I’ve been trying for over a year to switch to paleo diet with very little success.
No you haven't been really trying.

I read an article that for a few genetically unfortunate people, certain food addictions can have equivalent power and hold as heroin addictions.

Just setting your self up for failure with an attitude like that, filled with weak excuses.

I really don’t think I could maintain the paleo diet long term in 100%, so I wonder

Well then what the hell are you doing here? ;)

Theres just no way ill be able to maintain a strict paleo diet.

Your goddamn right you wont be able to with this attitude. What you want from this forum? Want comfort? Okay.. There there.. it'll be alright. Here, take this magic pill. Now you will be able to eat RPD.

Im eating taco bell everyday, sometimes twice a day.i have a bit of adderal im using to hold off cravings

Taco bell twice a day and brain drugs to hold off cravings? You've come to the most food purist forum on the planet.

No one can do anything for you, except yourself. Come back when you've realized that and as well gained some self respect and the will to change.

Actually I just ate some fairly fatty cooked chicken and feel fine. So must have been something that set me off. Still glad I like raw!

For reason I also always feel horrible when I eat cooked lamb. I'm fine if I eat cooked fish or anything else.

Can you briefly describe what you eat in a day or two, and maybe a little on your recent training?  How are you energy levels throughout the day?  If that is you in the profile pic then yes you are a beast.

Thanks, and yeah.

This is the outline I follow. But seeing as it's like 10 meals a day, I don't have time for that. But I do my best to follow this.

As far as lifting goes.. Can't be arsed to post all of it. I change it so much. Some times I only hit one muscle group per day, other days I do nothing but compounds. I follow what my body feels like he's capable of doing best.

Primal Diet / Re: What to do with Old Raw Milk?
« on: February 11, 2011, 05:58:41 pm »
Add honey and drink it or throw it out

32
I'm gaining well now..

And it's a different kind of gain. Carb gaining is much more water bloated muscle look which you lose very very fast if you don't eat like a beast.

Primal diet gaining (keto) I gain size slowly, but strength really fast. But the strength is there to stay. My muscles feel more condensed and there's definitely more strength per pound.

I'm really liking it this way.

That is true. Most people don't think milk is seasonal. But it is.

It's a spring/summer food. When the calves are newborn and the grass is green.

Iguana has said in the past that he eats raw yams.
I don't, they are much better boiled in spring water.  ;D

Iguana is also quite thin

Raw yams will stunt your protein intake and your metabolism

Is this the consensus of opinion?

What do you think Iguana? Ever done raw yam?

It's not a matter of opinion it's a fact

Doesn't work.

Read about it on wiki.. carb inhibitors, protein uptake inhibitors.. etc

I ask because when blending eggs I heard its does something with the enzymes inside of it.
So better avoid blending but drinking rocky style?

Causes loss of enzymes due to oxidization, so you are right.

General Discussion / Re: Red vs white meat
« on: February 09, 2011, 08:19:59 pm »
I eat fish 75% of the time. It digests fast, so it gives instant energy. Red meat for me tends to be heavier.

I eat red meat when it's in season or when I hunt large game or fowl.

39
Not so much an action shot, but I thought you guys might get a kick out of my birthday cake from a few years back :D.

Note: No meat was harmed during the duration of those candles :D.

Now that's a cake

It's best to eat it whole.

But if it doesn't sit well, don't eat it.

Find it slightly strange he doesn't describe what he was eating.

If he was eating only raw meat raw fat, then I can't say I'm surprised. It can be quite taxing on the digestive system and in the end you just can't fit more in.

Eggs and cream would've been the solution.

Although I agree, I think a small amount of carbs is paramount. If I don't get carbs, my mind just goes down the drain. It becomes very difficult to remember stuff, I become very very aggressive. I get angry about things that I wouldn't otherwise give a second thought.

Just watched episode 3. This is among the best nature series I have ever seen.

A lot of hunting - and a lot of raw meat eating :)

Hot Topics / Re: Raw Milk, when its bad for you?
« on: February 07, 2011, 06:30:58 pm »
Nice try.I'm not buying it.You can't make a blanket statement that raw milk is not a problem for every lactose intolerant person on the planet.Glad it's not a problem for you.I stand by what I said:It's unnecessary. You can get better nutrition from other sources.Raw meat is a far superior food for adults.Talking about cars and modern conveniences is irrelevant.

Bottomline:Milk is for babies, meat is for adults.

Wow-eeeeee. That´s a lot of statements. Only a true fool can make such ridiculous generalizations.

General Discussion / Re: Honey Wars
« on: February 07, 2011, 06:34:39 am »
Yeah same here. Sometimes I feel vitalized by honey, other times it feels like I've just eaten a brick. I think it must have something to do with it's processing - the honey I eat is 'coldprocessed' and supposedly has all it's enzymes intact. But it's very commercial so I don't know..

Yah but as far as I know most raw starch is mostly undigestable. I know Jerusalem Artichokes and yukons are raw edible but they are sweet and don't have as much starch as a potato.

Don't bother with raw starches, I've been down that road.

As far as your calories go, don't bother with counting calories. Eat small frequent meals and just eat at maximum capacity. But don't over eat.

50
That's pretty cool. But starches are pretty essential if you intend to gain size.

But you're strict on no, then google the anabolic diet.
