Isn't it your pro-inflammatory diet which is preventing your rotator-cuffs from recovering? Not that I know what your diet is, but I'd think that'd be the problem..

What I think helps with the focus is every once and a while get in a real fistfight with a friend just to get used to being hit. Then if you get hit in the street it wouldnt even throw you off. It works for me, as a matter of fact, I can contribute much of my confidence to not caring about being hit.
