Care for some human cheese?
« on: February 15, 2011, 02:03:42 am »
I was doing research on raw milk when I came across this...

http://www.grist.org/article/food-2011-01-12-care-for-some-human-cheese/

http://chefdanielangerer.typepad.com/chef_daniel_angerers_blog/2010/02/mommys-milk.html

from the comments:

Quote
There are places where human milk is consumed by more than just infants. In most countries of the world, the average age of weaning is between the ages of two and seven. In Mongolia, adults drink breast milk. It's considered a treat. Human breast milk is a perfectly healthy and nutritious food for a human being at any age to consume.

Quote
Breast milk is not the same as human flesh, and should never be compared to cannibalism. It is the only food in the universe specifically designed for human consumption. No other food in all of existence was designed by evolution specifically for only humans to eat. It exists for one purpose, and one purpose only, and that is to feed humans.

Interesting.

Would you consume raw human milk if it was commercially available and guaranteed disease-free?

Well I have problems with lactose whether it be from human milk or cow milk but if I could digest lactose and it was guaranteed disease free I think I would be game.

The only reason I drink cow milk is because I do not have access to healthy human milk.
It's the only logical way...  8)
Suckling on women's breasts is fun,
if milk came out I would be extra happy!
This may be controversial but where I live, so is raw meat.
but what do I know...

Yeah I must say I agree here but I was purely talking about the consumption of human milk as daily food staple.

Judging by what raw cow's milk has done for me, I can only imagine how good human milk would be for me..

I'd buy some in an instant, but I really would want to know how healthy the mother is, especially what they eat on a daily basis.

It's a good question. Those who think that raw cow's milk is good for human adults, must logically therefore think that the raw milk of a raw Paleo human female should be even healthier.

I tried organic grassfed pasturized cow butter. It backed up my lymph. I think I've had enough human milk anyway. I was breasted as a baby two whole years. I would drink human milk now if my whole tribe was. Otherwise I think I'm too socially conditioned to milk.

I was still drinking the occasional raw dairy when I began this diet and my wife was still nursing the new one, so of course whenever she had a clogged duct or just some excess milk on tap I helped myself. I seemed to get some benefit from it but by the time I began to abandon dairy my wife began to make less milk, so I gave it up as well.

But once again I am in luck, my wife is now into early labor and it may be a matter of days before she gets her milk in.

Of course at first she makes 10 times as much as the child can drink so I was thinking, I could sell the overflow to one of you cheese makers out their. Its not grass fed so I might have to sell it at discount. :0

(just kidding) but really how much would it be worth$$ Money talks and we need the money.
I could make some fresh raw cheese and send out samples.

I hope the feds don't raid us for trafficking unpasteurized dairy.

There is already some sort of "bank" in the western USA(California?) where nursing mothers can donate their mothers' milk. It's meant for people with various unusual diseases. However, it is ruthlessly pasteurised before being made available to the public. Can't remember where I got the article.

Uhhh, I don't think I would be comfortable drinking the milk from another woman, especially if I didn't know them or their diet, except possibly my own mother's, but that would still be weird.. although I might be more comfortable eating cheese from my mother's milk, hm.  But not milk or cheese from people unrelated to me.

However, I would definitely allow my love to drink all the milk he wanted straight from me, no problem.  =]
Hi, I'm 32, around 5'4" and ~124lb, no real significant health problems other than hyperventilating when running/exercising (that my doc said was because of the smog/asthma), fatigue, and really bad acne.
I'd preferably be a carnivore/very low carb, but I have had a very hard time finding grass-fed or even organic fats, organs, and marrow. I consume raw dairy, but I do not eat much vegetables.. however, I do love fruit.
I live with my dad, so I also have to sneak any raw meat eating.

I've tasted my wife's milk many times.
We used to defrost her frozen milk to feed our children.
Rule of thumb is taste the milk before bottle feeding.

I've also tasted fresh mother's milk straight from the breast...

And one time when we were in a party and she forgot her breast pump and her breasts were bursting... she needed my oral breast pump.

I am not drinking it and I dont suggest anybody do lol

I just thought someone should know about it maybe find it hilarious or useful somehow Idk...

I find it weird that we eat raw meat  talking about sucking women nipples for milk but find it disgusting to even mention semen...

Depends on the woman.
Depends on her diet.
Depends on the age of her child.  Breast milk formulation adjusts as the child grows older.

I have noticed that when my wife eats a dinner of shrimp and rice , that her milk will let down and it will be the sweetest tasting milk ever, but when she dose not eat for a few hours the milk can often taste like rancid fat mixed with arm pit. -v

In responce to sperm aversion, I have been told that since going paleo that my sperm has a stronger taste, that isn't unpleasant. While I was going through my vegetarian phase it seems my sperm was far less appetizing. -X perhaps I shouldn't tell this things but what the hay, if you cant honestly gross out strangers on a diet forum then who can you gross out.
