He's drinking plenty of veggie-juice as well, not just 100% raw meats.

Anyway welcome to the forum, you certainly seem to have a lot of initiative re workouts etc.

Thanks Tyler! Im drinking about 1 litre of celery/parsley juice per day as well as 1.5lbs of raw beef, 1 litre of raw dairy and 6-12 eggs (depending on my activity level) I plan to increase my dairy to 2 litres per day in about 6 months.

Hey Tristan I am new here too. I've read AV but not a follower of his. How easy was it for you do go all raw meat? Did you have digestion problems at first?

The raw meat transition was fairly easy. I started by just cooking my steak less and less, then I began to eat about a 1/4 of my steak raw and 3/4 cooked to rare. I gradually increased the amount that I ate raw and the amount that I ate cooked, until I was eating it completely raw! Ive found this to be the best way. Also if you dislike the taste raw, start by slightly seasoning the meat and then using less and less seasoning!

No digestion problems at all from the raw meat, I did however go through a pretty poweful detox about 2 weeks into my raw eating.

Hope this helps.

Even though it's still early, I'm quite happy with the results I've been getting. My strength is increasing and I think my size is aswell. Still to early to tell

I've also cut down my work out time and I make sure I don't overwork my muscles every gym session.

Before I would train every muscle group till total failure. On chest day it'd end so I wasn't even able to do 1 push up. Now I just train for a shorter time but with higher intensity.

Good deal, train smart, not hard.

I disagree OB. We want to put on body fat and as much and as fast as possible. You only see an orangutan with a lean belly when it is starving. Humans belly should be very fat and round. This helps the body produce testostorone.

6paks and slim gym bunnies on the cover of fitness magazines are not sexy or natural! We need to understand that fat humans survive and skinny ones get weak.

The ultimate bulking diet is ZC. No fruit as that will get you skinny, no carbs, nothing low fat. Eat as high fat as possible and setting an alarm clock at night helps one get more calories in as well. Hey, Ive put on 36lbs of pure fat in the last few months and I never exercise. There is no gyms in the jungle!  :D

AV wouldnt be seen dead in a gym!

btw, what makes you think that what I posted to eat is not high fat?

I know where your going with adding fat and being fat being healthy, but this guy wants to bodybuild, Which means you do NOT want to put on too much excess bodyfat when bulking. Im pretty sure AV preaches that one starting the primal diet should be putting on excess bodyfat to aid in detoxifying the body. It is possible to be healthy and lean(not excessively lean). Look at the different Somatypes; ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph. The pure ecto and meso are usually quite lean, even if they do eat an all raw regimen and do not exercise.

As for AV not being caught dead in a gym, that is his decision, and its not a bad one. I do agree that you do not have to workout on this diet and can get quite fit looking, but if you do wish to pursue bodybuilding and follow the AV lifestyle, you will need to lift weights.

Primal Diet / Re: Raw Milk Victory

:)  cool.  So many people who drank milk used to clabber it.  Now few people know the word.  I guess clabbering doesn't work with commercial milk -v :D  When will the so called appointed rulers ever learn to let people live healthy lives, stop vaccinating their animals, stop boosting "growth" with antibiotics etc so we all can do something simple like clabber again.

Isnt it funny how raw milk doesnt spoil and commercial milk does? I think it will be a long time before the rulers allow people to live healthily.

Mix your milk with your yogurt and let it sit 1 - 3 days unrefrigerated.  The sugar will lower, the protein will grow.  It will last longer and taste better.  I'm going to drink some now!

Thanks for the suggestion! I will try it tomorrow when I pick up my milk order!

Sometimes I clabber my milk by putting a tablespoon of raw honey into 2 liters of milk and letting it sit in the oven with the oven light on only for 48 hours. Tastes pretty good!

Thank you.  Yogurt stores pretty easily.  Milk has to be used faster if you want it unfrozen.  Yogurt just gets more sour, which is good.  Cheese freezes well too, and and is more stable than milk even unrefrigerated.  Cream, I guess they're feeding the skim milk to the chickens and pigs.  You know how it is, separated food parts and marketable value or whatever goes up.  I can get more milk than a gallon, but I might have to order it a month ahead.

