General Discussion / Re: Regular Mainstays?
« on: July 10, 2012, 08:37:46 am »
I can't eat too many eggs. I love them, and I have a good source of some seriously bad-ass eggs (family raises them in WI), but honestly I can't eat them for more than about 5 days in a row. I get totally sick of them. I can go back to them after a few days with no harm done.

When I want to eat, my first thought is beef, any cut. It's hard to get organs atm so I'm all over the map otherwise.

DD is almost for sure a troll gc, a vegan flavored troll!

Not even fermentation can make 'vegan' taste good.

On the flip side, they're easy to catch.

I suspect this is the video you're both referring to:

Human Planet- Stealing Meat from Lions

That's the one! If these guys do it now, there's no reason to think they wouldn't have done it before!

Soft and gushy?

That sounds horrible, actually... haha

I remember seeing a video of three African hunters walking right up to a pride of lions, hacking a leg off their kill, and traipsing off with it while the lions just watched. The looks on their faces.. it was "Wha? Did that really just happen?"

The hunters were interviewed about it and they said that you can't make a habit of it because you don't want the lions to realize what's going on, and that you can't walk up to them with any hint of fear - for the hunter, it has to be something you just do because you can, and you have to believe that the lions can do nothing about it.

Priceless.

EDIT: As I was typing this, Ferocious posted his ;)

Sounds like a plan; I'm into it. Not sure when I'll be prepared, but we'll do it.

The fat you had gc was 100% grass fed, susie doesn't buy anything less as far as I know.

I know Susie buys grass-fed, though I was a little jealous when she said YOU got the organs... ;P

It's not always yellow; I've never seen it yellow except in pictures on the web. It is also true that many butchers don't know the real differences in the meat... hell, I can NAME one right now! I went to high school with him. They cut, and that's all many know. By no means is that intended to be a blanket statement on all (or even a majority of) butchers. Most of them do not, however, carry grass-fed and/or grass-finished, even those that know the difference. They're a business and expensive meat will sit in the case longer.

But finishing does matter. There are also farmers who claim to sell grass-fed but finish on grain for the last 6-8 months before slaughter. This beef is equivalent to grain-fed in terms of nutritional value. There are also farmers that claim that all cattle are grass-fed if they've ever eaten a green thing in their lives. I wish that weren't true but I've seen it personally.

exactly

My experience too. Very sad.

To this day I have NEVER seen the yellow fat. Apparently "grass fed" also includes "grass fed and grain finished." Finishing matters.

Flax oil is roughly 5:1 O3:O6.

But it contains no DHA - is all EPA Omega 3s. I stopped taking it and went back to fish oil.

I was under the impression there's no veg source of DHA.

I never could drink distilled water. It's always too flat.

Dorothy, you mean raw-al's video was fake? Oh, how disappointing! I would love to see a woman with 3 genuine breasts. I am sure that some of those women would have those breasts equidistant from each other, and not just under another breast. After all, while some men have extra testicles which are malformed or joined or only partial etc., there really are some men with  extra, wholly separate, fully functioning testicles. So, it's reasonable to assume that some women might have favourable mutations, too.

Like the woman in the UK with two completely formed and functional reproductive tracts?

Two of everything, no joke. She and her husband used to go to UK sex clubs... which one(s) I couldn't tell you, but I'm sure they were a star attraction. She said she spent on average 20 days a month menstruating.

Cesarean births should be an option only for emergencies. But nowadays they are pushed on many parents. I agree they can save lifes though. My sons heartbeat dropped down to 50 during my nearly 43 week check up, I never went into labor, he had to come out right this second.

My son is not circumcised. I found this video http://youtu.be/UAGNnqyNidY
and it broke my heart. I don't even need to know any scientific facts about pros and cons. I only need to know that nature intended men to have a foreskin and that I could never see my baby getting hurt like that.
I hate it when pro circs try to argue with benefits.

Me too, thx for the support.

And I agree with Thoth, you got a fierce lookin' crew there!

Just bought 8 kg of fatty grassfed mince for $12.95kg.

On first read, I saw "fatty grassfed mice"

It was momentarily awesome.

