chronic problems, need help/advice...
« on: November 30, 2010, 05:14:09 am »
I'm 24 year old male having problems since I was 14 or younger. It started out with stomach problems, then trouble breathing, then just kept getting worse and worse and more and more things...
For the past 7+ years or so I've been chronically fatigued, extremely underweight and unable to gain weight, muscle weakness, back problems, vision, sleep, circulation, breathing, overall brain function, etc. I've been seeing conventional doctors for years and none of them know what's wrong. I've even been seeing specialists at the Mayo Clinic and they don't seem to know what's wrong either...

The only clue I have is a couple years ago I only ate plain rice and meat for a day or so and I started feeling a ton better... so I've been experimenting with adding/eliminating foods from my diet ever since, but I haven't been able to figure out anything specific or get feeling good consistently... even with eating raw, grassfed organs and fat and raw organic free-range eggs for the past 3 months or so the only thing it's really improved is sometimes I have no stomach issues and sometimes I sleep much better then usual. But even that is still random...
When I eat something "bad" it feels like my whole body is shutting down... brown rice is no good, white rice is fine. Regular grapes give me energy and strength but the large thick black ones do the opposite... apples are no good, but when I sliced and dried them they seemed fine. For a while sweet potatoes were giving strength and energy, and raw eggs were not; then I put some heart to get "high" at room temp and it switched, and sweet potatoes made me fatigued and weak and the eggs did not...(I have been eating high meat done in the fridge for over 2months without any changes) even probiotics effect me like this... they give me bad gas and make me fatigued and weak. Cultured yogurt however, seems to regulate bowel movements like probiotics are supposed to, and I don't get any negative effects from yogurt.
I tried only raw meat, fat, eggs for a month and was feeling terrible.

I saw an alternative medicine doctor recently and after he did some basic blood tests and a stool test he said the only thing that he can do is treat me for lyme disease(which the test came back INDETERMINATE). But it's mainly treated with long term antibiotics which I'm very weary of and which also goes against everything I've been reading about raw food and all of Aajonus's bacteria theories.
I went to http://www.chroniclymedisease.com/ and they mention all these different treatments, but I can't find where I can visit or contact any of the doctors who do them...
Not to mention I'm getting no help from my parents or anyone else and all I have is $670 a month from disability($500 goes to rent+utilities). So I don't know how I could even afford all these alternative therapies that medicare wouldn't cover...

I learned about a healer in NY who diagnoses people by just looking at them, but I called them and they said they're extremely booked so I don't know if I'll even be able to see him...

oy man, you're in a bad way but as long as you are willing you can heal.
sadly, most useful medical treatments from a biological functional medicine doctor are costly on your current income.
mainly i would say, make sure you are not ingesting any toxins: tap water, grains, fruit, soy, corn, dairy, sugar, grain-fed meat, farmed fish, etc.

ferment or steam your veggies, keep on the raw or fermented grass finished meat/fish with plenty of the raw fat, organ meats, etc.
do what you can to make some money and get the blood tests done by a bio-func doc who knows paleo or wapf nutrition.

maybe yogurt is good for you, but i kinda doubt it. if you really want better bowel movements try natural calm powdered magnesium, or eat more raw fat and or refined coconut oil.
but, if yogurt is the only thing that gives you relief right now, go for it until it stops working.

hidden chronic food allergies can really mess you up long term

if you do have medicare, many func med docs are covered. its not about "woo-woo alternative therapies". sometimes its also called preventative medicine, guys like mark hyman, etc.

Sounds like Jordan Rubin of The Maker's Diet fame.
He did it with probiotics with HSO (some kind of special soil), now sells it as Primal Defense.

Lyme disease can easily by killed by Beam Ray machines.

recovery may take much longer, up to a year.  i started gaining weight after about 9 months.  positive attitude is a must, also get rid of any stresses if you have any. and give it some time.

i tried HSO, it did not do anything for me.

Have you been tested to celiac disease?
Celiac is an autoimune reaction to gluten in which your own defenses destroy the lining of the upper intestine, causing among other issues mineral and vitamin malabsorption. It is very difficult to diagnose unless a biopsy is performed, but some of your symptoms seem to fit.

I had similar issues, and could never pinpoint a particular dietary trigger , I had suffered with chronic fatigue and dietary intolerance's for years. I had to do a total elimination of all non paleo foods before I started to recover. Beware of things like yogurt (especially store bought), I used it for years thinking that it was helping, but now I think it was causing more problems than it solved. Yogurt and other conventional pro biotics are not necessary on a paleo diet because the bacteria profile that best suits paleo digestion is so radically different than the acidophiles based pro biotics formulated for the guts of dairy and vegetable eaters.

