Need advise: what kind fishes are good for eating raw?

Besides tuna and salmon, what are other fish species are good for eat raw? fresh or frozen?

Salmon is to be avoided unless it is wildcaught salmon. I think tuna is on the verge of being farmed but not yet?

Wild varieties include raw sardines/kingfish/swordfish/blue marlin/mackerel/sprats etc. etc.

Dutchies love their maatjes ! (pronounced "mAt-yis") It's raw herring that has been soaked in a salty/ vinery marinade. I get some every time I visit the other half of the family that lives in Holland.

I personally only do wild caught, you always want fresh sometimes I'll go with previously frozen but I hardly will unless no other choice

tiny whole fish you get heads, innards, scales, bones.
squid, shrimp, crab, clams, oysters, octopus, sea urchin
blue marlin, malasugi, mackarel, hasa hasa, flying fish, dilis, tanguige,
fish eggs

try to look for the wai diet forum, they have a list of sea food.

Yes of course, some are so tiny, it is not possible for you to pick them apart.

Search for "dulong"



I would add raw egg yolks to the dulong for the fat because dulong is too lean.

I avoid shrimp , prawns and the like as I cannot be sure whether it is wildcaught or farmed.
