Swollen Lymph Nodes
« on: May 21, 2014, 10:15:40 am »
What causes swollen lymph nodes? My boyfriend has lumps around the groin and his side/rib area (where the obliques muscles are), so I'm sure they are the lymph nodes. I'm certain that this is linked to all the stress going on with his system overall while he still has eczema, but just wondering in general what causes this and what can fix it?

your detoxing helps, sweating may help, jumping up and down a rebounder trampoline helps, lymph drainage massage may help but it may just spill as eczema, magnetic pulsers may help.

Just google their function, they are a filter of some kind.

Massage, gravity, stretching, dry brushing are all helpful to the lymph system.

Look up lymphatic drainage massage, a lot of it you can do to yourself.

Jumping, laying on inclines, and any movement really stimulates lymph drainage.

Dry brushing the skin improves lymph movement.

There are a few herbal teas that re good for lymph like cleavers

I was lurking on the wai forum, and there was talk about swollen lymph nodes and how excess protein causes this. Thoughts? We did increase our protein intake since going paleo (duh) and the lymph nodes were swollen long before his skin got bad. It was around the time we started to lose weight (which happened quite rapidly).

Swollen Lymph nodes especially in the areas described can be telling of a sexually transmitted disease. He should get tested.

No need for drama either, STD's can lay dormant for a long time.

If he's not suffering from any sort of virus (sexually transmitted bacterias usually don't cause l.N's to swell) than he probably has a small blood infection. It's nothing serious as long as he doesn't have problems breathing, nausea, night sweats (back to back for more than 3 days in a 3 week period) cramping or liquid stools.

If he does, especially coupled with a fever -- Hospital time.

But yeah, get that sexual health check-up.
