i am just thinking your current diet keeps your body at a level of inflammation that you are comfortable with and that might feel normal, and that is why it feels okay to eat the way you do.  do you take any probiotics or eat any aged or fermented foods?  do you have access to sea foods? do you eat any veggies or raw dairy?  do you have any skin or other issues besides what is going on inside your body, slow healing or wounds etc, or candida issues?  is there perhaps a psychosomatic issue that you are also dealing with? something in your life that causes you anxiety or pain that you dont feel able to change?  have you considered taking dr rons freeze dried glandulars or something similar in absence of fresh?  have you ever had your blood mineral levels taken?

I believe it too.  Neither of these fluids should go to waste.  Sperm definitely contains nutrients, and I am sure each contains endorphines and others chemicals that contribute to what makes relationships so necessary for health and essential for life.  I think we have covered this topic before.

have you tried just raw egg yolks?  what about any seaweed?  would you consider taking a pancreas supplement to help your digestion enough so that you can actually assimilate any of the nutrients you need for healing?   do you ever wonder if these other foods hurt to eat because the foods that you are eating that feel okay (especially fruit, avocado, olive oil and sourdough bread...really, you eat bread still?) are actually just somehow just masking symptoms, and there is a reason you arent satiated by them and arent healing?

why not eat potato and cooked eggs?  certainly it would better than sourdough bread, and i would even recommend  cooked egg and potato over avocado and olive oil as the former is much less processed and might be easier to digest for you.  peel and cook the potatoes, let them cool, add some dandelion greens and some seaweed and gently cook the egg whites, leaving the yolk to drizzle in at the end.

wild carrots have much more antinutrients, hence the taste.  each of those carrots probably offers a different range in certain nutrients, perhaps the white ones have more bioavailable potassium...

i have eaten the "organic" chicken from the grocery raw on many occasion with the only issue being it gets a little weird if its to wet as it gets old and makes my stomach feel a little loose?? but thats only happened a few times and my fault/learning curve for not knowing proper storage.  i wouldnt suggest eating those chickens though, raised on grains and also allowed growth hormones in some cases...

stay away from fruit in general, its horribly degrading to the teeth not only acidity wise at the surface, but what it does to your endocrine system and blood sugar levels, people who give themselves diabetes, with insulin issues who consume sugary diets are well known to have horrible teeth and gum issues.  what is your current diet like?  do you find pleasure in your work or does it exhaust you?  is there any chance you can scale back on working?  do you have a source of raw pastured milk or dairy? you can swish with all the above and also coconut oil and then cap the jagged edge with beeswax so you dont end up cutting the inside of your mouth

awesome photos alberto!  thank you so much for sharing!

sounds like you are at the next level of healing where your environment must now match your personal state of health.  would it hurt to start doing some deep inquiring about the next leg of your journey?  perhaps to calm your mind try some deep breathing meditations and gentle yoga?  you  may find the answers you are searching for there.

Hey Alberto, I dont know if you have ever considered it but i know that certain mushrooms have helped me to recover from physiological splits where I really lost touch with the majority of my emotions, and very much helped me process and explore both positive and negative aspects of the complete extent of my emotional range .  Right now I am experimenting with Lions Mane mushroom which is said to restore and repair the nervous system, but in the past I have done many experiments with low doses of psilocybin mushrooms, which have been an incredibly effective, and safe, way to explore emotional pathways that I had shut down due to extreme emotional trauma.  There are plenty of studies out now that confirm what I had learned in the past through self experimentation and the experiences of friends and family.  I have also written a bit on the forum about those experiences and my feelings regarding taking mushrooms as medicine.  There are also many other avenues to explore to connect the body and brain in a safe and healthy manner, yoga, breathe work, meditation and yes, DREAMs, exploring dreams and creating a healthy body and lifestyle that promotes the awesome healing of a body in tune with its own proper circadian rhythms...!  Its a beautiful journey you are on and  you might be surprised that, after having gone through so much emotionally in the past, that instead of being hindrances, your emotions can now be an ally and a guide and your ability to discern them properly your best strength :)

What do you do for work?  Do you think there is a better job out there that might be more conducive to healing?

I didn't watch the whole episode, but I did watch your segment, Derek.  You seem to have really become much more comfortable in yourself, your demeanor is very calm and humble and physically you look much healthier, more vibrant, and very strong.  I like that the clip was very non sensational and matter of fact and that the gentleman doing the interview seemed respectful.  It's funny that your father notes that your health has improved but still cant believe that diet is (mostly) the cause...

I did see a little clip of a guy wearing a "grok" t shirt, i am guessing he was at one of the "primal diet" gatherings?  I thought it was silly he was wearing a hat and sunglasses out in the sun............dude......

After a few weeks hacking away at these symptoms of ring worms, it seems that I did develop a case of candida from my cheese - wine - chocolate - nuts experiments.

LOL, GS was this really an "experiment"...

