where do you live?   And yes, clabbered is good.   I agree, bone marrow when you actually weigh what you get out of bone is Very expensive.   Maybe you could try lamb.  I switch between lamb and beef for my two meals a day.  Rarely if at all, I think, do they age lamb.  I really like  good lamb fat.

I usually had three different strains of Kefir going at a time. Would switch between them.   I enjoyed the most adding raw milk to my kefir one to  one.   Made a very creamy not overly acidic drink.  I enjoyed the benefits of dairy for about 15 years.  Then it no longer was beneficial.   "We' tend to do what we believe in, or, if we have an initial good result with something, we repeat.  I repeated a long time and preached the benefits of dairy.

Watched your talk with Tristen.  You came across most excellent this time.  Very composed, confident, patient ( with Tristen ).   Way to go, and thank you.

Now mostly chicken and dairy, I for sure will be interested to see you fare long term.  I too gained weight years ago  when I included my own goats' milk.  Cows milk, especially has an insulin effect which most often will stimulate weight gain.

I was surprised to hear AV mention he had three different wardrobes.  One set of pants at 31 inches, another at 34, and another at 37.  Got to wonder how much honey and butter he ate to achieve that sort of weight gain.  And all supposedly just to detox his bodies fat stores.  Too bad he had to check out early, for in another 15-20 years he could have totally detoxed and shared that experience.

Digestive problems Depend on what you eat and what you happen to eat together...
I have had chronic stomach pain, digestive issues... and have been underweight my entire life until I was given a copy of we want to live.
If you have any digestive issues read we want to live AND the recipe for living without disease.

were you eating raw animal products primarily when you were this unhealthy underweight person?

I also appreciate the work of Diamond and his understanding of how sugar attaches itself to every molecule in the body and how corrosive it is.

Sure, although I think most on the forum would agree with him on vaccines, bacteria, parasites, detoxification, supplements and much of the other stuff Ajanous authored.

My issue with him is the extreme way he created tales to garner other's attention, his never ending prescriptions that kept him in cash, his recommendations regarding chicken ( one of the most unhealthy foods you can eat ) the overconsumption and prescriptions of eating eggs, his 'addiction' to eating honey and butter, his avoidance of recommending sourcing out animal fat, prescribing dairy for seemingly everyone, his thoughts about salt being explosive in the body, his notion we can't absorb water we drink, that it has to come from juice.  The list goes on, but can't keep them all in my head.    My biggest complaint, and it's a big one for me, is that he kept people in their heads regarding how they needed to eternally cleanse and what special combinations people needed to practice to heal.
It's like a yoga teacher that convinces you that you need to keep coming to his/her class to practice yoga.
The trap is that  for someone just starting out eating raw paleo it can be so anxiety promoting with all the 'weird' foods that we tend to 'need' someone to tell us how to do it, we want 'it' so bad.  And so we put our trust in them.  Krishnamurti continually said not to take him as their guru.  They did anyway.  It's human nature.  And almost more so when you're anxious about healing yourself.  I'm not saying he didn't have something to offer, just that he went overboard to increase his audience numbers and didn't confront his methods.  And so his tales continued to grow.
He's not the first to eat raw meat, or talk about bacteria, vaccines, detox, or supplements..  but he was the one who could spin the biggest tale about each of those subjects.
I only wish that people here when they speak of him, if it could be from clear personal experience that is checked over time.   Too quickly we think we have the answer and proclaim it to the world, and in doing so pull along others before we really know.  God, those things I used to tell my parents when I went raw vegan in the '70s. So embarrassing to me today.

Sorry whenever I see statements like " AV was nearly always right "   I feel the need, so that newbies don't attach themselves to him thinking that 'we' here all follow him, to point out he was just as 'wrong' about things as he was right.  We can each have our opinion.

