Off Topic / guest to user ratio 10:1?

i notice that a lot of the time there are 10X as many guests online as users. I am guessing this is due to multiple reasons but wondering why it is this way? does this ratio represent mainstreams society on raw paleo...questioning/researching it but too afraid to 'sign in' to such a lifestyle (or forum  :P)
but i speculate its cause:
-ppl are afraid of and/or inexperienced of forums in general
-on the outside looking in...seeing if grass really is greener on other side
-evaluating to see we are not actually crazy, then user population will boom
-don't wanna post cause they don't know much and don't wanna sound dumb. purely infotainment

....thoughts/opinions plz, always fun, informing, and stimulating

Health / Ear Ringing.... Tips please?

i am RZC and my right ear is damaged or something, as when it is very quite i can always hear a ringing in it. I do know i have ear wax build up, and they would clog often even with Raw paleo ominivore, but has gone away a bit w RZC. Any Tips/suggestions?
i do not have a cell phone or ipod btw

after reading Yuli's post (below) i remember my dad emailing me telling me and my siblings to learn mandrine. there are over 1billion people speaking mandrine today and growing. this is the language of the future. thoughts/opinions?

lol, last time my cat had an eye irritation and I wanted to wash it out with some black tea, so I told my dad to go buy black tea, he was like "huh", I told just simple TEA...he's like ok....he comes back with a spiced Chai (lol because in his language simple black tea is called Chai), this sort of confusions are happening all the time ><

i went to have a nice warm cup of... wait all tea is from a carb source. hmmmmm i thought. i said f it and had some organic peppermint tea which was bomb, but what do some of u more experienced ZCer's drink for a warm nice drink?

i dont drink coffee, and tea maybe weekly, but alternatives? ty

I asked the butcher at my grocery store if i could get some fat, as he has tones and a company picks it up. he said i could havea  bunch regurlarly free. These cattle are grainfed, no antibiodics, not fed other cows, but maybe growth hormones, not ever outside and all the other bad things pottentially.

What are your guys experiences with a type of fat like this from a poorly treated animal? i have not tryed the fat yet, but i am kind of skeptical. Does fat store toxins/high omega 6, or is it only goodness stored in fat?? (excuse my noobness plz  :))

interesting read promoting lowcarb/highfat diet. they recomend 70/30 percent fat-protien---zero carb.

I have been zero carb for my first week jsut now. i was out of fat and hungry, and thought why not try some celery again. i felt stomach pains 30min after and had a BM which did not feel right somehow, like it should not have happened. I a just curious how others that are ZC here have responded to carbs/fiber after being zc

I have realized the benifits of carnivorism, and i used to think it was crazy when i first joined the forum. I believe that many peopel have the same opinion, but just withhold it becuase they are unsure, as all the people in "real life" i tell about carnivor they say u are gonna get uber sick. But that aside, i am wondering if a vet can tell me how my diet is, and what can/should be modified for optimal health. i feel like i am going thru mild ketosis from changeover, since my whol 21year life has been low fat, so i am weining out carbs more and more these last 3weeks.

here is my diet:
-grassfed/pastured organic beef/bison liver daily (try to get more bison than beef)
-as much bone marrow as i feel like eating from grassfed beef
-started with ground grainfed pork to adjust to fat, but i am getting rid of it for red meat
-grassfed organic groundbeef? (high in fat/muscles meats)
-tongue/heart when i can (one of the two weekly)
-carlson codliver oil
-whole pasturized organic chicken egg 3-4 a week

I have been using honey to help digest the fat at first but am knocking it out today. I live in ontario, so they have a ban on lots of organ sales, basically can only buy kidney,heart,tongue,liver,bone shanks :(

i have a few butchers i tend to, one of them who are meninites and are no growth hormones, anti-biotics, pesticides ect, but their animals are grass fed. I am curious if by eating that meat i am getting the lectins that they are eating, thus inhibiting absobsion. ty

Exercise / Bodybuilding / is Stretching Paleo/Necessary?

i see my dog do the same stretch and i only really stretch my core/back in morning and sometimes and its quick. i know muscles are stronger when not stretched, but my question comes to after work out routine. i hear all over stretching after is more important, but i figure the Cavemen would not stretch after intesne exercise, should i?

what are the pros/cons of stretching after working out

Though over long periods of using, you will mess with ur brain/hormone chemistry among other things, it may be smart to use a TINY bit every once in a while for snowboarding/big sports match as i have done. Thoughts/opinions?

