oo i spied some tart cherries today, not quite ripe yet though.  do you have mullberries where you live sully?
Yeah we do have mulberries here. They come right after cherries. Missouri gooseberries are soon too ripen also. Along with chokecherries. Then black raspberries come here... There's just too much to eat really! Each season a different fruit, and some fruits are ripe at the same time.

Ahh nice, some good ideas. I too have sliced thin to speed up times. Aged, or air dry does bring some flavor to the meat.

I know another cool way I learned from a guy on here a while back. If you don't have a dehydrator and want to make some jerky. You can use a ceiling fan, and hang the meat on a hanger or string right under it.

@paleophil
So just using air? Like a fan? Or just exposed air? mine only goes as low as 95 degrees F.

@ioanna
Ahh nice, I actually like fresh liver more than dried. You should keep trying different livers. I get good grass fed liver form the farmers markets, from tehse guys
http://fer-ligrassfedbeef.com/ut

I rarley get tasty liver in the stores from these guys.

Also try bison liver, etc. Some livers are more atsty than others. Like what I said above.

If its good dried, more power to you though! :)

Oh and thanks, the raw meat salad was delicious! :)

Some people have gotten tape worm from raw beef or other raw red meats...Tyler for example. I am sure he doesn't cook his red meat now.

Glad you liked it though!
I don't think one can really compare grass fed beef to some raw fish from lakes. I think the risk is higher with the certain raw meats to others. Not all though, depends on what the animal eats, living conditions, health of the animal etc. Also handling of the meat must be taken into consideration.

Like in the amazon, your more likely to catch something from raw piranha than some wild deer there. You know?

@Haai Some people have gotten tape worm form raw fresh water fish. But I guess seagulls and other animals eat them raw.

I did cook it and tried it tonight. It was good. Has different nutrients than my usual grass fed beef. Even though it was cooked, didn't bother me much (noticeably). Cooked it at medium heat. I won't eat it often, but it was pleasant though.

Raw Weston Price / Re: Baldness American indians
« on: May 03, 2012, 03:45:38 am »
I been doing prob the same. I haven't noticed any dramatic hairless. But a lot of fruit/carbs makes my hair very oily in days. My skin too. My dad is completely bald on top, so I am def going to notice something prob by I'm 30. But we'll see if diet can stop or heal any hair issues. Also, about no shampoo, when lower carb I don't need to use shampoo. But when I eat too much carbs, my hair gets way too oily, so I need something to clean it if I eat too much carbs. Carbs in the right amounts is good for me, but as far as skin/acne/hair, lots a sweet fruit is my worst nightmare. But of course, its domesticated fruit. Im not saying wild sweet fruit would have the same affect though (seasonal too).

I think avoiding too much carbs would help those who carry the gene of hair loss. I think the gene is triggered by carbs and sugar rich diets. I could be wrong though, Just my guess

He also says you can train anywhere. Not just outside. In your house, at an airport, in a mall. Anywhere you go you can find a way to workout. take the stairs instead of the escalator for ex. One of Bruce Lee's ways of thinking too, take the stairs, ride a bike to work etc. Just find any little way to get a workout in if time permits it (cause many people are on a time crunch), you know. Just have to work with what you got.

Yeah I definitely, love training outdoors more.  It can be more fulfilling. Especially for adventures and use my surroundings to do stuff. Like in my Junts videos. And running up huge hills. I say, if it can be done outside in your area, than all the better!

I made a video where I look fat and old. My grandma used to say to the mirror, "Angie is that really you". I felt connected to her watching my video  -\. Other than that, it's pretty good. I can't figure out how to put things on this site. Would an administrator make sure something isn't wrong with my profile please? Or tell  me how to fix it so I can put photos and videos on the site. I was able to do it before, but not now.
      The video is called

He makes his clients train in outdoors anywhere. Hew only lets them have fish, water and salad. that's pretty close to the paleo diet. But I love the show. He is from Cuba, and is a personal trainer.

If i want to really get leaned out should i eliminate milk, and coconut milk?
Would there be a difference between cow and goat milk for achieving a lean hard body?

I like the leangains approach, he recommends 16hrs fasting a day with 8hour feeding window
workout days is high carb, low fat
rest days is low carb, high fat
both are very high protein at least 1g/1lb bodyweight

A lot has to do with diet. But also with what workouts your doing. For diet, I do good balance. A good amount of meat everyday. Just listen to your body. I avoid milk myself. but one can be pretty ripped with it. depends on how it makes you feel

I don't think we can fairly put Lex Rooker in the same category as Fruitarians. For one thing, Lex has only ever been interested in his health and  has, even then,  never aimed at perfection. Nor does he follow his all-meat diet in a bizarre attempt to avoid harm to any plants.

This should have been put in the Hot Topics forum. Done that now.
I completely agree with what Tyler said here.

Sully - did you like that dried tuna? Oozing oil sounds yummy.  :)

Thanks so much for that link on the pickled herring. I'm going to order me some!
Oh yeah, it was very crispy and easy to chew, amazing! Nice, I am sure you will like the herring! I think it's pretty cool they make the picked herring in the city I live in. I can just get it from the stores :) I don't recommend eating too much. But its a nice treat! I ate it often when I was a kid too

Generally, yes. I really enjoy fatty fish, and I know that it's also good for me.  I like non-fatty fish too, but not as much.

However, you have to remember that people have to learn to enjoy some organs, like brain.  Other organs, like thyroid or adrenals, are easier to learn to enjoy, and you can trust your instincts on them sooner than you can with brain.
Yeah I agree with this. Also my favorite fish is pretty fatty. Raw albacore tuna. I dried it once, it was just oozing OIL! It's very delicious cool, fresh and raw.
