I mostly see people eat fresh raw meats or high meats here on this whole community, not just zero carb.

I am wondering why I don't see more chacuterie meats? They are always raw, and if homemade, not full of nitrates and such.

Additionally, why not fermented meats, like a fish sauce? Or an air dried, fermented sausage?

I am going to start experimenting with making these types of foods. They are delicious, raw, only have spices from the plant species, have beneficial bacteria and molds.

It makes sense to me. The whole " parasites are just a scare" doesn't make much sense to me, considering that humans have created curing/smoking/cooking over hundreds of thousands of years, to combat them and preserve meats. What is everyone's thoughts on this?

I know I dont want to eat cooked foods, and I love cured meats, and cold smoked meats. Salami with a good aged cheese and raw honey... Oh my!! Minus the honey and you have an incredible carnivorous meal.

I just see, when people aren't raw, like eggs and steaks. Whhyyyyyy!!?? What am I missing (other Than yummy salami haahhhaahhahahaa)

Journals / Robin Love's journal

9/7/17

Here's to my first entry.

Today, I danced around the kitchen at 730 am, after eating a delicious breakfast of a few ounces of ground beef, and 4 eggs. I also had a bit of butter and a small amount of coffee.

This is a far cry from the girl who used to wake up and cry on the way to work, hoping to get hit by a bus and killed.

Diet fucking matters!!

More details to come as I start to process this whole.journey.

This might be my favorite part of this whole community. I love this open journal section already!

Oh, down two pounds in four days since starting the carnivorous style eating!

Hello everyone!

I'm going to be starting zero carb next week. I've tried literally like every diet, and I can't get below 150 lbs, and I have about 25 more to lose. I know why, too. I go keto. Then I start saying " oh some berries are ok as long as it fits my macros." Then I tried fully raw, and next thing I knew, there goes a whole mango. Oh hey, ok back to cooked. Aww look, a mini berry pie with only 3 net carbs... I'll take 3.

See, I used to have a serious alcohol issue. I'm still massively, massively addicted to carbs. I can't seem to handle any, cuz I just binge. Lately, I've noticed that I get backed up on salad, and I'm just craving insane amounts of meat and butter. So, why not go zero carb?!?!

Wish me luck. I'm going to go full force for 30 days, just meat and water. Ideally, I'm hoping I can handle raw beef, raw beef organs, raw eggs, raw butter, and raw cream as my only meal items. Maybe the occasional pound of bacon for a meal.

Additionally, I know that it's supposed to be like zero plant foods, but I've seen spices as acceptable. So, can I do homemade, raw, fermented hot sauce and mustard? Those are "spices", so I'm unsure what the difference here would be. I think I could live happily on raw steak covered in raw mayo made with butter instead of olive oil, that's been lacto fermented, with homemade fermented Chipotle sauce and homemade fermented mustard... Thoughts?

Here are some progress pics.
First pic July 23, second pic today, August 28 (down about 7 pounds, 15 from the start of the journey).

Is it acceptable for me to post topless pics if I cover my nips? Not fair guys can post chest pics if I can't  :)

Aside from the obvious "it's dead and you denature the enzymes" thing, what are the drawbacks to cooking greens, like kale and spinach? For example, a pro is you denature oxalates, and another is you can eat a whole lot more. A con is you kill it! Any other pros/cons? I'm mostly interested in cons. I'm wondering why humans decided to keep cooking greens, and if the cons outweigh this for me, personally.

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Who intentionally eats bugs?
« on: June 17, 2017, 01:02:25 pm »
I'd like to get, say, cricket flour, but we'll... I doubt it's raw. Anyone know.of a raw big flour? Do I have to breed and kill and dehydrate and grind myself? Yick.

I ended up adding butter and honey to the ground beef mixture.

Photographed it's ground beef, raw cheese, sea salt, and some raw milk (not intentionally measuring it, i just didn't want to wash a glass).

Display Your Culinary Creations / Raw tacos yum yum
« on: June 13, 2017, 06:33:14 am »
I made these on raw red romaine.

I finely chopped some fat scraps from local grass fed beef (I was working in a kitchen, they were going to throw away like 5 pounds of it from "trimming" skirt steak... Guess who got to bring it home??)
Added garlic powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, cayenne powder, sea salt, fresh cracked black pepper (all to taste) mixed with fork
Topped with fresh local avocado that is mixed with a touch of raw, local, organic, grass fed cow cream
Tomatoes on top.

So. Damn. Good.

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Raw Omni keto
« on: June 03, 2017, 12:03:43 am »
Do any of you follow of a keto style version of raw Omni? If so, what do you typically eat in a day? I personally love raw milk and honey, which is kinda a no no on keto. Do you do find that protein raw can be eaten in a different amount? As in, does raw protein affect blood sugar levels less than cooked? What about organ meats? Do they have over all less protein?

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Low histamine
« on: June 03, 2017, 12:00:19 am »
I'm thinking of initially gearing my raw Omni diet towards low histamine. After a month of so, I'm going to start including some fermented foods. suggestions for someone who is trying to get their histamine levels back in check? Most homemade fermented foods are chock full of histamines.
