Hi everyone

I mentioned this in my introduction, but I thought I'd say it again here to be clearer.

I publish a raw foods magazine called Funky Raw, it covers all aspects of the raw food diet, but there hasn't been much about the raw paleo diet. So I wondered if anyone wanted write something? An introduction to the diet, your success on the diet, etc, etc.

Currently there is no payment for articles, it's more about spreading the word about healthier eating, but you do get a free copy of the magazine, and a 10% discount from the Funky Raw online shop.

If anyone is interested or has any questions you can email me at magazine@funkyraw.com or post questions here.

thanks, Rob

You can be as strict or not strict as you want! Probably one of the worst problems with "alternative" diets is when people become obsessed by them.

With regards the amount of calories, personally I've never counted calories. Listen to your body, if you really feel hunger then eat, if not, don't eat. Don't try to fit to some supposed "correct" amount of calories. Also, I think at your age while still growing and developing you might sometimes need more calories than others.

Congrats in taking the leap! Did you like the taste?

It was ok. Not my favourite food in the world, but not bad either. I marinated it in lemon juice for a couple of hours and ate it with some salad.

Last night, I ate raw chicken liver for the first time ever! I marinated it in lemon juice for 2 hours before eating. Can't believe I finally did it. Wasn't that hard, I've just been afraid of raw meat due to societies general fears around it.

Hi Tyler
Great, just try writing something and see what happens. I'm happy to edit it, and give suggestions for better ways of writing. (Not that I'm the best writer in the world, just that I ended up publishing a magazine so had to learn!)

Ok, I'll try the link then, for anyone interested in writing for the magazine, there is more info here: http://www.funkyraw.com/magazine/contributing.php

Hi Isthmus

Yes, there seems to be a lot of ex-vegans around! It was great to start with, but really didn't work for me for the long term.
Glad you like our honey! I love honey, and the stuff we sell is some of the best I've ever tasted, and the same with the pollen...

Hi

Many years ago I started out on the raw food path, starting as a raw vegan, then progressing to raw vegetarian and then to omnivore. It was a Weston Price conference that I went to that got me to start eating meat again. I currently eat fish raw, along with a little bit of cooked meat - at some point I will try raw meat!

For about 6 years, I have been running a raw food business and publishing a raw food magazine, Funky Raw. The magazine covers all aspects of the raw food movement, but lacking is raw paleo. So I'm here to see if any of you more experienced raw paleo dieters are up for writing an article/articles for the magazine? At the moment, there is no payment to any of the authors, still a small magazine, but you do get a free copy of the magazine, plus a 10% discount at the Funky Raw shop.

I guess as  I'm new here I can't post links, so if anyone is interested you can email me at magazine@funkyraw.com

cheers, Rob
