lol I actually like him... he makes me laugh.

I like how he teases David Wolfe's clothes for dressing up in those little "Robin Hood costumes."  And how he imitates Matt Monarch.  If you follow the different raw food guru's he pays out on just about all of them in a pretty funny way.  I laughed at his Aajonus video too.

I'll tell you what I like most about him though? He is an example of someone on a 80/10/10/fruitarian diet.  If it was not for all the fruitarians I would not know that it's not the diet for me and may have even tried them myself.  I look at them all and see they have barely any muscle mass at all so I am thankful for the example they provide.

Be careful of cacao.  Even a lot of raw vegans believe it is very toxic.

How did it go?

Any links to where I can view or download this interview?

No, the fat will not help if you eat such an absurd amount of protein. The liver can only process 400g of protein a day. More than this and you will be in trouble.

So you think what happened to redfulcrum wasn't rabbit starvation but he just ate more meat than his body could handle?

5
I just read this whole thread and I'm a bit confused.

So redfulcrum is saying rabbit starvation is really "amino acidosis" which is an excess of amino acids in the blood stream?

So how does raw fat fix that? Does the fat store or remove them in some way?

And why does hitting yourself with a coin fix it?

Damn...

I've been eating raw meat and raw organs for a bit over a year now... but those pictures make me feel a bit funny...

Like it triggers something in me that says eating meat is wrong or something... I suppose I'm not used to being confronted with a chopped off skinned head of the animal with the eye ball looking up at me like that.  I just get my meat nicely filleted in a bag.

It also looks like the animal is crying a tear of blood.

thanks.

General Discussion / Re: Is AV wrong?
« on: February 22, 2010, 12:59:20 am »
Kurian probably got that info from durianriders anti-AV youtube video.

The part where AV says he only eats half raw is when he got extremely sick and craved some french bread and he smeared garlic over it.

to paraphrase.. "and it was at this point I knew 70% of the foods in my diet would be raw."

He ended up going 100% though.

Just a side question, do not let it detract from the original questions, but: http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f15/0-carb-diet-718202/index23.html Does anyone know who 'Solkanar' is?

Yeah.. in that thread his posts got deleted because he was copy pasting Bears posts to explain the science behind it.

You know Bear? The veteran who developed a following after posting on the lowcarb forum that he had been eating only cooked meat for 40 years.

Solkanar follows a zero carb diet very similar to how most on www.zerocarbage.com forum eat. He is a part of those who believe that seared/bleu rare meat is more beneficial to raw because it eliminates surface bacteria.

His other dietary beliefs an:d habits
He is against raw milk because of the belief we lack the digestive enzyme lactase.
He does not eat or believe in the health benefits of vegation.. like Bear.
Fatty red meat is the #1 food
Carbohydrates by means of insulin are the SINGLE cause of heart disease.
Eggs need to be cooked because of the anti-vitamin in the white. Whites suck and the yolks are king.
All dairy should be pasteurised because of TB or brucelosis
Rapid heating and flash cooling of milk is worth far more than any percieved loss.
Internal temperature of meat should never pass 104 degrees fahrenheit.

Hi.

I was told at the gym the other day that going swimming after lifting weights will waste all the work I have just done. ie. I won't get any bigger becuse the blood has been pumped to different parts of my body when swimming.

Is this true? The guy who told me was just another gym go'er like myself so I don't want to take JUST his word for it.

Any advice appreciated.

gotta love broscience... lol

You''ll still grow.  The swimming might actually help you recover faster too.

Primal Diet / Re: How important is coconut cream?
« on: January 13, 2010, 10:19:58 am »
1.5 hrs?  :o

If anyone wants a tip... before you pierce the coconut for it's water and break it open... tap/bounce it against the concrete/hard floor repeatedly and the vibrations help loosen the coconut meat from it's shell. Do it hard but not quite hard enough so the coconut smashes open. It also depends on the coconut.. maybe where you are they are different.  Sometimes I get lucky and the coconut meat will be so loose I can do it in a few mins but other times it might take 10-15 mins.

