will eat more of it, which I nearly never did in the past.

Health / Re: Statin, Altered my mitochondria
« on: May 07, 2019, 03:09:19 am »
I know someone personally who had severe mitochondrial and metabolic damage who healed and is still healing himself with a raw primal diet. It wasn't a linear progress / improvement though, it took him some discoveries and adjustments through the years.
It seems with some conditons one might make more adjustments and changes than others and maybe that's especially the case with mitochondrial issues. So if I were you i'd begin a raw primal diet but observe throughout the process if you need to change / add sth.
Good luck :)

At first, me neither, I couldn't imagine a problem with letting ferment the high meat for longer than a year.. Since the longer one lets it sit, the further the bacteria will decompose / predigest the meat and the more bacteria will arise.

On the other side, what happens when there is no food left for tw bacteria? I don't know what biochemical processes occur then. Bacteria die-off? Toxic byproducts? Maybe that's what the man in your posted video refers to as being dangerous in to old high meat.

Doesn't have to be a known place, if someone knows a private person keeping animal(s) for that and who would let me pick up some raw milk for money or another deal like helping out with the animals, please let me know :)

Sorry for the very late reply.

I am thinking again of going to Lisbon, so if anyone knows about a raw milk source around Lisbon, please let me know. You can also send me a private message. Preferably cow because it keeps fresh longer, but goat, sheep, buffalo would be great as well.
Maybe it's even better if I start an own post on this. Let's see.
Thanks in advance :)

Great you feel improvements, especially the music enjoyment sounds recharging.

What do you mean by wobbling / shaking? Is it like muscle twitching?

Just a hint from my experience, I recommend to take care of symptoms that your body might miss something. I'm saying that because your diet includes just a few different foods, which for sure is ok for some time and seems to be ok for some people for a long period of time. But at least for my case I can say that I pretty fast had some nutrients missing when I ate only a few different things. And it took me some time to correct these imbalances / new problems that occured. Not saying that will happen to you as well, but just listen to your body and you will probably notice. Also I think that is why some people here recommend to eat the whole animal (or at least a variety of it).

And also watch out for too much Vitamin A symptoms from liver consumption. I got intoxicated and unfortunately noticed pretty late because I didn't know the symptoms. Some people are ok with so much liver, some are not and yeah some recommend not to exceed more than 100gr. a week (because of Vitamin a and/or copper). But here again I would just observe it. And since everyones bodies needs are different at a time and so one can tolerate more / less. I think my problem was that I was pretty low in zinc but the liver needs it to make use of Vitamin a, otherwise it will be stored and causes problems. Also Vitamin D plays a role in how much Vitamin a can tolerate.

Well, anyway, maybe that will help one day.
Best wishes.

Thank you for the information!
I already had the impression that it's pretty hard to find a raw milk source in / directly around Lisbon. I've been in Portugal a few times and I know it's doable to get raw goat milk in the rural areas.
Also I have the impression that in Portugal it's not very common to keep cows, right? So that might be another reason why it's not so easy to purchase raw milk in your country.

Hello BFCP,

a few months ago I thought of going to Lisbon for a while but wasn't sure how to manage my diet there. For example I need a source for raw milk (it kind of saved my life healthwise, but yes I know not everyone is doing good on raw milk) and for grass-fed animal organs, fat and so on. Doing research on such food sources without being able to speak portuguese was pretty hard so I gave up on that plan. So if you don't mind it would be awesome if you could make a list of the food sources you found / you use in and directly around Lisbon. Thank you.
Enjoy the new diet!

I would always just ask the original company if they can tell me a european source for their product. I think sometimes they have stored it at other places as well. I was lucky with that in the past and it's a good possibility to save money.

#Some believe grounding is important, I dont sleep on the floor but I do have a magnetic bed cover

What do you mean with magnetic bed cover? What is it good for?

Health / Re: How to Use Papaya Seeds for Deworming

https://www.therawtarian.com/community/f/discussion/2510/try-it-papaya-seed-cleanse

the website is not very informative on this topic, but at least gives some extra infos: it says eating papaya seeds is a widespread traditional remedy for parasites in Brazil, that is often used by healers & herbalists.
And since some of you asked about it: That girl one the website says this remedy is used by swallowing the whole seeds, not grinding / chewing them. Even though I sometimes read to use them grinded.

Yes that's true.
And yeah this kind of diet (and I mean following it strictly) might not help with every parasite infection. For me at least I can say it worked (including apple cider vinegar and others of these typical things against fungi / parasites), but it takes a long time.

I thought parasite infections / overgrowth pass by with the diet we are following here on the forum.

Hey you, I hope you're feeling better by now. And if not yet, you can be sure at least that going raw paleo was the most important step to do.
I have heard a lot about a so called candida die-off which is exhausting for the body and so one might feel worse at first. But feeling worse could also mean that your body is getting used to that big change. I think when the body heals it is so much work to do, it makes sense one experiences not so nice things as well.
Still I am always careful in just saying "well this kind of feeling bad is just a good reaction, meaning my body is healing / detoxing". I think one can only know what this "feeling worse" means from ones own experiences and gaining a feeling of the own body after some time (which most people lost in the usual kind of lifestyle nowadays). And then you could just act more instinctive, following healthy cravings through which your body shows you you need more of this or that stuff. The pimple problem at least sounds like your body is getting rif of some shit.
How much liver did you consume? Since liver is such a nutrient-dense food it might be that there was some nutrient/s missing when you only consumed raw meat & fat (which is quite probable), so the liver helped you balance it and that's why you felt better? But still, overconsuming liver can have adverse effects as well, that's why I asked how much you consumed.
