Get some KY Jelly, it may help re-assure her.
It's usually not enjoyable the first time for virgins.

Whoah, dont get too far ahead of this. ... I recently asked for her honest feelings about sex and she said she really wants to do it with me but she is afraid of the pain, which I completely understand. I may not know what it is like for a girl for the first time, but I can imagine that it may not be the best experience.

The first time you do anything it can leave an impression.  It can set the tone for the rest.  Maybe just keep playing with her, talking with her, massaging her gently and erotically, going out and having fun with her.  It might lead to her asking for it, when the time is right for her.  I don't think it has to hurt the first time or get overstretched or torn.

For birthing medical doctors teach that without episiotomy women rip nine times out of ten.  Midwives teach that massaging the perineum naturally allows for the perineum to stretch comfortably via hormones instead of cutting.  I think the same can go for first timers.  There must be massages and aromatherapy that's good to allay fears.  But a zillion people don't go through too much preparation, and we're still here and work through things.

I'm surprised at your recommendation for KY GS. Has anyone here ever tried coconut oil? I was a little late in the free thought on lube, but when my girly gets back from her trip, it's coming off the shelf! I've done a bit of research on it and it seems to work fairly well, though some have complained about grittiness.

Butter.  Butter/honey.  Why support the pharmaceutical companies too much?  Use a good juicer to make the coconut cream and it shouldn't be too gritty.

More like 15 nowadays. You won't find many virgins 18+ virgins at least not in the NL. Maybe it’s different in the us due to religious propaganda. Or maybe its just because the us is a fear driven society.

Lol I know, some children start with other children at nine even and are pretty mature sexually etc.  I just wanted to give a more legal age and plus the couple in question are twenty each.  I know of a couple who were twenty-four and twenty-nine their first time.  They got married and it lasted.  I would think most women are sixteen and boys are eighteen, but I don't know.

I tried some gel things that are supposed to spread, relax and pamper your toes.  They felt horrible.

    Welcome Kindred! :)

I know what you're doing is really great.  I'm just wondering as to what  your husband will do when he sees you two eating this way.  Have you ever mentioned the idea to him?  I know I was very concerned that my partner would be against it.  I told him anyway, he apparently didn't believe it.  Once I started eating it, it kind of scared the daylights out of him that the diet is so different from what the rest of America eats.  He still tells my son that meat is healthiest when it is cooked (doesn't make sense as Partner eats no meat). My son doesn't listen to that, as he can think for himself and learn from his own experience, which is that cooked meat is not healthful.  I hope your husband gets on the wagon by eating like you, or by being supportive of it.  It's nice to eat together comfortably.

My sex drive was rather low when I was young.  First of all, there's germ theory, so it was scary-  "what about possible diseases, what about germs"? and so forth.  Religion could make you wait too.  Women can be considered worthless if young, single, not yet married and non-virgin in some cultures.  I was very thin, so I think that my hormones may have been low due to barely any body-fat at all.  For me I think I had lack of family support etc too, so that's not very good for self esteem, which in turn may not get some women ready for sex.

Your girlfriend, you say she wants to give you pleasure, but not to keen on getting pleasure herself.  I'm sure there could be many reasons.  And, if she is not used to pleasuring herself, perhaps she like you say is just not at that stage yet.

Some children start masturbating at very young ages, have naturally strong sex drives (and opportunity) etc.  By the time they are twenty I'm pretty sure they'll be pretty sexually active, or at least more ready for it.  Like I said about me, I was very thin, and probably very low hormones.  You might guess I may have had a lot less experience getting pleasure than many others.  Then I was a young single mother (lol don't ask how that happened), and for one reason or another I kind of didn't wind up having any sex drive till close to thirty.  I think the sex drive not really getting going till that age is within normal range for women in our culture though.

Maybe she needs more time.  Or maybe she has psychological problems.  Or maybe you two are not compatible in that way.  It could be you two are having a very good and important relationship the way that it is now, and are not meant to marry and spend many years together.  Could be this is a learning experience with her, a beloved cherished one, and you two will wind up with others who you are meant more to be with for life.  I don't mean offense.  I would love to see what's best for you to happen.

