getting to the lobster meat

i just ate some lobster tail which was the best thing iv ever tasted and then tried to get to the claw meat for a long time  but was totally unsuccessful. Does anyone know how to get to the claw meat when its raw?

I just use a sharp metal meat-knife which I place above key areas of the lobster and then I use hammer on the knife to break open the claws etc.
