South Korea sounds like the only civilised nation where one could happily gorge on a raw wild hare carcass etc. in public without incurring public disapproval...

You need to edit your title to octopus not squid.

As I understand it, the festival focuses on squid mostly which is why it is titled that. But I will change the last part.

South atlantic squid tentacles and head are very tasty, however the rest of the body (which people generally value the most) is not very enjoyable for me. Also it's really hard to find fresh squid where I live, almost all is frozen. Octopus I've only had once, from Spain (frozen), and it was really chewy. Never had any of them live. I hear you gotta make sure to chew them really well because the tentacles can attach to your throat and smother you.
We now live in a world where medicine destroys health, law destroys justice, education destroys knowledge, government destroys order, the press destroys information, religion destroys morals, and banking destroys the economy

i once ate a rabbit carcass in public. Ended up drawing a crowd of 1 or 2 hundred people gawking at me. It was pretty funny.