What if I take antibiotics for lyme? They say you have to take probiotics if you take antibiotics... would the bacteria from raw meat and high meat for maybe 1 or 2 weeks out of the month be enough?

I've been tested for celiac and had the biopsy. I've also not eaten anything but fruits and meat/fat/eggs for quite a while. Though I'm going to try trading the fruits for baked sweet potato and some greens.

Regarding the yogurt, I was mainly just curious how the probiotics in cultured yogurt could have such a different effect then taking probiotic supplements. Especially since all dairy constipates me and cultured yogurt does the opposite.

Beam Ray machines are the same as Rife machines right?

if your tests come back positive for lyme borreliosis then you probably need antibiotics.  if negative or inconclusive i would not take any antibiotics.  remember antibiotics are poison, you want to use them as the last resort never as just in case.

Even if the Lyme is found within someone, is it inevitable that they must be dosed with antibiotics as the only treatment , based on what I have seen people with long standing and systemic Lyme wont magically get well even after extensive anti biotic regiments, The whole point I am trying to make is that the raw paleo diet on its own may offer a better chance of total recovery. If you dump a bunch of antibiotics upon yourself while trying to adapt to raw paleo , you cant get the full benefits of this diet.

Its all well, to claim that pro biotics and cultured milk can offset the damage done by antibiotics, although I am not so sure. Its like saying herbal treatments offset the damage done by chemo. You can alleviate some of the issues by using pro biotics but you are still damaged in ways that are not easy to measure.

I wonder how many people who are debilitated by Lyme or conditions with similar symptoms have never taken an anti biotic in their life. Like most children I know I have been dosed with antibiotics regularly since birth and so my natural defences were never given a chance to mature. I think that people who come down with crippling Lyme are already damaged or malnourished.

I just want an open discussion about the possibility that indiscriminate use of antibiotics could leave people more prone to Lyme type infections. I am sure that people got Lyme type disease before the age of antibiotics and its nothing new but it happened in people who were prone because of malnourishment.

Is there anyone who has Lyme, chronic fatigue,or something simmilar and was never dosed with antibiotics before the sickness insued. (this may sound extreme but I think its something worth looking into)

GS,

What's the story on those devices? I have been reading about Royal Rife the guy who did a lot of research and was able to do amazing things with it.

Do you have or use one or know someone who has used them? Successfully? Are they useful? The list of issues that they work on seems to cover practically the entire list of known diseases and conditions.

The reports from users are quite dramatic.
Cheers
Al

Beam ray destroys parasites and germs at the correct frequency.

It is specific.

Not broad spectrum like antibiotics or zapper.

It's a tool.  Just like any other tool for healing.

I go to a father and daughter team who have the experience and intelligence to use this tech wisely.

I just wrote this blog post just now.
The beam ray machines and a custom zapper seems to have just saved our daughter's life from deadly dengue fever.

I've known people that had lyme and got absolutely no benefit from Rife. There's a whole group here that tried it actually together - one person giving free sessions to other lyme sufferers. It's an extremely expensive machine without being expensive to produce.

Being able to see people's energy - I also see no actual changes in people's energy when using the machine.

My own personal opinion is that it probably is mostly placebo effect - but placebo can be EXTREMELY effective. I wish I could get a patent on the placebo. ;)

I'd like to know about seeing people's energy. Do you see your own? I can sometimes see a fuzzy halo around my fingers or a tree, but nothing more has come.

Hey Adora - We can talk about that more in private as it's not really on subject in a general way at this forum - I just thought it was pertinent when it came to evaluating a particular tool. I wouldn't like to see someone spend a whole bunch of money that they couldn't afford - ya know? Gotta focus limited resources on that which is most likely useful. Getting good grass-fed and organic food and other such things can be a challenge enough for many financially - but when someone is really sick and suffering I've seen people waste their every last penny on such devices.  :'(

You're talking about seeing aura. There are many people who can and lots of books and no doubt links on the net for doing it.

Been talking about Rife lots with Al and another friend and looks like there is a vast variety of different kinds of machines being used and a lot of controversy on what is the original Rife machine. Probably results are contingent on getting the right kind of machine?

Aura isn't necessarily the same as there are multiple energy pathways of the body - but yeah - probably lots of info on this on the internet and would be happy to talk privately about such things.

I wouldn't know where to start with you Max, sorry. I agree with GS, you sound a lot like Jordan Rubin of The Maker's Diet. That was my first thought after reading your initial post. The only advise I could give you is listen to your body, and stick to the foods that give you the least amount of trouble. Good Luck!