I have been chiro for most my life, and i legit find it helps and has saved my lil bro, by allowing him to get off really strong anti-bio when he was a tot and they fucked his teeth. But since i started raw paleo and doing more weight training i dont feel its necesarry. I can tell how out of whack my spine is before i go in and while getting adjusted (which is a LOT after tennis, especially if i serve a lot). But now that i am putting more symetry into my body using my left hand for everything including sports, and playing on monkey bars/trees (lifting) i notice they barely do anything when i go in.

Has anyone else noticed such effect, and does dairy have a lot to do with moddern peeps needing chiro?

i currently have the 1st year f50 which are way over hyped and i received as a gift. i want some nicee kicks that give me the ever so desired barefootedness feel i crave now. if anyone here watches the premiership or this year the champions league Tottenham has a Winger Lennon who i see regularly running barefoot style (not heel-toe). when he took off once and got crazy fast acceleration the commentator was like "wow wee look at Lennon!! So sat night i was kinda pissed cause things are not quite going the way i want in life, and my dad was irritating me amongst other things. Anyway's, i have not had a full blown food "relapse" yet (2.5 months rpd no cheating at all) and my dad is always like "one day a week u should slide and get mcdees/junk food ect" to keep mental sanity, as he relies on this stuff hourly to run off a constant sugar buzz. So basically i was sad and did not give a f#*k last night, and thought mid as well document this "experiment" for u guys if im gonna poison myself  8)... -v

So i had roughly 15-20 mini choclate bars quickly of :reese pbc, o henry, mr.big, wonderbar . The effects that occurred were:
Immediate: -Bloated( felt i could not move and could not eat anymore), I also tried to throw it up but somehow this garbage tricked my body into believing it is real food and couldnt get it up.
-Tired (i slept from like 11-9) with crazy crazy dreams because of the peanuts.
-Addictive. This is the CRAZIEST thing is how much i wanted more and how addictive it is. Even though i could not stomach more, i still wanted it soooooo bad, the shit is like crack cocaine (as i even contemplated briefly having more the following day lol).
-I was reallllllly thirsty while eating. I drank a lot of water while eating and after, as i was parched and figured i dont want this stuff to digest really either.

9am the next morning: -sinuses all clogged with really yellow mucus/specs of blood.
-a feeling of disorientation/unawareness/disconnect of mind/body
-MOUTH TASTES LIKE SHITTTTT. This is happened to me everyday before rpd, so it was a comical remind of my old state.
-mentally foggy/mild mild headache. I feel like i just downgraded from my new macbook pro to my old POS Dell virus box.
-Strong urge for more sugar. There are a bunch of bananas my dad got in the kitchen and i want soooo bad.
-my ears were ringing. This is probly more to do with the sinuses being messed up.
-my eyes looked dead. Peoplel notice my eyes are very wide/clear these days, but this morning they looked BAD.
-burping a lot/indigestion
-intense dyhydration
-abdomminal pain once the garbage got moving inside me from drinking water.
-my voice dropped signifigantly!!!! (can someone please tell me why????)

Overall id say the biggest blow is to my sinuses and mental state. The worst part is just how addictive that stuff is, and how dull i felt. Today (sunday/halloween) i am doing a water fast till late tonight myb monday depending on how i feel, as i want the lectins and other various poisons (soy lectin/milk powder, wheat powder ect) out of my body. I can now see why fat/SAD people eat so much of this shit, as they cannot feel their body and the repercussions, so they just have more cause its so instantly satisfying and addictive, i remember in my sad days i ate so much candy and never felt like i do right now. Questions/comments please.

