General Discussion / Dealing with Society
« on: July 14, 2010, 09:55:15 pm »
For those who have been consuming only raw have you dealt with the outside world? Outside of language, Agriculture/cooking is the main element that creates culture. Dedicating oneself to only consuming raw food and being rewarded with the gift of an energetic healthy intelligent youthful life in the end seems worth it to be a social outcast. Constantly being given the look like your crazy as well as the constant bullshit arguments over the issues of "food safety" just sounds like its going to get old real fast. There are just too many people in this world that have been so socialized into the current paradigm that they can't think "outside the box" enough for the raw food life to be the logical cure to all diseases. At first I thought eating raw meat behind closed doors and then having this alternative "public" life would be ok. But now I can't get over the horrible way i feel after consuming anything that has gone through some kind of cooking process before it gets to my mouth. I feel like I am literally swallowing poison and I am the only one at the dinner table that knows the harms of what we are consuming. This has nothing to do with vanity, something people commonly mistake for a raw foodist motive. Its only got to deal with the fact of how much better I feel consuming something that has life in it.  Why can't society realize that human beings are animals? Can't they just look around and notice we are the only species that needs to prepare and cook our food? Its quite simple people, LIFE LIVES OFF LIFE!

Health / why mixing raw and cooked meat is bad?
« on: June 28, 2010, 01:44:47 am »
Can someone explain to me why mixing raw and cooked meat is bad? I did this 2 days ago and my stomach has hurt every time i've aten since and has given me the runs (however these have stopped since 2 days ago). Does anyone know how to remedy the situation? Will it go away in a few days? The pain seems to be Left to Center-Upper Abdomen. Almost a indigestion/bloating pain. It just stays there  till I eat something or drink something but comes back quickly. I've tried pepto bismol and Tums, it hasnt done anything. Maybe its gastritis? Could it be my liver that hurts?

General Discussion / Raw Poultry
« on: June 28, 2010, 12:42:48 am »
Does anybody here eat raw poultry? Im not sure what to do on this one. I'm considering it but I'm not sure why it wouldn't be if everyone here can agree on the fact that the bacteria/parasites on raw meat is over exaggerated. Raw goose or duck might be first attempt.

General Discussion / bad mistake
« on: June 27, 2010, 07:28:56 pm »
So a few days ago I made the mistake of combining raw chunks of beef and cooked sausage in my stomach. For the last 2 days i have felt pain in my stomach and occasionally get the runs. It seems to feel better when I eat, which for the last 2 days has been strictly (at separate times of the day) raw egg yolks, some raw beef, yogurt, and some bananas. I took some pepto as well. But a little bit after I eat, I begin to acquire gurgling noises in my stomach, followed by a bloating feeling and pain. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this or will go away on its own? Could it possibly be a parasite? If it was, how does one get rid of a parasite?

General Discussion / Wholesale meat

When you guys buy wholesale/large quantities, do you freeze most of your meat and defrost enough meat each day for each day? Or do you get enough to sit in your fridge before it goes bad? How long does it take for meat to be uneatable while in the fridge?

General Discussion / Vitamin C vs Uric Acid?
« on: June 26, 2010, 09:09:46 pm »
I heard some where that the uric acid found in red meat can supplement vitamin c that is not found in animal sources. Is this true? Also, doesn't high levels of uric acid (found in meat) cause gout?

« on: June 24, 2010, 11:11:13 pm »
Do you guys eat meat right out of the fridge or do you let it sit out for while? Is it dangerous to do that? Also what is "high" meat and what is the point of eating it vs just raw meat out of the fridge?

« on: June 22, 2010, 07:04:36 pm »

After reading this, , I'm concerned about causing a biotin deficiency if i eat raw eggs everyday. What do you guys think I should do? Is it necessary to consume the egg white?

Welcoming Committee / Hello ALL - NEED HELP
« on: June 21, 2010, 11:14:47 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forums and I need some advice. I've recently heard about eating only raw meat/eggs by Aajonus Vonderplanitz though I haven't . Can someone lead me to source of how to properly eat an all raw meat diet without doing damage to myself? I read the book Primal Blueprint, so I have some info as to why you shouldn't eat grains. But I'm looking for something to explain the raw meat diet and how to do it. Particularly, how much meat and fat to actually eat a day.