Women are afraid of getting pregnant... because they don't have enough nutritional resources to count on.

Sad but true in many cases.  I was concerned about getting pregnant for a few years because my back soft tissue was so deteriorated (and meager) that I "knew" I'd be crippled by it, if I went through a pregnancy then.  Not all women are weaker than the last generation, it depends on what resources they had, luck, which genes they inherited and more.

Many men too may be too weak these days with today's diet and toxic environment to trust themselves to be father material.

.. In my generation of my family two of my female cousins have 3 sons each, two ex-girlfriends have 2 sons each. My mother actually had trouble conceiving me, having miscarriages until I was born. But that was almost 3 decades ago now...

My aunt by marriage had fertility problems, but eventually did make me cousins and they had children no problem.  My side was more fertile though, so that could account for the change.

.  She'll grow up paleo knowledgable, won't be surprised if she's raw paleo by that time.

Hopefully there will be paleo dating websites by that time. :)

Seriously!

I wish there were paleo dating services now.  It can really help if the person you date considers your diet at least normal.  Many people take diet as a joke and eat whatever's easiest.  My partner bought packaged bread with dairy in the ingredients and calls himself vegan for health.  I guess that's why women are usually better at running the home kitchen.

Wai Dieters / Re: Anyone here doing the wai diet?
« on: May 21, 2011, 06:57:21 pm »
.. the main foods of the Wai Diet are raw seafood and raw fruits, both raw and palaeo. The sugar is a demi-palaeo food since sugar is not completely banned by palaeodiets as a whole, re cane-sugar. It does not matter whether Wai recommends only table-sugar as that is only a variation thereof. ..

A young man said to me he's on the Wai Diet. He said he mostly eats egg yolks without the membranes that's around it, olive oil and orange juice.  He said the fish isn't necessary, that sugars and fats are most important on it etc but it's probably his interpretation.  I've read that land meats can be on the diet, but that it's so hard to find proper quality meats these days, that 99% of the people on it or so never touch land meats.

Yes, you can squeeze out the juice from sugar cane stalks, and it is a refreshing drink. ... There are juicers made for this purpose. Or, as mentioned, you can express the juice by chewing on the stalk.

Just wanted to mention, sugar cane (the plant that looks like a tall corn stalk) is not the same as cane sugar (the dehydrated ..).

Have you ever squeezed it? It's like a small tree.  The machine to extract juice is quite large, and you'd have to see (and hear) what it does to the cane.  Modern day corn is juicier.  Actually, sounds like a nice idea to try and run corn stalks through a cane juicer.  To me the juice tastes like "live" sugar water, rather than the dead stuff you'd get from mixing Sucanat(tm) with plain water.  I'm not sure I'd compare the flavor with tropical fruit juice.  Imo chewing it would be paleo.

just want to report that back fat got moldy in the freezer at -1F.  tough little buggers.  lots of tiny black dots on the surface.  i kept it in the plastic container with lid closed.

In paleo times it wouldn't have been kept in plastic, but then it wouldn't have been in an electric freezer either so that's not here nor there.  That temperature sounds too cold for the black spots to be microorganisms of something good, I think.  If you were making highmeat (which I understand you're not) I don't think the temperature is ever supposed to go below 38 degrees F.

I don't think acidophilus even SHOULD grow on high meat.  I also feel high meat works as the best prebiotic for me so far.

Primal Diet / Re: AV raw goat milk or cow milk?
« on: May 20, 2011, 05:57:04 am »
Anyone read the book called "Devil in the Milk: Illness, Health and the Politics of A1 and A2 Milk" by Keith Woodford? I havn't.

I'm just wondering if A2 milk (for example all goat's milk is apparently A2) might be healthier than A1. To me it would make sense, because even our paleolithic ancestors would have been exposed to some (albeit a very small percentage of diet) A2 milk occasionally in the udders of lactating female animals that they had preyed upon. So we should therefore be better adapted to A2 milk than A1.

