You are crazy.

Actually he is not, not trying to get into an argument here, but it was proven by physiologists that the heart gets no benefit after 27 minutes of cardio work. Anything after that increases arterial inflammation. Why do you think so many marathoners drop dead from heart attacks? We'll this was already looked into, and researchers found that they had as much arterial inflammation as your average 50 year old potato chip eating idiot.

Just make sure you do sprints and not much of the endurance running. Take a look at a sprinter vs a marathoner, which would you rather look like? Sprints are way better for muscle and fat loss.

Much of this discussion seems to ring true , but I am often conflicted to how a beginners mind would handle such truths, I was raised believing that such people with sentiments as the quote above are seen by modern society as male pigs, and had suppressed my own beliefs on the subject for most of my life.

My father was a hound dog and mother was a prostitute, but they repressed it to the point were you think they were prudes if you met them in public. I wonder if perhaps there isn't some greater social utility that makes such sexual repressions necessary. Its fun to think about how wonderful complete liberation would be(a brave new world), but until it becomes reality, all our Ideals are just  fantasy, although its fun to entertain such thoughts anyway. Sexual freedom might not be as enjoyable as one could imagine.

Sabertooth, couldnt agree more, and the ultimate philosophical question about a society like that is, would we be happy with having every pleasure we could imagine? everything we want? would the lack of accomplishment through hard work and struggle actually depress us, and make us feel less complete? Would we get into a paradigm where we could never feel complete and always want more more more? Could we ever feel any personal pride or success?

One final note is, for some (including me) sex without compassion often leaves some feeling empty and lonely. The desire to have a single compassionate and caring partner, while also having a strong sexual component with that partner is of utmost importance to some people. The joy of having a lifelong partner who you know will always be there for you is a great thing. For people who would rather be monogomous, this society would not work.

Hey, I am a sophmore in college and for the past year I have been eating raw foods most of the time. This is what I do: I have a fridge in my dorm room and just buy beef and store it in my fridge. I take out a couple of pounds of beef and fat at a time then leave it on my desk in my room to let it get to room temperature. My room mate is grossed out but I just say f**k off. THen I eat my food. THats it. I just waste my meal plan money. I know it sucks, but until we get apartments, we are SOL in terms of money. Id say spend your money on your raw meat, it is worth it. Get a job, that is what I did. Jobs also open up a lot of doors for you in the future.

Haha thank you man, I love the chins. I'm impressed by your pushup and pullup numbers.

Once in a while I still love to have a seared fatty steak cooked by my mom. I just love the way the fat tastes all juicy and rich in flavor. Dont really indulge in sweets at all and dont crave sweet things.

My GF is on a cooked diet, yet we both love the way our armpits smell when not using de odorant. We both think it smells like sex and it gets us really horny. Therefore, we never wear deodorant when it is just the two of us.

Aren't testosterone binding sites important also? if your not actually using the testosterone then it's useless.

I was talking to a powerlifter yesterday who takes testosterone. He got addicted to it in his 20's and said he felt really good. It doesn't work so well now he is in his dirties but he is still massive.

Yes, there is this nasty little sugar called sex hormone binding globulin, which binds to testosterone and renders it inactive. There are ways to inhibit this SHBG though. Nettle root (urticia diocia) is one of them. Yes free T is all that matters.

General Discussion / Arctic animal livers will kill you
« on: February 25, 2011, 06:13:29 am »
http://animals.howstuffworks.com/mammals/eat-polar-bear-liver.htm/printable

Arctic animals generally have much much higher levels of vitamin A in their livers than other animals. According to the article, Polar bears have over triple the vitamin A in their livers than humans do. People who ate the whole livers of seals and polar bears have died in the past. The deaths were caused by acute hypervitaminosis A, or an extreme excess of vitamin A. This proves that eating too much of a good thing can be bad. Truthfully, we rarely seem to need to eat liver, or other organs for that matter. In all of my reading, it seems to me that tribes and indigenous populations generally shared the organs and did not divide them. This way, no toxicity would result. Be careful with the organs you guys eat. Make sure you only eat organs in small quantities. Otherwise, toxicity can arise.

Great Pioneer! Waiting for your pics and blood work. It is rather important to get analysis confirmation of what you see and feel. Bcs very often the sense of well-being is just temporary exiting of new way of nourishing but if one gets blood work with improvements it is serious confirmation of right direction. All the best and keep us informed.

