General Discussion / Re: Vitamin D UV Lamp
« on: October 12, 2010, 05:32:41 am »
these lights marketed as VIT D are a rip off. Go to your local indoor growing store, get one twice as strong for half the price.(an old buddy told me about this)

Health / Re: doctors in NYC
« on: October 11, 2010, 05:05:06 am »
U dont need a doctor man. If u become raw paleo, all problems literally disapear, and the doc only gives drugs these days(baddddd). They think you are crazy for not doing exactly as they say, even thought they fuck u over every time with antibiotics or some drug to trigger somthing unnaturally. They make money off u too

General Discussion / Re: HELP EATING RAW FAT PLEASE!!!
« on: October 08, 2010, 02:18:04 am »
It takes c.8-12 months for people to get used to most raw animal foods. Some tricks include eating raw animal foods that are slightly aged, or to cook the relevant meats a little and gradually reduce the cooking temperature by 1 degree every so often until you are fully used to and enjoy the taste of it when 100 percent raw.

Oh, raw bone marrow is delicious! I would push out the fat with my thumb just pop it in my mouth!

(i dont get how u do that!!! but i am jelous lol)
I love raw meat, i have been eating only raw for 2months now, not heated at all, and i find it tastes better than cooked. I just dont understand how people eat bone marrow, it makes me gag. curious if this comes with time or is aquired.ty

General Discussion / HELP EATING RAW FAT PLEASE!!!
« on: October 08, 2010, 01:35:03 am »
i am into eating raw meat now for the last 2months, i read about people eating bone marrow a lot and other fats, but i get gag reflex when i try to consume it, even a tiny bit mixed with lean meat. I am a "lean person" very low fat, 6'1 143pounds and highly athletic Caucasian male. Avocados/coconut oil seems to go down better, but i wanna bulk up for these Canadian winters. HELP PLZ???!!! thanks a lot, all you guys have changed my life in so many positive ways i can only help by paying it forward. Regards,

Andrew

General Discussion / Paleo Resturants are all over
« on: October 02, 2010, 01:49:12 pm »
There are some Paleo Resterants over the place. They are called high class country clubs. My family is members at one in London Ontario Called The Hunt Club. All food is locally organic, meet grassfed/organic and you can order it raw.(in ontario we have a limit on certain organs you can eat though). But ya, check it out, maybe you have one too, hopefully membership is not required like at The Hunt

Hot Topics / Re: Appetite when eating cooked food
« on: October 01, 2010, 06:57:41 am »
I've noticed that my appetite is unbelievably huge when I eat cooked food. I have had the chance to eat unlimited cooked food and fruits several times now in the past 4 months of my raw paleo experiment and each time I gorge myself until I feel sick. I have no off switch.
How does your appetite respond to cooked food?
Is it noticeably increased?
Can you pull yourself away?
Ya i get the same thing. i am almost pressured to eat it with my family tho, my dad HATES me eating raw meat. After i do eat it, i get reallllly itchy all over, even though its cooked grassfed meat. Anyone else get  that?

Off Topic / Regrowing foreskin
« on: September 30, 2010, 03:31:34 pm »
i was circumsised(booooo) as a youngster by my "smart" parents. They just go w the flow and dont really question much. i have now been informed as to how much sesitivity i am missing, and wondering if foreskin does grow back naturally(especially on raw carn). i have read about stretching skin out, but it seems sketchy. I am kinda fking pissed btw, feel cheated

Personals / Re: My dad won't let me eat raw meat, help w informing him?

This. Also, I am not going to be popular for stating this but here goes anyway: It is your dad's house. If you cannot get past his programming with kind attempts at enlightenment, you should still follow his rules. Just my oppinion.

The reality is that there arent a whole lot of scientific evidence for this since all money for this kind of research has been put on another horse for some 30+ years. it is only just now starting to dawn on a young generation of scientists that they disobeyed their call by just accepting things at face value because the right titles and degrees spoke them. I sometimes talk to people from the next generation of nutrition professionals here. They are ofcourse shocked at the mere idea of shunning grains (they advocate eating fermented rye and spelt), but they tell people to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast. Things are changing. Unfortunally for you, this is useless atm. and by the time the relevant results start to show, you are -hopefully- king of your own castle and can eat anything you like at your table :)

edited: try to serve him sushi or sashimi. Sushi is not strictly paleo but it is a good place to start for most people since it is so delicious that some people get kind of shocked when they realise they are eating raw fish (yeah...I know, right? but they are out there!)

Ya i agree, so i just dont do it in from of him. He's a likes his beer cold and has a problem with breaking social norms. I also think when certain people hear about raw paleo, they call u crazy because u are messing with their house of cards belief system. if meat is better raw then.......omg the world is upside down!!!

I am 21, have been eating paleo for 3 some months, but just started eating my organic grass fed meat raw almost 2 weeks ago. i like to be honest and tell people about what i do, but he is really closed minded and thinks i am insane at this point (lol). He will not let me eat my meat raw in the house, and unfortunately i have to live here for the next year due to financial reasons. I have tried to tell him why its better and that its only social conditioning/comfort, but he does not like new ideas or things that make him feel uncomfortable with what he knows.
CAN ANYONE GIVE ME REALLY GOOD INFO/ SCIENTIFIC DOCUMENTED REASONS AS TO WHY RAW MEAT IS BETTER!!!!!????? PLEASE. ty

i have become a paleo guy after a few years of hard drugs and selling green. Left all my loser friends and became a "health freak". i personally only know one other guy my age(21) and my chiropractors do it (30's). as i said i left most my friends, and its hard finding new ones as i don't drink/drug or do most stuff/talk about most stuff kids my age do. This lifestyle is like taking the red pill, you cannot go back. But i love it, and i feel like i am on an exclusive elaborate drug that most people don't even know exists. now I'm just ranting, but just wonderin if ne one else in london does this, it seems we r like vampires and hide out. cheers
