I haven't had any urge at all to have a bowel movement. Yeah last night I kept puking. What was strange to me though was that there wasn't really any substance to it like when I usually have to vomit.

Health / Strange stomach pain
« on: November 23, 2010, 06:42:11 am »
I was hoping someone might be able to help me here. I've been transitioning to raw paleo, I cut out all sugars and grains and eat a lot of meat and include a lot of fat. Last night I started feeling sick completely out of the blue. I was feeling fine one moment, the next my head was around the toilet. Trying to sleep usually brought on extreme nasua but if I stay up I have extremely intense stomach cramps. I've never had a pain like this before and it has me worried just because it's unusual, and I try to pay pretty close attention to my body. The past two days I felt really thirsty but when I drank water it revolted me. I hadn't been hungry when I did eat and the food revolted me as well, I had only had 2 pieces of bacon (and a sausage that I forced myself to eat) the previous two days. A couple hours before the pain I took a couple capsules of Dr.Ron's organ supplement because I was worried about not eating at all. I have a grass fed steak in the fridge, would it help if I ate that, or would it be bad to eat because i'm not hungry? Sorry if this is nothing but i'm in a lot of pain and I have no idea how to go about getting any relief. Thank you everyone in advance.

Health / Jaw problems?
« on: March 17, 2010, 03:42:10 am »
Ever since I can remember my jaw pops every single time I open my mouth. For some reason I always thought it was normal until now that it's gotten even worse. I've looked around and haven't found any solution from western or eastern medicine. Even my dentist says my teeth are perfect and my jaw looks fine. Anyone have any idea? I really appreciate any help you can give me.

Exercise / Bodybuilding / Re: Resources for getting into exercise

I recommend parkour as exercise http://www.americanparkour.com/. I just got started yesterday so I can't really vouch for how well it works. Just look at some of those videos though, I've never seen anyone with so much functional strength. Plus it's very paleo, they look just like monkeys! I'm also starting crossfit today, so we'll see how that goes.

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Re: Brushing Teeth

Anyone tried using a miswak stick? http://www.yobserver.com/sports-health-and-lifestyle/10013042.html.
I've decided to buy one and see if they work well as toothbrush and toothpaste replacement.

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Storage
« on: February 17, 2010, 02:29:28 am »
So i've been storing my grass fed meat in the fridge with no lid, as I recently read a post that you want a lot of oxygen in your meat.  I've also been leaving my meat out to get room temperature before I eat it. I haven't been eating raw for very long so yesterday I ate mostly the previously mentioned meat and some cooked food in the morning. Today when I woke up, I felt strangely nauseas and congested. My stool also had what looked like mold. Is this a detox or am I not supposed to be leaving my meat open to the air? Any hope would be gladly appreciated, I don't want to poison myself or anything.

General Discussion / Re: Do you tell your farmers what the meats for??

Everyone I know knows that I eat my meat raw, including the farmer that I buy it from. Some people are interested and the rest really just don't care. I Never saw any reason not to tell people.

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Re: What am I missing?
« on: February 06, 2010, 04:25:33 am »
Thanks, that really helps. I think i'm just not eating nearly enough meat, i'll try that and see how it goes. One last question, is there anything wrong with eating ground beef raw? I seem to remember reading somewhere that ground beef touches more metal than a cut of meat and has more of a chance of being contaminated. Is there any truth to this or can I eat it without worrying? I'm still new to raw meat and I have to continually remind my logical mind that i'm not going to die from it.

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / What am I missing?
« on: February 06, 2010, 04:00:14 am »
I've now gotten to the point in eating mostly raw foods that now pretty much anything cooked hurts my stomach really bad, especially grains. I would love to just eat raw but I feel like i'm missing something here. I've been eating just raw grass-fed muscle meat, at the moment I could only get ground beef. I'm also eating marrow from the same farm. I end up eating just this and more fruit and nuts. I keep getting hungry though and feel like i'm missing some source of fat, since i've been craving butter and cheese. From what i've read on the forum you want mostly fat and some organs and muscle meat, but the only fat I have is the marrow. I've noticed that i've started losing weight and i'm hoping that it's not because i'm not just eating enough. Anyone have any suggestions?

General Discussion / Wild harvested
« on: February 03, 2010, 04:09:06 am »
I apologize if this topic has already been discussed but I did not see it in the forums. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to start when learning about how to wild harvest your own food. After starting a raw diet I would much rather get my food myself for optimum nutrients. Eventually I plan to get a hunting licence and hunt my own food. In the mean time, does anyone have any resources on how to harvest my own honey and fruits and veggies? I'm having a difficult time finding books on local plants and am wondering if there's an easier way to go about it. Thank you in advance!

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / raw marrow
« on: February 01, 2010, 04:33:07 am »
So I just started eating raw meat and organs. The other day I went my local farm and bought a few bags of marrow bones. Does anyone know how to actually get the marrow out of the bones? These are knuckle bones if it makes any difference. I can't seem find any information on how to prepare marrow online and my girlfriend who is a chef has no clue. Any help would be gladly appreciated!
