AV is a bloody fool as regards his raw dairy stance. He has made similiar moronic, utterly false, claims such as the notion that mixing raw honey with raw milk makes it OK to consume for those with lactose-intolerance and so on.  The fact is, my own allergies towards raw dairy have stayed the same despite being almost a decade into going rawpalaeo, so I have good reason to doubt this mindless Aajonism.

Exactly.First of all milk is designed to be baby food ONLY.Look at the animal world.Once they are weaned,do you see any of them go back to their mothers for milk?No
Of course,in our society,we will bottle it up and sell it as the healthiest product in the world for everybody. One of the biggest dietary scams ever.Raw or otherwise. This is one of the reasons I'm not the biggest AV fan.Even though I've met him and he had a positive influence on me,his salesmanship of dairy and honey(which are both sweet as heck by the way) turned me in a different direction.

If dairy is a such a great food then why is there such a fairly large percentage of the population(world wide) lactose intolerent?

I know people who swear by the raw milk cure diet, 100% raw milk and no other food.  They do it for months, some even for a couple of years.

Good luck if you're lactose intolerent l)

Do you have a Whole Foods nearby? They always have some grass fed beef.

Sorry,not true.In Vancouver I asked them specifically.It's grain-finished.

IMO that doesn't really matter, because there are plethora of bald men who are much healthier and who live longer than those who have got hair. The same is with the colour of hair.

Yeah,I mean Ronald Reagan had the best hair I've ever seen. And how was his health? l)

I'd be willing to bet that Jack dyes his hair.Fake orange color is a dead give away ;) But,at least the hair is real.

I believe so as well. I felt the worst when I went to extremes to cleanse my body. It was like constant "die-off" for months. I don't think you need extreme die-off reactions to heal yourself. Wouldn't the bacteria in the raw meat be the most valuable part when looking at some form of dysbiosis like this in the body?

Actually,I believe it's the fat that is important in this case.Right now I'm on coconut oil and pork back fat. It's working out really well.I've got a nice die-off rash going but I still feel energetic from the quality fats. When I did the water fasts I had die-off but no energy.
Raw meat will be good.....but later for rebuilding.

I've been doing a little cooked yam/root/veg as part of my diet. It doesn't seem necessary for me to put on weight or muscle, I've been downright emaciated 3-4 times in the last 5 years on a variety of approaches to raw (including RAF)

Not to derail the thread, but in the end how did you gain?

wow dude.I think RPD is still experimental at this stage for most people anyway. The groups/societies that did well on it during their time a long time ago, didn't think of themselves as RPD at that time. They just ate what they thought was best, or could find, or adapted to.
I guess you're discovering that for yourself as well.good luck and keep us posted.

Btw,now get ready for the posts that will ask you if you ate enough fats to gain weight ;)

Couple of points:-

1) This whole business of "selling a diet" is ridiculous. We are not a cult, nor is there any real incentive for us to persuade people who are not all that interested in our diets.

2)   Actually, the best thing one can do is to read through the entire message-archives of rawpaleoforum and related RVAF diet forums.

I agree, one should do their "research" first.Secondly, they might want to experiment with the diet for a while and see how they feel.

I remember when I joined a tennis club, nobody had to "sell" me on being interested in playing tennis 8)

I have not been to the doctor in the past year and I will not take an antibiotic unless I am dieing. I blame antibiotics for allot of my past fungal issues. Whenever I would go to the doctor with chronic infections they would just write out for an antibiotic and send me on my way.

Yeah, when I took tetracycline as a kid it gave me yellow teeth. What a deal >: I later bleached them to make them reasonably white again.I wish there was a way to measure any improvements,if any,we make in lowering the quantity of fungus/candida.
When I fasted I had the most die off...BUT unfortunately at the time I was a believer in juicing. When I ended the fast I started juicing(fruits not steroids..lol)thinking that was the best way to eat.Of course all I wound up doing was re-feeding the fungus/candida >D Man,if I knew then what I know now. :'(

I've been ZC or VLC for over 6 months now, i still have some candida symptoms. I don't expect to be at maximum health for a few years, nor should you, Systemic candida is serious stuff and takes a long time to heal. I've been reading the Candida forum on curezone for like 10 years, 100 000+ posts, and i've never heard of anyone being cured with a quick fix. In fact, the very rare cure testimonials on candida forums, it's usually from people who went raw while the rest of the people who take antifungals, supplements, etc never get better. That's pretty much how i'd sum up candida forums. I really need to experiment with high-meat to see if it'd speed up my recovery.

Nation, did you check out Bee Wilder's site as well?

My step-father is in the hospital for some care and testing at the moment, and I noticed he doesn't seem to have much choice as to what he is being fed.
Anyone have experience being in the hospital and bringing their own food or whatever alternative?

Btw,my step-father is not complaining. It's just that I wonder what I would do if I was "stuck" in that kind of situation.

I'm on that diet as well, i guess we need to come up with our own name. How about Raw Meat-Organ diet? There can't be any confusion with that name.

Yes,I agree. The only thing is,is that I also eat cucumbers. So,I'm going to have to stick to RVLC 8)

In that case, then I am Paleo ZC, which means no dairy.

Right! That's the distinction I've been looking for. However, how can ZC include dairy? Isn't lactose considered a sugar which is in turn a considerable carb??

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Re: Zero Carb Terminology
« on: December 07, 2010, 11:34:43 am »
Thanks Phil. But what's Raw Meat No Dairy/No Lactose called? One reason I actually like the term ZC is because it's a great term for those who are on a "Candida Diet".It takes out all the sugars(from fruits, dairy or honey). That's my perception of it anyway.

Most people on ZIOH are not successful because they eat too often, eat poor quality meat and don't exercise.

Isn't Charles a distance runner? So,it's just Charles and DelFuego that seem healthy on that forum? I wonder if dairy has something to do with it as well?

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Re: Gaining fat?
« on: December 05, 2010, 06:32:49 am »
Yes,fat becomes the primary energy source and when ratio is too high, one can gain weight. This has been established.Even if protein can be turned to glucose it's more of an alternate/secondary energy source than a weight gain factor. And,if it influences weight gain at all,it wouldn't be a major factor. At least, that's my understanding.Feel free to clarify with Lex.

Steak, best person to ask is Lex.He's got good numbers figured out on this stuff. Also, read Krystel's journal. She talks about it quite a bit.Even though it was a while ago.

Miles,no I eat cucumbers, radishes, bell peppers and a few other things as well.

Interesting stuff. So I take it the Caveman forum is cooked Paleo? And the vegan person posted on a carnivore forum?

I wonder how a "carnivore" would be received on a vegan forum? ;)

What I find interesting is that RPD'ers at least seem to have one common goal: health
All the other "health diet" sites seem to always have ulterior motives:politics, spirituality, joining "fads"...etc.
