When raw paleo was a billionnaire-only diet !
« on: July 15, 2016, 08:12:57 pm »

Extracted from the french press,  back in the early days of the XXth century, prior to the discovery of vitamins !

"Several billionnaires of which John D Rockefeller have adopted a dietary regime which appears to them more hygienical than anything else : they don't eat anything cooked , no bread, no pastries , ni cakes, only raw foods : meat, vegetable, eggs etc.... This new adepts on the RAW have made up a society (??? ) whose members  increase day after day. Their menu is made up of oysters  ( my remarks :  imagine the price of oysters at that time for those who lived far from the coast ) , shellfish, honey, dried beef, salads, cheese, milk, oranges, bananas, apples and nuts, plums  and peaches, macerated wheat, unboiled  barley (??) , raw onions, radishes....They pretend that cooking destroys the nutritive principle of food , by suppressing their cellular life. They add , with the  naïve conviction of the yankee ( typical french condescension !!!  ),  that disease is nothing but the consequence of  a breach in the laws of nature.....blablabla"

John Davison Rockefeller (the founder of the dynasty) died at the respectable age of 98 in 1937 ....

Is this the reason why JD Rockefeller spent so much of his fortune in medical research ? Surely he could afford to get the best advice in the world !

I just find it amazing that at about the same time, JD Rockefeller was creating the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research (soon to become R. University )

As usual, you post imaginary fanciful prose with neither any link nor reference, Mr.Bookworm — formerly Mr. Ungullible.

Quote
https://www.nytimes.com/books/98/05/17/specials/rockefeller-habits.html
Diet Was 75 Per Cent Vegetables
The physicians would not make available the details of Mr. Rockefeller's diet. It was known, however, to have consisted during the last few years of at least 75 per cent vegetables. He received green vegetables from all over the world and many were grown in his own gardens at Lakewood, Ormond Beach and Tarrytown. The variety was maintained to avoid tiring his palate.
Last October, when Mr. Rockefeller left Lakewood for Florida, his equipment for the journey consisted, in part, of three baskets of lettuce and other fresh greens.
The lamb that was made into broths and soups for him was grown on his own places. He also produced, on his estates, the fresh milk he drank, in order to be assured of its purity and quality.
He drank also a great deal of a special cultured milk.

His eating habits included anything he wished for but always in very small portions. He might have a few drops of coffee, a forkful of eggs, a tiny piece from a lamp chop, a spoonful of cereal; all of which was eaten very slowly. Some said that he even chewed the liquids he took.

Thanks for your interest and additional references.  It seems your articles and mine refer to different periods in the lifetime of the Rockefeller family.

It remains to be seen whether he or other members of his family ever tried to stick to this diet for any reasonable amount of time. That John Davison   did not adhere  to the diet for the rest of his life looks obvious from your press articles. But that certainly does not mean he did not espouse the principles of a "raw paleo diet" (even though the expression did not exist)  at some point in his life.

To be sure, I'm not interested in the content of anybody's plate. Only interested in the history of the raw paleo diet.

Since Rockefeller obviously was not a health guru (but certainly looks like he was a real  health buff)  the  BIG question remains :

"Who  did he get his information from ?"

The same question applies to the swiss guru ....

Ah, ha! Here we go again!  ;D LOL!
Which uttermost essential and top secret info, by the way? To "swallow two or three spoonful of olive oil each week to lubricate the joints"(see above screenshot)? ROFL ;D

Try to become an historian instead of focusing on your humdrum input.

Here is an easy  clue for your simple mind.

1) what is the  industrial town west of the Alleghenies, which remains closely associated with the history of JD Rockefeller's  fortune

2 ) what is the  industrial town west of the Alleghenies,  where Clara Davis started her experiments on babies instinct for food ?

Same town !

Which  deduction can you draw  ?

Like Andrew Carnegie, Bill Gates and many others both before and after him, he was a genius businessman, who, frustrated by the socialism of the masses who continously made his life a living hell, decided it was his goal in life to destroy their health and freedom in the name of helping them. It's the megarich's revenge on the envious masses who continuously steal their stuff and despise them because they are too lazy or incompetent to make a good living for themselves, and would rather steal from those who have earned their wealth honestly.

