I was considering to ask the same thing of Brad462.

Brad462, are these posts of yours for attention? If you are in need of expressing yourself with such prolific postings of melancholy please consider keeping them in your own journal so that ALL threads, let alone one titled "Give Us A Laugh" is not influenced by such. Furthermore, I am uncomfortable with anyone posting of criminal intentions, however benign the intention.

I hope you get the help you need. Surely nutrition is a component, and if you choose to use a raw paleo diet plan to improve your emotional and/or physical health, please ask questions as you try different approaches. Everyone here is happy to help and learn from your experience. Otherwise, please remember we have hundreds of members and guests who view this forum to learn about a raw paleo diet!. In support of EVERYONE ELSE, I am asking you to please refrain from adding nonconstructive whims of gloom to each topic. Perhaps, instead, you might find a more appropriate means of contributing to the forum.

I have forget my high meat for 3-4 weeks after it was being done for many months airing it regularly (every 4-7 days), and nothing bad happened. It smells really good to me. Like cooked meat with cheese and some others tones of flavors

Perhaps this wasn't really air tight? Otherwise (from personal experience) I would expect the smell to be quite revolting and for good reason.

I'm not writing with specifics bc I don't have them at hand, but taking coffee orally is supposed to have a systemic flushing effect, puts the body in fight or flight mode. Maybe in small amounts, but I wouldn't think daily, that does promote longevity?… but to rely on this purging stimulus to stay awake does not sound healthy to me which is what most Americans need to just get their shoes on in the morning. People in my family that know my routine ask how I just get up and go in the morning. I forgot most people aren't able to do that, I guess?

Now coffee enemas are supposed to have the opposite effect on the liver, these are supposedly the longevity credit to coffee… anyone to testify???

I'm with raw-al, never liked the taste, but the smell is wonderful!

dariorpi, I used to love yerba mate!!! I was just a kid, and it was probably with tons of sugar added  :o

I have read that American coffee has a much higher level of allowable mycotoxins in it than Euro coffee. Lower standards for importation in the US.

Mycotoxins are a result of beans being shipped on the ocean. The dampness encourages the mould that becomes the toxins. Apparently that is the cause of the hangover from coffee and stomach troubles that it gives me and a lot of PPL.

That's why we have Bulletproof coffee  ;D

Regarding produce, I eat organic ONLY. It's not just about the pesticides (which are in the soil too, so you can't wash everything away if in fact you are washing anything away at all). Organic also has to do with the quality of the soil and levels of contaminants permissible. You can't wash this toxicity off, it's incorporated in the growing plant.

If  I happen to have only meat that is from a less reliable source or unknown about diet, I will only eat the muscle meat, and not the fat or organs.

What are you eating, when, and how many meals?

I've been eating a lot of egg yolk and fish lately. With colder weather approaching I might eat more protein in the morning as I get cold easily without it.

Thanks for these suggestions. I'm investigating!

BTW CK, I took your other advice and contacted the local WAPF person for possibility of a roommate, but didn't receive any reply. Ah well, thought it was a great idea though! Now I'm thinking to find the place where I want to live, and then I'll look for a roommate that suits my lifestyle, instead of the other way around. I can't be the only gypsy here :)

TD, GS, and CK are like saints! I have observed them nearly DAILY for YEARS answer the same kinds of questions with great patience and detail as if it's the first time all over again.

More seasoned members, please consider following this kind of leadership when posting from knowledge and experience in order to offer a more welcoming and safe environment for newbies who may well be in a great need for your help.

But for the record, I really don't think we have any low-carbers among the mods, except for Ioanna, and I think she's been having more carbs recently, if I remember right.

I have shifted from healing/curing myself to finding what feels best energetically. I realize the latter will shift too, but less dramatically, I'm thinking. The two goals are so very different. So long story, short, yes, adding more carbs. And if I knew then what I know now, I know which carbs I would have eaten from the beginning.

RS + fat has been so healing to my gi tract. I may not need this anymore, I'm not sure. I still do not digest fruits, not even a handful of berries, for example. Same for raw honey, and then any other sweet fruit I try.

There's a balance I'm still trying to figure out, and may ask for input soon. As for ZC/VLC, it really served me quite well. Was the first thing that helped me to even start healing, and I didn't experience any sluggishness or anything like that. I felt just fine, no cravings, and plenty of energy added to the happiness of feeling health restoration. I think as I felt better and better it got easy to eat too much protein. At least I smelled ammonia-ey when I'd work out so I didn't think I was fueling myself  properly.

I am familiar with the book, and so much love my barefoot hiking days!

I have been unable to attain the level of well-being I experienced during my trip regardless of what I do in the city.

Just frustrating knowing how I should feel under the right conditions.

I could have written these sentences myself. Although diet has done so much for me, a complimentary lifestyle is simply fantastic. I cannot figure out how to have the resources for the first while living the latter, but I try to find some balance.

Compare to breast, how the thigh taste? Is it much tougher? Is it flavor stronger? Thanks for reply.


They are closer to the bone which is said to increase mineral content of the meat and so the meat is darker and tastier IMO. They are fattier, so not tougher.  I just get what is available, the thighs tend to be cheaper bc everyone wants the leaner breast meat. But the farmer I trust tends to bring more breast meat to the market so that's what I have available.

If you buy chicken legs, don't waste anything and eat the bone and marrow with it!

I got inspired by my dog who eats the whole leg when she gets one, and come to think of it it's all benefits:

-calcium and stuff from the crushed bone and marrow

-strengthens your jaw

-less waste (even if I have not managed to eat the denser ends of the bone yet).

My dog loves the bone too, but I don't crush it and I don't eat it myself. How do you crush the bone??

Does anyone else eat bone meal for comment? Just seems like a food that passes through me identifiably does not have nutrition value??

Just some quick ideas…

Do you get enough sleep in complete darkness, and during hours of circadian rhythm?
Do you get enough sunlight?
Do you practice meditation, proper breathing techniques, and gratitude?
Exercise HIIT at least 20 minutes a day?
Have well-being on level of profession, community, finance, relationships, health?… which ones need work vs the ones you can find gratitude?

Do you have whitebait at the farmers markets? That was my favorite thing to eat in the UK, I wish I could find it here! Very tasty and an easy way to eat the entire fish.
