welp, this is what the inside of a cow tongue looks like, I don't know why I have never had the courage to try tongue before but its really delicious.  besides the skin on the outside that is super chewy, the inside is extremely tender and obviously marbled with fat.  its delicious, there is more marbling towards the back of the tongue, they are like 12 inches or longer and the tip seems like it will not be as tender.  they are pretty inexpensive too :)  I just cut medallions and munched down

Beef heart, liver and suet, I cannot get enough of beef heart, who would ever consider muscle meat when one can get much tastier and higher quality from heart? plus it sell cheaper. I wonder if totally avoiding muscle meat and substitute it for beef heart would be a much better thing in the long run, I don't see any benefits muscle meat could have over beef heart either way.

Just scored a bunch of freshly cut (literally moments before I got there) wild-caught, steelhead salmon. That fat, though! I actually ate some during the ride back home - I couldn't wait.

It was! We just held it and ripped everything from the skin with our teeth. The pure fat parts were creamier than butter. I'm so glad I went back in and got two more pieces! >:3

Strawberries and pink grapefruit with fresh made cheese (strained curds from raw milk), raw honey and whey for breakfast this morning...after drinking a glass of fresh urine (yup, urine; read John Alexander's book, THE WATER OF LIFE and Martha Christy's YOUR OWN PERFECT MEDICINE).

Deep orange coloured pumpkin - very tasty and must contain lots of resistant starch and other good stuff.

Today I was all about the grass fed/finished beef.

I had a bunch of barley grass juice, homemade red reishi elixirs, a local organic mango, a whole pineapple, a huge perfectly ripe cali avocado with 8 oz chopped strauss grass fed beef, 1 grape, 1 raspberry, 1 white dragon fruit, a whole pound of grass fed local ground beef with raw sauerkraut juice and dulse seaweed, 1 kiwi, 1 tsp raw schizandra berry powder as a shot (for my liver).

I know this was a lot of calories and a LOT of meat. I sometimes go days without eating animal foods and then crave a ton. today was only my third time having raw red meat and I could not get enough. I haven't been in the mood for seafood (which is SO WEIRD for me) and the beef feels like it fuels my brain omg. Been craving that avocado too.

I am eating raw beef short ribs.  I figured out that good grass fed beef fat tens to appear more yellow as it reaches room temp and above, when I buy it it looks pretty crey color but if I take it home and let it set out for a few days or cook it in the sun and let it get warm the fat becomes more yellowe

The maca powder at home is part of a box of super foods my wife and her sister bought.  No one is eating it, I might as well experiment with it.  Mixes well with avocados.

Dr. William Wong promotes maca.

What does your research with maca tell you?

the last bit though said maca was normally cooked, not consumed raw.

i had better investigate that.

I agree that, from the article, it seems to have much benefit.  I have noticed am increase in libido from consuming maca in the raw state in the past but the fact that it is kind of replusive tasting to me in raw powdered form keeps me from consuming it.  I am also weary of "adaptogens" from plant sources and perhaps that people may use maca without firstly addressing other dietary and lifestyle issues that contribute to low testosterone.

The raw maca powder we have tastes great to me.
My sister in law does not like the taste of this maca.
So it seems the taste varies with the individual.

Today I had maca powder with avocado in the morning.

Later before noon I had 2 chicken eggs.

In the evening I had lots of durian.

And after that I had lots of oysters.

Get it? Maca, Chicken eggs, Durian, Oysters? All in one day? Ho ho ho... maximum testosterone overload.
Just trying it out.

--Barley grass juice
--Raw red reishi powder + organic cinnamon elixir + raw green coffee powder + raw vanilla + raw green stevia powder (homemade)
--Raw Shizandra berry powder taken as a shot
--Grass fed ground Lamb with raw sauerkraut + lemon and cilantro
---4 small apples

This was like a little over 3000 calories. Def eating too much lately!

I have been MASSIVELY overdoing it on food this week. My budget and mypoor stomach are feeling it. But on some level my brain wanted so much food. Does anyone else have this happen?

Today was....

--Mamey sapote (way way too much but it was so so so perfectly ripe and tasted mapley and so freaking amazing...but I had like 1900 calories worth of them  :o because I am so dumb)

--about 15 figs (kadota, black mission, and brown turkey)

--- Celery cucumber parsley lemon cilantro juice

---1 kiwi

---24 ounces of fresh young coconut water

---2 tbsp raw coconut butter

--- 290 grams of grass fed beef steak (SO TOUGH, how do you all eat these? Ground is so much more enjoyable)

---1 very large haas avocado with some himalayan sea salt

---1 cucumber


grand total of over 4300 calories and I'm a 5'5" 115 lb woman. I was 109 lbs until this week  l) :o

Firefly you are under weight so it is perfectly understandable for your body to be hungry and it is great you are eating high quality foods.  Sometimes verying what types of proteins and fats (ie adding fish and crustations, animal fat, lamb vs beef vs pork, offal) helps to curb appetite.

Just make sure you are over compensating for lack of sleep, relaxation, etcetcetc.

As for making meat more digestible, was your meat aged at all? If you have a space that is dryish and coolish I would suggest letting your meat sit out, uncovered and propped or hung on something so that it can get air to all sides.  Mostly your meat should dry a bit on the outside while the inside become more tender.  You let the natural enzymes do the work, it takes a few days but is well worth it. You can also cut it into smaller chunks and let those age for quicker results. If its a nice sunny hot day you can let the sun tenderize your food by laying it out for a few hours.