In all likelihood, the reason he was only seen having miniscule amounts of food is because he knew those foods (like coffee, cooked meats, etc) to be harmful for health. But he didn't want the masses to realize this. So only him and his chosen few would share the secret.
We now live in a world where medicine destroys health, law destroys justice, education destroys knowledge, government destroys order, the press destroys information, religion destroys morals, and banking destroys the economy

A possible deduction could be this one  :

QUOTE

In America, homeopathy introduced elements of conservatism (my little note   : and of  christian tradition !)  to dominant medical theories, but at the same time engendered bitter sectarian conflict within the ranks of medicine. Indeed, the American Medical Association itself originated from anti-homeopathic sentiments (amongst mainstream physicians ) .

Homeopathic physicians started to trickle into Ohio in the early 1840s, practicing in smaller cities because of their poor reception among “regular” (allopathic) physicians in larger cities. By the 1890s,  twenty percent of physicians in Cleveland called themselves homeopaths.

Among the more well-known local homeopaths were Seth R. Beckwith, with a large Cleveland practice as physician and surgeon to railroads; Benjamin L. Hill, one of the founders of the Western Homeopathic College of Cleveland; and Hamilton Fisk Biggar, nationally known medical advisor and intimate friend of John D. Rockefeller. B. H. Bartlett opened the first homeopathic pharmacy in Cleveland in 1846, at the corner of Superior Ave. and Public Square.

Homeopathy depended upon teaching institutions and hospitals for its survival. In 1850 the Western Homeopathic College of Cleveland, the second such institution in the country, came into being, and in 1856, Seth Beckwith opened the Cleveland Homeopathic Hospital, the first privately owned hospital in Cleveland. These two institutions soon affiliated, and college faculty practiced and taught at the hospital.

Further consolidation of homeopathic resources occurred after 1869, as the rivalry with allopathic physicians grew worse. Within a decade, Cleveland homeopaths built the Huron Road Hospital as a place of their own. It survives today, but without homeopathic affiliation, as Meridia Huron Hospital in East Cleveland. Homeopathic education in Cleveland ended with the closing in 1922 of the Cleveland Pulte College of Homeopathy (by then affiliated with Ohio State University). This soon spelled the end of homeopathy in Ohio

UNQUOTE

The  author probably means "the end of the official status of homeopathy in Ohio medical schools" since Ohio is still a stronghold for the  liberal practive of homeopathy, as it was already  in the XIXth c  due to the absence of big cities and big universities in the state of Ohio.

It might have spelled the end of homeopathy in Ohio, but thankfully, it did not spell the end of the instinctive tradition of human nutrition in the US.  A tradition  which was in no way contradictory to the principles of  homeopathic medicine , as  both tradition  belonged to the hippocratic current within  western medicine .

But in any case , I tend to agree with the second paragraph of your post.

I suspect there have been various possessors of higher level occult knowledge, spanning the human ages and all spectrums of wealth... from rich or poor, from famous to obscure. People such as Rockefeller simply were better noticed by history, than the hillbillies who lived in the mountain hollers who also ate similar diets and were extremely long lived. The wealthy and intelligence elite, no doubt focused some of their life efforts in the attainment of optimal health, with some degree of success.... but so did many others of more poor and obscure origins.

Unfortunately for the vast majority, these people who best embodied these noble qualities and possessed this higher knowledge, those who had the rank in society to have the most influence, were often very self centered and did not feel compelled to pay it forward, instead hoarding and passing it on through various family run organisations ....The foundations built with the Money of Rockefeller and his ilk where inherited by entities which where entirely ignorant of the more esoteric wisdom in how these barons lived personally. In the case of the Rockefeller medical industrial complex this has lead to the creation of a monstrosity beyond anyone to control. So much knowledge that has been lost as a result of this monopolization of Medical Science, so complete was the domination of the industrial medical model, that many of the richest among us have lost touch, many have gone mad and are continuing using their wealth to perpetuate the dominance of ignorance and sickness which pervades our world.

There have been and still are occurrences where people figure things out, and are able to implement methods of against the grain living regardless.

I would like to ask why is it so hard to live in this world?  Seems kind of sick that you have to fight so hard just to live...Blah, blah, blah.

Why  homeopathy and raw - instinctive  nutrition share  some  pieces of history  :

- both are revolutionary and subversive
- they are based on the invisible world and are compatible with religion and spirituality
-they are radical
-they are egalitarian
-they are empowering
-they make friends with (some ) diseases and releases us from the idea that (some) symptoms are enemies.

They are both pacifist medicine........although there have been some high flying criminals amongst their supporters on both sides....

As for JD Rockefeller's education.

