I agree.  Raw meat doesn't cause gout.  Now take some frozen offal, and you'll get a problem!
What? How come? Can someone explain this to me? Aren't there numerous folks here who for better or worse only have access to frozen organs?

Frozen liver doesn't always cause me to have gout, but if it's calf liver, it does. No problem with deer liver, though.

Baffling, still curious why.. is it a higher purines content? In calf livers, but only specifically in defrosted ones?
