General Discussion / Re: How can you tell if the meat has been frozen?
« on: April 11, 2010, 05:01:54 am »
Yes, I know the lack of taste is obvious.

I'd actually like to figure it out before I buy it.

Looks like if to meat has been frozen, it's more obvious if it's wrapped in plastic like described here:

How can you tell if the meat has been frozen before? Is there a specific color/taste/texture?

I see these packed meat labels in supermarket with production date and expiration date, but I'm not sure if production date actually means the date when the animal was slaughtered.

I also don't know how they store it. If production date is two days ago, it may have been frozen overnight.

Suggestion Box / Anti spam suggestion - moderate first post
« on: April 10, 2010, 05:17:46 am »

Assuming there aren't like 100 new users registering in every day, you could implement a "first post approval system". Once the first post is approved, the user gets white-listed and can post anywhere he/she wants.

A more refined version would be to limit number of posts in the first x days.

Ex: First day - 2-3 posts max; Second day - 4-5 posts max ; Third day - unlimited;

This could stop users that register quickly and make 20 advertising posts right away.

Health / Mini Beet Protocol - too good to be true?
« on: April 10, 2010, 03:16:40 am »
Have you heard of/tried this detox protocol? What do you think about it?

I listened to the related interview on oneradionetwork and it seems that this guy has answers for everything.

Interestingly, he mentioned a way to remove pesticides from vegetables and juices using H2O2. I wonder if it works better the than the Aajonus add honey/clay style.

Mini Beet Protocol MBP brief:
1. mix and drink:  beet juice with asparagus juice one cup each
2. after drinking it eat 3 apples and 2 carrots in that order

Claims:
- kills any fungus/candida, parasites in the body
- beets eat heavy metal calcium
- asparagus eats the stones in the body like kidney stones
- removes calcification from the body and strengthen the bones
- good against wrinkles and low hydrochloric acid
- if you combine it with MSM it will regrow hair

Health / Re: Appendix complications
« on: April 09, 2010, 05:15:43 am »

He mentioned it in his DVD lecture, not only chemicals but every substance that enters the body gets evaluated  and it's faster if you have this "database".

I wonder where did he got this idea, because some people say the appendix has no function at all.

282
The original health problems i have were caused by eating white flour,
white sugar, pasteurised dairy, breads and grains,
, chocolate, artificial sweetners, vegetable oils and mercury fillings.

And how did the mercury fillings taste?  ;)

I agree that what you listed are the so called "obvious offenders" here.

The steaming is not that bad compared to a well cooked one, but there is still some damage in that process. It's probably good as a transition process, if you need that.

AV also said that the appendix is like a library for all chemicals that enter the body and if you remove it, every chemical has to be re-evaluated every time. This takes 24 hours.

How long would you age the eggs?

I assume you don't plan on leaving them for 25 years.

We should make a wiki with animal parts and pictures so that people can identify them easily.

IF - Intermittent Fasting

We should also distinguish between Primal Diet and Paleo Diet since both could use the same acronym (PD).

Exercise / Bodybuilding / Re: Is exercise useless???
« on: March 31, 2010, 08:18:49 pm »

Depends on what you call exercise. In my opinion some movement is useful in order to keep the lymph flowing (since it does not have a pump, like the blood has).

Exercise requirements are different for each person and how to determine the level of activity required is a more interesting question.

Which vitamin c? the one synthesized or the natural one?

Well, at least some conditions can be expected from this cooked food, but I think it's far less than people on average diets.

^ so even hernias can be healed with a correct diet, cool.

297

I was about to do that, a few days ago, when I saw some live chickens being sold at the market. I did not buy any because I remembered I had enough beef in my fridge and I thought I would have to clean a lot of mess if I kill them in the kitchen.

This is a form of injury, due to weak tissues but I don't see how things could reverse completely to normal. Just like in the case of varicose veins, once they are overgrown, it would probably take a very long time for the body to replace those cells naturally.

^ 400g of protein a day? do you mean on average?

I believe that it can be trained to handle more.