Absolutely true, but then again sometimes we also have to realize that a blood analysis is just a piece of paper. There are many people out there with perfect blood panels and still feel like crap. I hope this is not just temporary either.

Just updating everyone. I have already had very positive results doing this pet food only journey. My skin has never felt this soft since I was a toddler. I am constantly touching my face now and feeling how smooth it is. Seems that I have lowered my facial inflammation as when I used to touch my face, there were areas that were painful and many times broken out with acne. My minor acne is beginning to fade completely and my skin gets better every day.

I feel better in general and can sleep a lot more soundly. My workouts lately are nuts. I am pushing out more and more personal records than ever. I am getting leaner and leaner, while eating 3000+ calories a day. I just hope that I will not start losing weight, but the scale doesnt lie and every morning I am the same weight so currently this is not the case.

Sorry I was unable to post photos yet, I have not obtained my camera from home. My GF also forgot to bring hers to college the other day. I will also be posting blood tests with my body pictures by the end of the weekend. Any ideas on why my skin is clearing and getting soft so rapidly on carnivorous ZC? I also have one large BM a day and it is very pleasant/ odorless, this is good. I am going in the right direction. I can now tell that I was not properly healing on AV's primal diet with the raw dairy. To think that he tells all those people that no one has raw dairy problems baffles me.

Today: weighted chin ups 3x7 with 65lbs finally... I got it ;D
Overhead press 3x6 with 120lbs finally...... I got it  ;D
          Deadlift           3x6 with 245lbs

IDK what has gotten into me today. I accomplished my weights and got new PR's in both exercises. I started Raw zero carb carnivorous a week ago and it has seemed to give me nothing but energy. No fatigue yet, I will cross my fingers.

Nice job on all of the pushups guys. I have not trained my body for that kind of volume or endurance. Impressive.

Fresh organs definitely taste Divine. This is the only reason, I'm little afraid of Slanker. But in rare case, I'll consider to have this Slanker. Lex Rocker story is very inspiring and if he gets the positive result, than I'll get the benefit too. It's affordable, available and much better than anything else...

Hey raw, you should check out my new journal in raw zero carb. I am doing a pet food only journal. I will be posting my results every week or so. It's called Pioneer's pet food journal. I happen to like the pet food. It is very strong but you will get used to it. To me it really is not that bad.

Basically, I say the next time someone tells anyone here about the importance of fiber your response needs to be "it's called peristalsis idiot, basic anatomy and physiology." that is what we have muscles in our intestines for.

i think slankers pet food is 90/10, that's not anymore fatty that regular ground beef.

i have been eating pet food from a farmer i buy from here.  it's extremely lean though.. just a blend of lean meat and organs, no extra fat.  i can't even see any fat, though there must be some.

i really like the pet food i eat.  i'm kind of still a wimp to eat organ foods any other way, so until i just start buying some organs and eating them, i keep incorporating pet food.

Lex regularly measures the pet food and it is consistently 16-17% fat by weight.

Haha me and my BIO professor share the view that fiber for humans is absolute nonsense. It's funny because this guy is so arrogant yet so right about most of his views. I sit in his classroom full of nutrition majors and he tells us all that fiber for humans is absolutely ridiculous and that its like the USDA is trying to turn us into horses eating cellulose and such which we cant even digest. All the nutrition students look at him like he is crazy. At the end of the lecture I walk right up and shake the guy's hand.

what is a dip belt? sounds a bit like an insult. hehe

What I use is a standard leather weight belt with a chain and hook. My waist is too small and it tends to sort of sag off my body dangerously close to my junk. Is this the same thing?

Based on the position of my back in dips its not as big of a problem probably throwing another plate on. I thought the backpack might be good for pull-ups, but I've never seen anyone do it so you might be right.

I had tried holding dumbells on my feet and the heavy weights just hurt like hell..its also hard with dips because my legs are long.

Yes this is the one I am talking about and you have to be careful with that thing. Make sure you use it correctly. I once cut my penis because the chain pinched it so hard. Learned from my mistake and now I wrap the chain around the dumbell so that it is nowhere near my junk. I'll never give the belt up though, I use it for everything. Too big for my waist too though.
