i dont see the difference if i got ketonemia or not. but when i got ketonuria i cant sleep and i have got a headache. i dont like fruits but i have to eat some carbs to avoid this >:

I don't know if it was from here, but I remember someone linked to a doctor saying that smoking may actually be overall beneficial for some SAD dieters. Because it negated some ill-effects of metabolic syndrome, or suchlike.

its because cigarettes can stimulate symphatetic nervous system (15-20 cigarettes a day) or block that system (40 or more)

well, i eat about 60g a day, unless i've got a big physical efford-then 100-120g

Also... If it is physically comfortable to do so, do you think it is safe to lie face-up with the sun beating down on one's face, with only the eyelids to cover the eyes?

dr W. Bates recommend eyes sunbathing as a form of therapy, so it supposed to be good for eyes. The question is for how long its safe.

RawZi, did you have just sunburns or also skin rash? im asking because two of my friends are vegan and both are allergic to the sun.

it looks quite suspicious for me too, but we know far to little about the crash at present, so its hard to conclude.

Children can get cheilitis, even if they're not B vitamin deficient. It usually happens when their lips get really chapped or they get bad windburn, or when they wont stop licking their lips. So its not always a sign of B vitamin deficiency, Gep. =]

pity my mom didnt know it in those days. i was forced to eat grains to deliver B vitamin -v

General Discussion / Re: How can you tell if the meat has been frozen?

You can do a little experiment; buy fresh meat, than freeze one part of it, and compare the two pieces the next day ;)

I think thats because normally in sunny months skin can produce 80-100% daily request for the vitamin, so body dont have to absort it from food. If there is no sun, the absortion should be more efficient.

I would never use a sunbed. (im afraid somebody or something will lock the door and im gona burn like a grilled chiken) :o

In a winter our skin can produce just a little amount of vitamin D, but I think when you eat organ meat and animal fat daily, you shouldnt have deficiency.

I never met someone who experienced hair color change. it was always strange for me and for others.
If youre right and its based on hormons its a pity for me, because it would be nice to be blond again :)
Im on 100%RPD for 2 months and still dont see hair improvement.

Kokki,
I wish I had thick hair. Now my hair is thin and weak:(
I dont think the blond hair is unhealthy if its my natural color;P

I can be wrong but I think the darkening of my hair may be linked to the toxins in my body. It started to geting darker about the time Ive got pneumonia. I felt good but my mom gone panic and she insisted my GP to put me in a hospital (it was my first and last time) I suspect they could insert a lot of shits into my veins in that time. can it be the reason? if color of our hair is stored in our genes so why is it changing acording to the age?

I eat 1 small serving of fruit/honey a day. just enough to prevent ketosis.