Yes, I read it some time ago.  A2 would be more paleo for your given reason.  I'm not sure whether it's healthier though.  I do think it's healthier for some people.  Possibly A1 is healthier for others, idk.

General Discussion / Re: Why do you bother measuring CHOLESTEROL ?
« on: May 15, 2011, 08:44:18 am »
I get my lipid panel done which includes all the cholesterols to show medical doctors, family, SAD dieters, vegetarians, vegans and low fat dieters that eating my high saturated animal fat diet maintains and brings about perfect ratios of the lipids.  I don't get it done for my friends; because they bother to know me well enough that they know I wouldn't eat this if it wasn't good for me.  They also respect me to eat what I choose, whether some of them consider the same stuff healthy or not.  Of course I have family members too who are friends in that they respect that I have this choice in diet, or that it's healthy etc.

General Discussion / Re: Tales of the Raw Meat Eater
« on: May 10, 2011, 05:31:35 am »
If you have any tales of ... converting your friends--share them here!

==

After 2 days of this diet, I decided to jump on a special opportunity to share this new philosophy of eating ... A vegetarian for several years, my friend was turning 24 and I wanted to prepare a special meal ... for his birthday that would challenge him ... Furthermore, my friend is also about to leave the country for the first time to live in Taiwan temporarily and I wanted to help prepare him for experiences ... he may have to encounter (such as ... eating ... things that are abnormal for him).

I invited him over and we enjoyed some ... liver (a la  goodsamaritan's recipe) rib, sweetbreads, and cow tongue as the main course.

... at first sight of the liver he looked completely shocked and confused but once he tried the liver he enjoyed the flavor. He continued to try everything that I had prepared and asked for second servings of the liver!  :o

... In short, presentation is important--whatever your purpose be!  :)

I don't think he will become a raw meat eater, but now he seems completely comfortable with the idea of eating raw meat--... if the meat is ... safe.

I never thought of converting people, unless they have poor health and time is of the essence in changing because of that.  I have made comments to people in passing, and then they asked for my number or email and told me they started raw meat etc because of me.  I think I might become more proactive and find people nearby to convert.  It sounds like you two had fun.

It's exciting too, isn't it, when you first start eating this way and make all the connections in your head and the health of your body.  Uprooting a plant or having to eat so many plants that you make waste profusely is so different from eating a raw chicken that only ate bugs from your garden.  It leaves the earth in prettier condition, save a few bones.

Health / Re: preventative Antibiotics
« on: May 08, 2011, 11:26:47 pm »
Root canals are ticking time ... chose antibiotics you could offset the negative effects by using high meat.

Just a suggestion, does anyone else concur?

I would definitely choose highmeats over root canal.

Stay as far away from dentists and mainstream doctors as you can, they are death and poison, nothing more!

I would say that is true of the majority of them.  I still believe there are a  couple of them out there that will save your life if necessary in a pinch, and I don't just mean when they themselves had just caused the problem.

Bharminder, do you oil pull?  Do you clean your teeth?  If so, what do you use?  Commercial toothpastes have glycerin and other things that stop teeth from doing their normal job of self healing.

General Discussion / Re: Raw Trout?
« on: May 08, 2011, 11:03:34 pm »
I was talking with some non-raw eaters about fresh water fish etc last night.  They insisted raw fresh water fish will give a parasite and people just die from that, period!

Aajonus says not to eat it; because people don't heal as fast eating that as compared to other raw foods, if I recall correctly.

621
What percentage calorie-wise are you eating of raw fats with it?  Have you tried unheated honey with it?  How raw is it?  Has it been frozen or dried in some way or possibly otherwise preserved?

622
Let's see, she is infertile, painful menstruation, feels cold, no appetite.  Could her metabolism be worn out and she have poly cystic ovaries?  Could she cut out grains and grain fed cooked eggs from her diet?  Probably should do things to warm up too, maybe more exercise.