Health / what is the best fish oil?

I have read that if fish oil makes u burp and does not smell like the ocean its not quality/is rancid. The kind i have jsut tried (carlson) does this to me, but i am not sure if its the oil or the fact taht it has the added orange taste i despice(cannot find non-tast added kind). I have read the topic on fishoil being good/bad, but i have read online its good given how its produced (is it raw/boiled, what kind of fish, freshness ect)

Of those of u who do use/advocate fish oil, what brand is best and digestes well? Thanks, Andrew

i havent smoked for a year but used to be perma fried in my SAD days for a few years. i just was thinkin about how weed has lots of toxins in it and wutnot, but myb that is due to heating it(kinda like food). google does not help with this, as people like to smoke for quick results, and they all say u need heat to activate thc which makes no sense to me. maybe release it from the plant, but what are ur guys thoughts? i wanna be more creative so m contemplating dif things like i am now becoming left handed. so:
1) does organic outdoor weed have toxins raw?
2) any vitamins/minerals in weed (no info on this either from health sites/stoners)
3) high metabolism from weed suggests to me that ur body does not want this stuff inside it : so there fore is it poison?

Health / Left side weaker than right side...help plz?

i have noticed that the left side of my body, specifically my core is weaker than my right and has been for a while. I dont work out (lift weights much) but i am very active and mobile. I did conciously realize today that when standing still i keep my left hand in my back pants pocket and use it as support like i cant hold my body up straight. this is odd cause i am 21 and very athletic. Any tips for stregthening/ do you know what cuases this? i was reading it could be a brain thing(ms or whack shit) :S ...(scary) .   ty, andrew

they have the best prices and products. only downfall is getting there, but all their stuff is pastured and grass fed, no pesticieds, growth hormones..... and they cannot lie when u ask them a question (strong religious folk). this may be obvious for some, but its a great place for food. just sayin (we go to our omish friends a lot, but they dont do paleo, but i have not told them yet. my mom goes way more than me)

i am into eating raw meat now for the last 2months, i read about people eating bone marrow a lot and other fats, but i get gag reflex when i try to consume it, even a tiny bit mixed with lean meat. I am a "lean person" very low fat, 6'1 143pounds and highly athletic Caucasian male. Avocados/coconut oil seems to go down better, but i wanna bulk up for these Canadian winters. HELP PLZ???!!! thanks a lot, all you guys have changed my life in so many positive ways i can only help by paying it forward. Regards,

There are some Paleo Resterants over the place. They are called high class country clubs. My family is members at one in London Ontario Called The Hunt Club. All food is locally organic, meet grassfed/organic and you can order it raw.(in ontario we have a limit on certain organs you can eat though). But ya, check it out, maybe you have one too, hopefully membership is not required like at The Hunt

i was circumsised(booooo) as a youngster by my "smart" parents. They just go w the flow and dont really question much. i have now been informed as to how much sesitivity i am missing, and wondering if foreskin does grow back naturally(especially on raw carn). i have read about stretching skin out, but it seems sketchy. I am kinda fking pissed btw, feel cheated

Personals / My dad won't let me eat raw meat, help w informing him?

I am 21, have been eating paleo for 3 some months, but just started eating my organic grass fed meat raw almost 2 weeks ago. i like to be honest and tell people about what i do, but he is really closed minded and thinks i am insane at this point (lol). He will not let me eat my meat raw in the house, and unfortunately i have to live here for the next year due to financial reasons. I have tried to tell him why its better and that its only social conditioning/comfort, but he does not like new ideas or things that make him feel uncomfortable with what he knows.
CAN ANYONE GIVE ME REALLY GOOD INFO/ SCIENTIFIC DOCUMENTED REASONS AS TO WHY RAW MEAT IS BETTER!!!!!????? PLEASE. ty
