General Discussion / Re: How much sleep do you get a night?
« on: September 19, 2009, 07:15:12 pm »
Heres my 2 cents on sleep:

1) I sleep 8 hrs per day
2) Theres a saying that the more healthy you are, the less sleep you need. I think this is true.
Because when you lie down, the blood circulates to the tonsils and your lymph nodes and gets detoxed.
THus if a person is sick, he really needs to lie down and sleep.
3) Yes, the hrs before midnight are important. They are for liver healing purposes.
4) It is also mentioned that one sleep in a totally dark environment. Your bedroom shd be private, dark &
    quiet.

This is my personal experience and conclusion after trying many diets.

(I currently have some autoimmune symptoms and im trying to improve my diet to cure that)

There is no one fit all diet. Everyone's bodies is different. Some people do better with a 100% vegetarian diet. Some more on meat and fats. Some can eat alot of fruits without side effects.

For me, im more of a meat/fat and some vege and fruits person. I cant take lots of fruits, its just not for me. And i have to take cooked meat. My body type isnt suitable for too much raw.

But one thing is certain, carbo is a sure no no for everyone.

Letifer, i also believe i have candida or yeast issues. Have you heard of Threelac?
Its a potent probiotic. I intend to try it soon.

If you say avoid fruits and vege/carbs, then what kind of food can you eat? You can only eat things like
meat, eggs, and some vege isnt it? How to survive like that? Can we ever beat candida?

While i did self experiment of eating only fruits and vegetable for only 3 days and felt weak, i was convinced humans are omnivores, however, a well known herbalist states the following:

1) Human's teeth are fruitarian teeth only
2) Our stomachs and intestines are designed as fruitarians

Info on diet and health are sometimes contradictory. Well, i guess every human is different. But one of his points seem to be correct. Our teeth are straight, not sharp and pointed. Any comments?

I was shocked when i heard of that. Experts in Spore said that bacteria Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the cause of this outbreak and this bacteria is mainly found in raw seafood. I am not doubting the benefits of eating raw. But how safe is raw seafood?

General Discussion / Is there such a thing called Autoimmune Disease?
« on: March 18, 2009, 10:23:30 am »
I havent done any survey but there are really some people who suffer from serious autoimmune diseases like SLE, Scleroderma, etc.

Im not sure whether they really improve their diet but some really not able to cure themselves and died eventually. Its quite scary.

I also suffer from some minor inflammation at this point in time, and hopefully it doesnt become anything systemic.

What do you guys think?

The Bible said that God created us to live in perfect health.

He has given us pure fruits, plants, herbs, animals which will be food for us.

Its sin that came in that corrupt the whole system. After sin and greed came in, diseases also came in and
"the fruit of all these sin is death".

Thanks everyone for comments.

I went back to check the Bible and yes, in Genesis 9, God added meat to the human diet!

Genesis 9:3
"Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things"

I personally believe all wisdom can be found in the Bible and yes, it indeed say that meat is allowed in human diet and even olive oil is also mentioned as the preferred oil. Amen.

Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you"

Sorry if i ask too many qns. I personally also like raw fish and eggs alot. But concerning above words which God said, He said food for us shall be plants and fruits which will sustain us in perfect health.
He didnt mention raw meat........

Any comments?

Rawzi,

I started eating raw swordfish, salmon, tuna. Seems not bad. Taste original.

Thanks for everyone's reply.

Yah i started eating raw 1 month ago, thanks to introduction by Goodsamaritan.
In fact i like it. I started with raw fish, raw eggs. Its true, original meat (without heating)
really taste better.

At first, i was reluctant to eat raw fish because it seems bloody, but after trying out real fresh and
good quality raw fish,i like it very much. I dont even need to add condiments. Just some lemons and herbs
with raw fish it taste great.

I havent changed my diet to 100% raw yet. Just perhaps 20%. Slowly i will do that.

Proponent of raw food: Enzymes in raw food is crucial for health. Cooking destroys the enzymes.

Opponent of raw food: When you eat raw food, do you think the enzymes is able to pass through the stomach where theres alot of stomach acid?? It would have long been deactivated by our stomach acid!

After some logical thinking, it seems what the opponent said is true?! Anyone has any comments?

Thanks for everyones opinion. Its an interesting discussion.

I dont think genetics play an important role. Genes only decide which disease a person gets upon interaction with toxins and the polluted environment.

Unfortunately, the human body is too complicated. But its indeed suspicious why the rates in Japan is so much higher than other countries.

To summarize, i do hope and believe that the reasons for that is

1) Japanese takes alot of rice polished from Talc
2) They also take alot of smoked, broiled meat

I hope the reason is not raw fish because im starting to include raw fish in my diet.
I hope God doesnt punish us for eating raw

Many other countries also drink lots of tea, like China, etc.

Japan is the only few countries who eat raw fish and other raw meat, thats why my friend
was suspicious over eating raw.

When i heard this from my friend, i was shocked. I went to verfiy, its indeed true.

The population of Japan is lesser than United States, but cancer for stomach rates is 10 times
higher.

My friend said this is due to Japanese eating raw meat. What do you guys think?
