Fruit And Animal Products Diet
« on: May 12, 2013, 04:03:33 pm »
Hi,

I would just like to mention my website, faapdiet.org (fruit and animal products diet) for inclusion in your section "Raw Paleo Diet to Suit You".
It advocates an all raw plant-free diet containing fruit/fruit juice, milk, fish and meat and spells out the harm caused by eating plants and cooked food as well as the benefits of eating fruit and is fully referenced with supporting scientific research.

Thanks and Regards,
Roger

I like your content, Roger:

Toxicants in plants

Don't eat plants. They are toxic! While animals can flee or fight to combat predation, plants rely on numerous toxic substances to avoid predation. By eating plants you are fighting evolution!
Plants can't run away or fight off predation. Any ideally edible plant would be extinct.

Some plant toxicants include the following:
Cytotoxins - stilbenoids in peanuts
Mutagens - [6]-gingerol in ginger
Carcinogens - safrole in cocoa
Enzyme inhibitors:
- Cholinesterase inhibitors - in potatoes
- Protease inhibitors - in raw soybeans
- Amylase inhibitors - in wheat flour
Tannins - in tea, coffee, and cocoa
Cyanogenic glycosides - in cassava.
Goitrogens (glucosinolates) - in Brassica species: cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, etc.
Lectin proteins (phytohemagglutinins) - in red kidney beans
Lathyrogens - in chick peas and vetch
Pyrrolizidine alkaloids - in crops contaminated with weeds
Antivitamins - although not toxic per se, the anti-vitamins can cause problems as a result of their interference with the function or absorption of essential nutrients.
Anti-thiamin compounds - in mung beans, rice bran, beets, Brussels sprouts

I wouldnt recommend fruit juices because its jsut way too much sugar way too fast. Wouldnt recommend too much fruit either as too much fruit often gives me some symptoms.

whats your stance on celery juice? I hate eating leaves by the way, feels iike eating paper or worse.

try for an experiment eating as many celery stalks as you can before they start to taste non desireable,,, that may tell you how much celery juice your body would like.  Same for any juice.

actually I should have written,, suck the juice out after chewing, and spit out the pulp, and then see how many you can go through that way before you want to stop...       a good exercise to try with kale or spinach or any green veg.

If you find some that are high-enough Brix, then they taste pretty sweet.