My old teacher Barefoot Herbalist MH, shared that JD Rockefeller used to suffer terrible stomach aches and set out a 1 million USD reward to anyone who could cure him.  He was cured by Dr William Hey, a prominent doctor of his time.  The simple cure was 10 day dilluted orange juice fast. Rockefeller was educated on real health.  But his monopolistic greed instead led to joining forces with Carnegy to buy up all the medical schools and eject the not profitable disciplines.  They also set up the drug companies.  And they set up the accreditation system accrediting only their profitable disciplines.

JD Rockefeller of course used real health knowledge for himself and at the last year of his life hired 3 wet nurses to provide him with human breast milk for his nutrition.

This is why there is a treasure of healing knowledge in old medical books prior to the 1930s.

The truth is coming out of hiding. Oh my friends, witness the dawning of the end of shitty food sold to people with shitty health, who laugh at those who scorn such food.

I'm not sure whether the first paragraph of your post should be read first degree or second degree.

I don't know what you mean.

Regarding homeopathy, it's simply another form of medicine that isn't as harmful as regular medicine, since the drugs are made up entirely of fillers with no "active" drugs. But there is no benefit to it. It's only when you compare it to allopathic medicine that homeopathy has benefits. Because by avoiding allopathic medicine you gain a lot in health. If you then add homeopathy you will lose some in health, just not as much as with allopathic medicine. Let's not kid ourselves, there is nothing natural about homeopathy, it uses the same concepts as allopathic medicine, that is, poison the body, just do it mildly. So mildly in fact, that there is no effect from the sought-after substance. The fillers, however, are still completely unnatural and somewhat harmful over the long term.

Rockefeller was educated on real health.  But his monopolistic greed instead led to joining forces with Carnegy to buy up all the medical schools and eject the not profitable disciplines.  They also set up the drug companies.  And they set up the accreditation system accrediting only their profitable disciplines.

It's not monopolistic greed. It's in fact the complete opposite. They were attacked and the charge of "monopolistic greed" was used to steal their property and break up their businesses. Because of this, they grew resentful of the masses and devised an elaborate plan to make them sicker and sicker, and poorer and poorer, while having them pay for it, cheer for it and demand it, for generations to come.
We now live in a world where medicine destroys health, law destroys justice, education destroys knowledge, government destroys order, the press destroys information, religion destroys morals, and banking destroys the economy

Dario, good luck with that opinion. You must think pretty poorly of us, and yourself, because there are no billionaires here, or in the movement at all. A few multi-millionaires, if you count the few celebrities that have at least tried eating this way, but no billionaires at all. And there probably never will be. Why? Because there's just not enough time and energy left after creating and managing a billionaire's fortune to learn about nutrition enough to start eating this way. I spent 5 years researching nutrition before I started eating like this. And I had only part-time jobs during that time, and few responsibilities, etc.. I mean, if the diet keeps growing like it has, a few billionaires might get swept up in it because of their wives/friends/family, but they will be some of the last people on board. Not that it matters.

Hmm, Aajonus had great success living and working  in Malibu, a place well-known for its wealthy residents. There is Malibu's Carbon Beach, apparently, known as "Billionaire's Beach". Then there is Santa  Barbara, not all that far away, another favourite with rich people. Somehow I seriously doubt that any  rich person would want to boast on RPF about how rich they were. Like with many previous,  truly moronic, UK lottery winners who went public about their winnings, their lives would be ruined and they would be forever pestered with begging-letters etc. The junk mail one seems to get  if one  earns somewhat more than the average is bad enough as it is.

We might have a low-millions millionaire or two. Let's be clear about the difference between a low- millions millionaire and billionaires. Those are two totally different groups. It takes a strong, strong personality to make billions. Those people are world-changers. Low-millions millionaires are often just hard workers with some good luck. They don't have a big vision for the world's future.

After checking my information in the US, it  seems that the french journalist either misinterpreted what he read in the american press, or deliberately tried to impress its audience by associating this sectarian group of raw eaters with the Rockefeller family.

I can confirm however the existence of an active group of non vegetarian raw eaters in the States at the turn of the century  before the word "vitamin" was coined by scientists.

Anyway he has never provided any link or references: he even persistently refused to do so in the 15 or 20 years since he's been writing incoherent posts on various French instincto and raw foodism forums! By the way, he's also been posting here for a longtime under his previous pseudo of "Ungullible".

I had to ban him from our sister French forum "Paleocru".