Primal Diet / Re: Best natural shaving cream?
« on: December 05, 2018, 01:05:48 am »
plenty of hot water, steam shower if you have one, and join the dollar shave club, and use a sharp razor.  Haven't used shaving creme since high school when I believed you needed it.   Shaving creme holds and adds moisture to the hairs.  A natural soap will do the same.

hard to remember exactly, but maybe three times.   Not that I needed three times,, who knows, but each time I perfected the culture and implantation method so felt warranted to give it another go.

For the most part, I wasn't eating meat then, just living off my goats' milk she gave.   Now with a carnivore diet, it wouldn't make sense to attempt as I have zero food for those bacteria to survive on in my colon.

You probably know..  but Tristin has gone pretty much carnivore and now eats more and more raw.  Should be an interesting show.

I recently took a flu shot due to pressure and it was a disaster. 2 hours later, I got, for the first time in my life,  a painful UTI.

are you kidding? You actually took a flu shot? Or is that a qoute?

I don't know where the article got their data.  the numbers I keep seeing is about ten percent reduction.  When studies were done on going veg., the numbers for other pollutants didn't include the total damage done from start to finish..  For instance, a car creates pollutants, but manufacturing a car creates also a huge amount.  Thus the transportation numbers are really much higher than reported.   Bottom line, is the data has been incredibly distorted by groups who want to persuade.  The actual numbers are a totally different story.

have a radish or two, or a big thick dark green leek leaf as a snack in between meals.  Fruit will most likely cause cravings if truly on zero carb.

General Discussion / Re: How to filter shower and bath water?
« on: November 26, 2018, 02:33:26 am »
simple carbon shower filter.  Don't worry about traveling, unless you're a traveling salesperson

And don't forget that large human hunting parties had little problem taking down large big game like elephants.  Again, many thousands of years ago the animals were much bigger and more plentiful.  Meat and fat was easy to have.  More fat on bigger animals. More brain, and more marrow, and more liver...

118
the one I saw there were five or six big Masais with spears and blades running to a lion with fresh kill.

119
and that's why I put the time in to suggest to others here to develop a fine taste for fat.  Way too easy to overlook, especially when some have a hard time finding good quality fresh fat, and tend to settle for what they have.

120
You can easily find on Utube tribes running off lions off a kill,,

121
YES I GET IT.  THEY DO A LOT.   But show me a study where they are implanted in someone eating zero carb.  Or even better, show me one analysis where they've identified those bacteria from someone eating zc.   Until that is presented, we're both speaking in the dark.

122
your last sentence sums up my point.    "healthy' gut microbes from a carb eating person will have little effect or value for someone eating zero carb.    Again, I'd be open for a fecal transplant from a healthy Masai or Inuit  from 80 years ago.    And no I didn't detail each of the links, but did look.

123
you're mixing or confusing fermented or aged meats and fish proteins with rancid fats.  Just because a sled dog may get better energy out of fermented fish proteins, doesn't mean it's going to pay the price in it's latter years for having ingested rancid fats. Same applies to humans.    Take a sip of rancid cod liver oil, and a sip of fresh, or for that matter any rancid oil or fat, and then tell me you prefer the rancid over the fresh.  What is happening is the fermented proteins are masking the rancid taste of the fat.

124
to further clarify.  I have eaten zero carb for some time.  Most donors are not zero carb eaters, and have an abundance of bacteria specifically eating simple sugars or non broken down carbs of all sorts including fibrous veggies and fruits.  These bacteria need sugars and carbs and fibers to continue multiplying.   Without, they perish.      Yes, the specific bacteria that they may have that digest their fats and proteins will transfer, but, why should I assume they are any better than the ones I've cultivated?

General Discussion / Re: Fruit controls
« on: November 21, 2018, 12:56:42 am »
I can sympathize with the fruit grower.  Don't have the facts, but presumably, orchards can be decimated by certain bugs introduced artificially from other areas of the world.  And I think it has to do with cosmetics too, say if a bug has blemished the skin, thus reducing it market value.