I drink 4 liters of Plain raw milk per week and 2 liters of yogurt. All of this is consumed within about 1 week. The milk lasts about 11 days before it is pretty sour smelling, still drinkable, but doesnt taste great lol. My yogurt is always gone within 2-3 days just because its so darn tasty! The skim milk just get disposed of from where I get my dairy. Sometimes I get cream and make butter, and just drink back the butter milk after is has seperated from the fat.

I knew the name sounded familiar, I remember reading about the Muscle Smoke and Mirrors book, and the loved hearing about what the old-school guys did, I wish he talked about that more in the interviews.

some of the commercials are a hoot: the legal representation for preempting steroid prosecution. I give the host a lot of props to his integrity, as he's featuring and representing a lifestyle that goes counter to some of his advertisers. I think in the first one Randy had just mentioned something like "as long as its not frozen" and immediately after was an advert for Uswellness.com. although I guess in the second one I'm listening now he just mentioned they they will ship unfrozen, which I've never heard of and will look into.

I thought the more recent one was a bit awkward, but probably answered questions for people that haven't given alot of thought to how to eat raw.

Yes the commercials are terrible lol! KD, if you search through the archives there are more interviews with Randy about the book! Also if you are interested in buying the book I think that it is on Amazon are it can be purchased directly through authorhouse. If you want a good deal on it, I think Randy takes paypal and ships is USPS and marks it as a gift so you dont pay brokerage.

Good find Rawzi! I saw that too when I was looking for the thesis, but didnt actually read it! Now I have! I have to buy a cow share every year. One share entitles me to 1 gallon of milk per week. I can get as much cream, yogurt, and cheese as id like though!

Wow, this was actually pretty good. When I see the word bodybuilder  I expect the worst. Even after endlessly reading the posts here on raw food its still very shocking to physically hear anyone else talking about eating raw foods. I feel so alone and its really nice to finally hear someone else doing it. Makes it seem real.

Good stuff Paleo Donk! I know how you feel sometimes. We raw eaters are few and far between, just know that what your doing is right! Randy and Josh (the interviewees) are extremeley intelligent people. Randy is an exceptionally brilliant man, with a wealth of knowledge in nutrition and bodybuilding. He is actually a published author, his book is called muscle smoke and mirriors and catalogues the history of physical culture and nutrition. Some of the old time bodybuilders practiced eating raw meat and consuming massive amounts of raw dairy!

I drink Michael Schmidts milk! It is a huge victory for the raw milk movement in Canada. The judge wrote a thesis that has been published on how to distribute raw milk legally in an unjust legal system!

Eat 1-2lbs of raw meat per day 1400-2800 Cals)
6-8 Fertile Eggs (6-800 Cals)
and 2 Liters of Raw Dairy per day (1200 Cals)

This should allow adequatet calories for adding lean body mass without adding any body fat, providing that all the products used are consumed in their raw form.

46
Aight, will do.

I am excited to see how this'll go. I am in pretty amazing shape right now but definitely having a hard time gaining weight muscle and weight, so it'll be interesting to see whether low rep high rest will do the trick.

Sounds like your overtraining if your going 13x + per week. If you want to put size on, training each muscle group 1x per week to failure is best, with 5-7 days rest before working it again. a good 3 day split would be

Monday: Chest, shoulders, triceps

Wednesday: Legs, Abs, Lower back

Friday: Back, Biceps

Take weekends off and repeat the following week.

Eat lots of quality raw foods and watch your body change.

47
Wow. 1x a week? You're a pussy!  ;)

Ok sure do heavy weight lifting 1x a week but atleast cardio on the other days. Jeez, I'm training like 13x a week and I'm gonna try to tone it down to see if I get more gains that way but I'm gonna continue doing daily cardio.

If he is trying to gain mass, cardio is the last thing that he wants to go. He should be strictly lifting. He also needs to be in a caloric surplus. If you are eating raw, you should be consuming anywhere from 4000-500 calories per day to refeed your muscles adequately.

Hi,

I just registered too the forum today! I havn't known about it long, maybe about 10 minutes, lol! I've been eating raw, and following Aajonus Vonderplanitz style of eating for about 2 year now.

I eat 100% raw animal products, as well as 1 litre of parsley and celery juice per day.

I've applied this style of eating to bodybuilding for muscle gain and fast loss and have seen tremendous results!

You look like a good group of people and I am excited to get to know you!

Thanks,

Tristan
