From that link "Most scientists generally believe that animals are incapable of committing suicide." Shows how innocent "scientists" can be. I've seen too many deer jump in front of my motorcycle, even when moving at legal (sane) speed. And there are the numerous gophers in the great plains of America who wait until just the right moment to run under the wheels of cars.
Flat gophers, flat cats, flat dogs, what are those "scientists" thinking?

The lemming story is not a myth, it's just a lie. Where lemmings live in Canada, there are plenty of predators willing to eat them, so they don't need cars or jumping off cliffs into water to commit suicide. Just sit too long outside the burrow, and a jaeger (bird) or fox, bear, weasel will have it.

The cows miss their predators, so get bored to death. That's my rede.
