It's fruit. That's the problem.
I don't see what looks great/impressive in that picture... can somebody point it out?
Durian is certainly a unique fruit with a lot of protein and maybe other nutriments and overall nutriment density not found in other fruits and it would be of great interest to know if man can indeed survive on it's monodiet over a prolonged period of many years. A few months is certainly OK. As every fruit it's seasonal and no wild animal or any of our paleo ancestors could probably eat this fruit the whole year round.
My experience with it is that I systematically tend to overeat it because it tastes so great. This makes me sleepy as a snake after a monthly meal.
By the way DR's 3000 to 8000 cal a day of fruit and greens seems crazy. I doubt that he has done or can do this over a prolonged period and most of this food is probably not properly digested.
I sure hope you're right Paleodonk. If it is connective tissue, when we eat it can the body use it? if we throw it away are we missing out on any protein??
Hi I
I caught up with an old friend recently who was a severe IBS sufferer. We lost contact but the last time we were hanging out he got so skinny due to the IBS that his lung collapsed and was hospitalised.
Now five years later I ended up at his 'World Cup Party' he's married now to a cool chick, owns 3 houses, eats KFC and is really happy. All IBS free. He tells me it's because he stopped caring about what people thought and also stop stressing about IBS.
Your cure from diet his from finding peace. Interesting.
That's what I was hoping for, and I think I've found a very small level of certain fruits that I can handle reasonably well, but fruit still gives me problems nearly a year after starting VLC. Are you able to eat large quantities of fruit without problems?
I eat about 1-1.5 lbs per day. No one is flabbergasted because no one has seen me eat.
That chicken had the most honorable death possible.
In the hands of the most advanced predator on this spinning rock.
To claim otherwise is not having insight into reality.
There's nothing wrong with that video it's beautiful in every way.
Go eat some carrots.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Swimming is amazing for that. Have you ever tried tan tien? Its when you inhale as much as possible sticking your stomach out, then exhaling all the air and doing it again. It's an exercise people use to practice correct breathing as many people breath through their necks or with their chests, but that is inefficient. We are supposed to breath with our stomachs when we inhale to get all the air in. I think the Chinese invented it to decrease stress, look it up.
I do have to force myself to eat more than my body signals for, or I lose too much weight--and I already have what some people would consider an "emaciated" body (though that's largely because I was born very thin and with fine bones and very little muscle tissue). I also have to drink more than my body calls for to minimize dehydration (and even doing so I'm still chronically slightly dehydrated). The Instincto instincts idea doesn't work for me--probably due to my body being messed up in some way. I know this is hard for people who have perfect instincts to understand, but I hope they will try to understand that not everyone has perfect instincts--even many months after adopting a RPD.
I think the key lesson to bear in mind, once again, is to speak for one's own experience, rather than for everyone.
