I had two pygmy goats that I was using for milk to feed my children. They dried up and ran out of hay and it was around the time I happened to be studying Paleo diets, so I slaughtered them for food.
I remember that at first I tried a diet of cooked goat with salads ,vegetables, olive oil, and yogurt. Its about all I could eat without spiking my blood sugars. It still didn't help my stomach pains and flare ups of chronic fatigue much.
Eventually I found this raw paleo forum and went totally Raw.
I cut out most vegetables and vegetable oils as well as other non paleo foods, and began eating a diet of mostly meat and animal fat. The results were immediate. My stomach pain, sugar spikes, and poor digestion went away within the first couple of weeks. I began to have more energy than I knew what to do with. The keto adaption process was fairly easy for me, and I had no issue with reducing my carb intake to about 30 a day.
My depression resolved along with the other issues. Once I was no longer in pain and my body was no longer being damaged by food intolerance the depression vanished. I often wonder how many of the millions who suffer from depression could be helped by adopting this diet.
About the second month into the diet I began to use highmeat, and I found that it boosted my moods and feeling of well being to a new level, it may be something you would like to try once you get set into a Raw Paleo Diet.
Before I found an unlimited source of free lamb fat, I was having some good results using bone marrow, along with eating fatty beef ribs
Raw fat is by far better than cooked, there should be no reason to cook it