Phew.. I was about to make a thread on coconut cream.  I thought I was the only one.

Coconut cream makes me feel nauseous and give me diarreah.

Is it possible the nauseous feeling is the fat pulling toxins out of cells?

anyway im gonna stick with animal fat.

the Massai drink cows blood
So what nutriotion does this contain?....sodium,iron, protein?
I was thinking about getting pigs blood or cows when slaughtered.

And also, do you guys eat salt? Because ajonous says dont consume that.Should i be worried about my sodium intake if i dont eat salt?

Just about every food has sodium in it.  Tomatoes are one of many foods high in sodium.

General Discussion / Re: What do you think about David Wolfie?
« on: October 11, 2009, 09:18:46 pm »
Hello all,

While I agree that eating animal meat and fats is a good ideea, I cant shake the feeling that some people may be more optimised to eat fruits or vegetables. What do you think about that?

I mean, look at David Wolfie. He seems really vibrant and helthy. Or, is it because he does a lot of cocoa (or cacao) and other medicinal plants?

So far I noticed that after consuming some raw butter I dont dont feel cold most of the time anymore.

M.

Hey majormark, read this.. People who have met David Wolfe say something different.

Sarah…thank you for your interest in the discussion. My experience in Hawaii led me to many stories just like yours. Raw vegans tend to do great for about 5-7 years, then they invariably hit the wall. When I saw David Wolfe for the first time in person, this was confirmed. David is in poor physical condition but has invested so heavily in his nutritional protocol (financially and philosophically) that he has no choice but to continue, or at least deceive his followers into believing he is doing so. You were right to develop a valid means of evaluating your information, otherwise it is little more than propoganda. Some vegans get stuck because the diet actually affects their cognitive capacity, leaving them with no means to objectively determine what is wrong with their diets. I admit to feeling very calm, focused and centered compared to the raw vegans I have spent time with. You are right that the inclusion of raw animal products to your diet is the key to this.
I would love to visit you both in TNQ in the future.

I have met Scott Wheeler and he is the real deal.  He is a nutritionist/personal trainer and a long term primal dieter.

Oh and watch this video that features him discussing the primal diet on a major tv network's current affairs program.  It also features(and contrasts ;)) him with a long term dedicated fruitarian who has written books on the subject.

Primal Diet / Re: GOING TO MEET AAJONUS ON MONDAY
« on: August 28, 2009, 10:54:29 am »
Hey Sav why did Aajonis recommend the cooked starch?

The fat and starch combination will transport the heavy metals out your system.  It's in his book.  His "serving" of rice is pretty small.

In WWTL Aajonis says that the cooked starch/raw fat combo will also bind with excess insulin taking it out of the body.

my favourite starch meal is 8 raw egg yolks in a bowl and stir them with a spoon so its like a soup, and eat them with a piece of toast to dip in, or break the toast up like crutons in a soup.  The toast is drenched in organic extra virgin olive oil.  To make it nicer if its cold where you live bring the egg yolks up to room temperature by putting them in the oven at very low heat for a few mins.

Thanks Sav.  I hope you manage to "adjust" to eating the raw eggs.

I certainly have heard the good and the bad about him; with the good outweighing the bad.    But the egg thing?  He has to know that hardly anyone is going to be able to find eggs that aren't a direct product of chickens eating gobs of corn and soy to maintain profitable production/egg laying rates.  Don't get it.  And then there's the forcing something down your throat when presumably the body is screaming   'I don't want anymore'.  But then maybe he really does know something.  I have heard this egg prescription over and over.  ????

Are the primal diet foods hard to get in the U.S?  In Australia organic free range eggs are pretty common.  But usually we have to buy from family farms where chickens can roam around freely eating bugs and not just "organic soy and grains."

I heard it's hard to get unfrozen grass fed meat in the U.S too. Is that true?

Hey Sav, did you go to Aajonus' workshop yesterday?

If so what did you think of it?

I'm interested in what Aajonus recommends for you especially when you tell him about your dairy and egg problems.  I have the same thing with raw egg whites, so I usually just eat the yolks.
