try some BCAA's or amino acid supplements. (like Purple Wrath,etc.) that will greatly reducw DOMS.

I don't take synthetic supplements, I'm sure I can get plenty of amino acids from food.

I eat about 1 oz of pure fat before I exercise and I eat anytime after as my body tells me. Sometimes right away, sometimes several hours later. This works for me.
