« on: September 27, 2017, 10:45:41 pm »
Hi,

It seems everything i eat except raw eggs make me worse, i can understand that raw dairy can be bad but what about raw beef - do you think it is possible that someone cant digest raw beef - raw beef should need no digestion or this is wrong assumption or maybe i use bad sour e of beef?

Thanks,

We can't draw a conclusion here. What are your symptoms when eating raw beef?

When I first started going rawpalaeo, I was forced to try eating raw grainfed meat from butchers who sold solely grainfed meat from intensive farms. They tasted so foul that I almost gave up the RPD diet. Fortunately, I found sources of raw wildcaught seafood and then, eventually raw 100% grassfed meat etc., so that I was able to stand it.

If I had been in a similiar position, that is, I couldn't digest raw, fresh meats properly due to nearly-permanently-wrecked stomach etc., then I would have gone in for high-meat(ie aged raw meat), as the bacteria predigest the meat before you even eat the stuff.

I hope you haven't been doing raw, zero-carb, by the way. That might be an alternate explanation for your above issues....

This is exactly what I was doing. I had problems with all carbs - even 1 apple was giving me depression and skin problems, the same with potatoes, starches and white sugar - so I decided that carbs are the problem. What is the problem with zero carb? I thought this is the main idea of raw paleo?
BTW - why everybody here talks about Beef and not veal - I mean I think there is a big difference between beef and veal - veal should be more easy to digest.

Extremely oily skin and tiredness but the meat was definitely grain fed and very low quality. Also I think the fat was the problem - because I bought it grounded in advance. The taste was pretty bad. I once eat raw beef in expensive restaurant and it was completely different in taste but it was marinated with something like vinegar.

Many of us experience problems with raw, zero-carb. Most of us RPDers, I would say, are raw low-carb, eating 80-90% raw animal foods and c.10-20% raw plant foods. In my own case, I seem to do fine for the first 3 weeks on raw, zero-carb, and then swifty start deteriorating, healthwise, with suddenly-loosened teeth etc. etc.

You might, of course, just be experiencing detox, after years of eating toxin-laden cooked foods. A genuine detox is one where you feel very slightly better after the experience than before.
