While I am here in this beautiful region,
I thought why not to try and set up a healing and loving space while together we walk the path of re-wilding ourselves through nature, diet and indigenous knowledge?

That is what I m currently into at the moment.

If interested, please have a look at http://edenwithin.blogspot.com.br/

Thank You!

Wow Aura, you are awesome!

What a brilliant project. In my dreams I would love to come and live in your community. Such a great idea to get back to a real, natural way of life. My only concerns would be if there heaps of biting insects and my hopelessness at learning a new language, plus the reality of my family commitments. Maybe one day I would be able to visit you though for a holiday, that would be very nice.

Wishing you all the best  ;)
Mike

Very nice website, but with a strong  vegan tendency... How do you feel with them? I disagree also with their view of the closed couple and family as being natural. The life in tribes without private property (of the persons as well as of the goods) has been the natural and normal way for hominids and humans during millions of years.

All the best,
François

There are not many biting insects here..
It is mosquitoes and even during the rainy seasons are not many..
Some thicks and flees in the forest but that is pretty much it..
Portuguese is easy to learn. 5 months perhaps for an english speaking person?

mmm vegan tendency you say.. what exactly gives you this impression?
It was totally involuntary.

Do you think we westeners would be able to translate to a tribal reality without being overwhelmed by the drastic change?
I m interested how you would set it up instead, in the beginning..

But yeah, it should be as you said.
Certainly it will be one of the most important  aims after we get acquainted.

Our way of eating is in agreement with the "low fat raw vegan" principles of not needing to consume anything else than whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic plant foods in order to thrive. Practically, this means that we primarily eat fruits, some vegetables, as well as (sometimes) nuts and seeds, always in their raw and natural state, without feeling the need of adding any condiment or supplement of any sort. This is the reason why we strongly believe that once our food forest and garden will be established we will be able to reach self-sufficient for our food needs.

Note that we are not driven by the animal protection ideas of the vegan movement and that although we have the greatest compassion for animals, we would tolerate eating minimal amounts of animal flesh, and perhaps eggs, as long as consuming them raw is appealing and that respect for animals is always maintained.

Strangely, the first time I clicked on your link it lead me to this website or web-pages, and now I clicked again on the same link and got on a similar website or web-pages, but with your name and made by you.

I think it’s the same kind of change than from cooked food to raw paleo. We are certainly badly adapted to cooked, Neolithic and modern foods, and reverting to instinctive raw Paleolithic nutrition is a return to normality. It can be very difficult or even impossible in our modern environment where it’s hard to find the correct food and if we have to do with commercial foods. But the alternative is to go on cooked stuff, pasta and cheese and it’s not viable either, unless you’re very lucky to nevertheless remain in very good health during you whole live without any need for medicine and surgery.

Likewise, few people are very lucky to have a lasting happy and fulfilling live in a closed couple / family. In most cases it sooner or later becomes a disaster, love being killed by jealousy, adultery, divorce, or simply routine and disinterest. This is certainly the cause of the explosion of pornography, prostitution, delinquency, violence, rapes, crimes, terrorism and wars.  >:

With the vanishing of sexual obsession provided by a correctly practiced instinctive raw paleo nutrition, we have a unique opportunity to experiment a return to the tribal social ways that our species is certainly adapted to. The hippy movement tried it but failed because it ignored the fact that cooked, Neolithic and modern foods tend to cause an abnormal sexual obsession. In practice, it often fails also because most people in our society are neurotics, but still I don’t see any other viable alternative to extract us of the deep troubles we are in.

It happened because I used somebody s else site structure.
But now I am reviewing to make sure I replace all the old links.

I am not sure cooked food is the cause of all evil.
It is a holistic matter therefore cannot be blamed solely on diet..

Lifestyle is key.

We should aim to do our best and go back to a natural lifestyle in Nature (either a property in a rural area or in the jungle).
It wont work in cities.

The private property would act as a base camp where to settle in a new country and a place for training.

I think transition is needed because we are not fit (in the body and in the mind, and psychologically as well) to move from the couch to the rainforest in the blink of an eye..
Many of us homo domesticus are just sick, so sick..
We need a place to heal and learn indeed.

Ah, ok, I understand. But there are strong similarities between both websites. I thought you are living with these people, aren’t you?.

I’m not convinced either that everything happened ever since should necessarily by considered evil (what’s good and what’s evil is another question), but in light of our experience it seems likely that mastery of the fire and especially its use for hunting and cooking food ignited a suite of  irreversible events, the next one being the advent of agriculture and the resultant drastic changes in social organization which finally led to the population explosion and the mess we are in now.

Yes, but the current lifestyle of the bulk of world’s population is certainly due at the origin to cooking food and the resultant introduction of agriculture.

Totally agree.

Yes, I also agree with that. But it won’t be easy for several people to live together, precisely because everyone is sick somehow and everyone stick to different beliefs or ideas.

Perhaps, but I'm just like most of the people, stuck in my current life. Moreover I just shifted  two months ago from France to Portugal and have very little money left unless I could sell all my belongings.

Also, I’m skeptical that I could lastingly live in a group as I’ve been on my own for most of my life, doing what I want without having to wait for or rely on others. Besides, most rawfoodists are particular people, with a strong, difficult or crazy personality. Some want to be the chief, some are stuck to their computer screen while another does  all the work, most have no money and expect the others to pay everything for them,  etc.