I think that is where finding optimal diet turns into the dreaded "orthorexia".  Justifying overeating by how "efficient" you can make your body at burning calories is a horrible thing to do, it takes you to the extremes and if that is your routine you will age and degenerate your body extremely quickly.

the compost i am using has plenty of dead animals in it, my farmer friend and ex landlord/boss preps it and its awesome.  he adds all the guts from his own slaughters and that of the neighbors(all pasture fed, no meds) plus all kinds of things like pine cones, etc, to promote microbial activity that breaks down over the years.  blood and guts are by far the best nutrition for the soil.  i have soaked sheeps heads to make bloody meaty tea for plants and make sure to compost my bloody tampons:)  i am sheet mulching a 20x30 garden bed as we speak, i hope itll be ready in time to plant melons and squashes.   i have all kinds of pots full of different veggies, mostly herbs, alliums, and am eating what grows wild in the yard, mostly different chicories, dead nettles, chickweed and mallow, really good stuff and an easy way to get magnesium (chlorophyll is molecularly identical to hemoglobin, it just has a magnesium as the central atom instead of iron)

i agree with GS, get them to switch over to more natural brands while you search and experiment with making your own.  meyers makes a good laundry detergent that will probably please normal people, there are plenty of less offensive dish soaps on the market, just look for one with the least ingredients.  these are free of artificial scents and most, if not all of the toxic additives and solvents.  google natural homemade soaps and there are thousands of recipes.

ha, looks like two anorexic bobbleheads going at it.  people fight extremely hard to hold onto their fragile and misguided interpretations of reality, especially when its what they have built their livelihood and financial empire around.  i dont understand who would look at either of those women and want bodies like that.  freelee always has that swollen face look from blood sugar issues, and the other one just looks like she needs a real meal and a rest.

I agree with van.  Sounds like you are already having ideas on what might work better for you, like broth fasting.Try it.  See how you feel.  Maybe you just need one day, maybe you need to have broth replace a meal, maybe it helps you find moderation, maybe not.  To with what feels best to you.  18 years of diet and who knows how many years of over exertion is A LOT to heal from, it will take time and it's best if you are practical, moderate and patient.  Be gentle and kind to yourself .

Health / Re: I think my wife has candida.
« on: February 25, 2015, 08:58:03 am »
Add lots of crushed garlic to the diet as well.  It's excellent for cleansing the blood, has plenty of sulphur that kills candida.  Perhaps you can make a dressing with raw egg yolks and garlic, like a traditional Caesar.

I always like garden of life primal defence probiotic and have used it to help with my own imbalances.

Know that coming off sugars and higher carb diets can be very difficult and your wife should honor her energy levels and rest, drink plenty of fluids, especially broths made with soup bones that add collagen, gelatin and fats, veggies and seaweeds.  This should help if she is havin headaches or cravings.

Certain modalities like sauna and deep breathing and my lathing massage are excellent ways to stimulate the bodies largest organ of elimination(the skin) and help her to oxygenate and heal.

Her cravings may also be due to mineral and vitamin imbalances.  Eating a diet with more nutrient dense foods (pastured beef and offal as opposed to store bought chicken, egg yolks as opposed to olive oil) may help curb these imbalances.  Chromium, selenium, zinc...low levels of these minerals are all shown to cause sugar cravings.  She probably needs to make sure she is eating plenty of healthy omega 3 fats, like having fish a few times a week and oysters and shrimp somewhere in the mix, good pastured pork and cheese as well.  Eat those instead of refined oils or seed and nut oils.

Have her try some good organic yogurt, white mountain foods is the best you can get commercially.  It may upset her stomach for the first few times she eats it but it really does a great job of helping to restore digestive normality.  It may also be something she can use topically on her vagina to help with the candida

We're you eating that much because you craved it or just because you wanted to eat enough to substantiate a meal?

I don't think it's necessarily too much to eat.  Was it previously frozen?  That tends to make it a little less palatable and digestable in my experience.

Cherimoya, you are an intelligent guy but do you really think being a cocky douchebag is necessary?  Honestly, it just makes you seem immature, arrogant and egotistical.  It does nothing to further your point.

I just want to thank sabortooth and GS for giving me faith that not everyone is so totally insecure and so easily ruled by fear that they can see clearly that we are being willfully poisoned and exterminated when we agree to vaccinations.  I think this is the case anytime we agree to participate in most any part of the system and our current, global overculutre.  The rest of you are sad, scared and misguided.  The fact you don't understand self governance makes me cringe, you are so easy to give up your power and allow the government to make you sick, either by putting the fear in you mentally or putting the poison in you physically.  Death is a necessary part of life, buck up and realize that, because we have chosen an unsustainable way to live upon the earth, we are going to have to change our ways (which could be positive like limiting travle and wirking on local sustainability, or negative like continuing to live wasteful unhealthy lives and relying on pharmacuticles) and/or people are going to have to die, and it's not a tragedy, it's nature.  Id rather the here culled to bring things back into balance at the hands of nature then the herd poisoned and mutilated at the hands of man.

I'm typing these on an iPhone so give me a break on spelling, etc.
