Instincto / Anopsology / Re: Eating Locally?
« on: January 27, 2014, 10:14:24 am »
The best thing about eating locally is that you can visit the farms to make sure everything is positive. I don't think there is anything wrong with food that has been transported a ways as long as it is refridgerated/frozen. I wouldn't eat anything from out of the country though.

General Discussion / Re: How do YOU choose what meat you eat raw?
« on: January 20, 2014, 05:48:02 am »
It's wrong to eat meat from animals which were raised unnaturally and cramped. I only eat grassfed, and locally raised (so I can personally notice how the farms are).  It not only has to do with my personal health, but the wellbeing of the animal as well.

Modern marijuana smoking does not cure anything.  The medicinal properties are largely ingestion.  Can you think of any other plant which is actually good for us to inhale the smoke of?  If you cough after first inhaling something it is because your lungs want rid of it.  The pain relief aspects of marijuana are a topical fix. As for feeling "relaxed" i really don't need help in that area, as I am relaxing right now in a comfortable easy chair, drug free.

The hops in beer are loaded with estrogen which is why beer drinkers are so fat and have those man breasts.  Alcohol is toxic for the liver and kills brain cells.  Something which makes us feel physically ill is obviously not good for us.
You couldn't pay me to consume alcohol or do drugs of any kind.  I hate drugs even more than religious people.  They make me fearful and have an overall unpleasant feeling in the head.

Raw duck- is it good, is it fatty?  I have found a great local source for this and may purchase it, also plain duck fat too if possible. Ever had plain raw duck fat?

General Discussion / Re: Do cats like raw beef marrow?
« on: September 30, 2012, 06:49:16 am »
Thanks for the information...I may be getting  a kitten soon and want to plan for her diet to be of good quality but of course not too expensive. I already feed my dog all of my meat scraps. I remember when my father had the uncooked fish out on the table preparing to cook it, our cat sebastian would jump up there and try to eat it...so it seems like it would be pretty natural. I think I will get poultry too.

Do any of you have a cat that will eat raw beef marrow and likes it? Do you feed it raw fish?
Thanks,

Off Topic / Re: GAY Military Magazine COMING to US bases!
« on: September 10, 2011, 09:17:17 am »
Well the whole thing is a very puzzling scenario. Of course gay people should be able to serve in the military like straights, but the whole bunking situation is inconceivable to me. Straight males do not want to be in an intimate situation with gay males (showering, changing, sleeping in the same quarters) same goes for straight females to lesbians. But bunking gay men with women and lesbians with men is even worse. I just can't imagine how it can work out appropriately.

Trouble is that by forbidding abortion, you are making those womens' lives an utter misery, thus definitely hurting them.

If you hate abortion so much, read Philip K Dick's short story "The Pre-Persons", which is a fun SF story which is fanatically anti-abortion in its theme.

Yes, but a baby who has already been born can make someone's life misery, all they do is drink milk and cry-they are worthless and completely dependent, why not kill the baby then if the woman decides she doesn't want to take care of it?

Off Topic / Drugs and alcohol

I don't like them. i don't enjoy drinking or smoking marijuana. I can't understand why people think it's cool and fun. when people ask me if i drink or smoke i scoff and say "no why would i"

Marijuana doesn't seem to have any positive health effects when smoked and it just makes a person too relaxed and carefree. i don't want to be relaxed. i want to be on the top of my game at all times, especially at work-always pushing the limit. also when i want to be relaxed, i do just that. Lay down on my bed and relax. I don't need to pay $5 each time to do it and cause lung damage.

And drinking alcohol may be healthfully okay when done in small amounts, but i really don't think it is good for a person. Getting drunk is so gross. Throwing up and being all promiscuous, yuck. I don't care to be ininhibited. I love being inhibited. I like being uptight. It's fun, having a good time with my wits fully intact. And sometimes people ask me "so are you just the designated driver or something?" I just laugh "heck no, I may not be a real social butterfly, but i've got better things to do than drive a bunch of drunk people around all night. i'd rather stay home and watch a 3 hour golden girls marathon than do that"

I like to be at the top of my game at all time. I want to be in my best wits at all times. Relaxing is nice after work, but i want to be able to snap out of in in an instant if i need to.

Well, I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same way as me. It seems like everyone at my work does not agree with me, bunch of hippies:)

I see nothing wrong with abortion. It at least allows the possibility of preventing crack babies from being born and the like.  A genuine libertarian should allow people more freedom of choice, not less.
Freedom of personal choice yes, not choice to hurt someone else though.

I am definitely for Ron Paul even though he isn't precisely a libertarian he is eons better than those other jerks. He is better in one way than many libertarians because he does not believe in abortion.

What are some good ways to heal the intestines faster from the effects of glutens and other grains? The raw paleo diet does heal them for me but i am interested in some other supplemental approaches to help speed it up. I ate some gluten foods while i was on vacation and now i am regretting it :(