She was 16. Why wouldn't she find another way to get food? Was she as brainwashed as her mother? At 16 I would not have allowed myself to starve.

This doctor needs his license revoked and criminal charges filed - something related to misuse of good faith.

I asked my dad why it was done. He said the doctor insisted, and that it was cleaner. In Detroit in the early 70's, nearly ALL boys were circumcised. I am not Jewish or Muslim, never have been, never will be. I was very angry because that should have been MY choice, and no one else's.

If there was no reason for foreskin, it would not have developed. Cutting it off is stupid. If I have any sons they will be 100% whole when they leave the hospital (or birthing yurt, or kiddie pool, or bathtub, or whatever).

Cesarean births at least have a valid reason for being as breech births can kill but circumcision is freaktarded.

That might be a personal opinion, but it pissed me off at age 15 when I realized that not everyone had a scar.

Quote
Fifteen of the children were born in the past three years as a result of one experimental programme at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of St Barnabas in New Jersey.

So, the catholics are in on this? I thought that was a catholic hospital, and that they were staunchly opposed to eugenics and genetic modification of humans.

I wonder why we're only hearing about this now that they're over a year old - at least two years according to this quote.

Time to arm.

Probably. I noticed that when my life gets stressful, I start screwing up above the neck more often. I lose my ability to concentrate and get very ADD - can't focus on just one item. It's almost like multitasking takes something away from more basic cognitive abilities.

Good thing my business foray failed so quickly - I never would have found this forum being unable to spell "meete" and "paylio," heh.

« on: June 26, 2012, 09:07:42 am »
Back to the subject - I would like to add here that we call coffee "angry juice" in our house. I can't believe how many raw foodists still drink coffee - and a raw vegan on coffee has GOT to be dangerous without much to ground out that adrenal energy. Doesn't matter what I eat - if coffee is involved - better to escape any room I'm hangin' in.

My dad going vegan is one of the reasons why I left his house a few months ago. He turned... vicious. He was up all night, on psychoactive drugs and sleep aids (diagnosed ADHD, I'm sure he should've been diagnosed vegan, might've been more accurate... and the sleep aids didn't work), eating ALL of the time, and generally incredibly irritable. He was a completely different guy once he left meat and fat behind. One of us was going to get hurt so I stopped arguing with him and my wife and I left. He drank weak coffee all day every day.

He's the entire reason why I have to approach any and all contact with vegans / vegetarians wearing my mental plate armor and my asbestos underwear.

Dude the mouth on the panda is shooting the rainbow, not the belly button, don't you know your own avatar? lol  What is that pic from anyhow?

From somewhere on the web. I had issues deciding on an avatar. I saw this and thought it was way cooler than some crazy homicidal unicorn. Thus a crazy homicidal panda killing with love.

His mouth, bellybutton, whatever... they both did the same job at one time or another!

I'll add my bias... "A driven human being ran away from home because he had a fight with his father and ended up in China.. where he died alone!"

With nothing but a whisky jar full of dimes, a mangy dog, and a deed to an oil rig worth 22 billion dollars!

(I shouldn't make fun of that. It actually happened to some distant cousins.)

My experiment: I forced fed myself 250g of pasta without salt and tomato sauce with lots of fried olive oil twice a day for a week, no insulin resistance, inflammed my aorta(heart), not my pancreas.

How would aortic inflammation be measured?

Maybe just HUNGRY!

When eating raw vegan or fruitarian without enough fat I've noticed that people have to eat almost constantly and that's what they report too. When I was raw vegan I ate lots of fat (apparently enough for me) so didn't need to eat much but the ones that don't eat enough fat constantly are eating to the point where it's scary.

I had that problem when I was eating vegans too. When the apocalypse comes, I'll skip 'em. They're more like a dessert than a meal and I'll be needing something that'll stick to my ribs.

LOL. Sabertooth - I think maybe Freelee and DR should get on their bikes and try to get as much of a head start as they can!

Not on their diets. I'll catch them at the end of the block on my own feet.

On a more serious note, for Inger - it takes time. I've been through it and I'm certain others here have, too. There are lots of reasons why marriages break up. But we all do eventually heal, and when that time comes, watch out!  -d
