Guys, is Barefoot Correct in Describing Pregnancy Consequences for Men?

Just perusing the forum of my old teacher Barefoot Herbalist MH and I came across a pregnancy discussion.

A young man got his young girlfriend pregnant. 

This is about USA family court and how men are enslaved by the system.

Is this TRUE in the USA?  Is this also true in other European countries?

We don't have this in my country.

I've never gotten a woman pregnant here in the US so can't speak from experience, but I think the description you've been given is a little extreme. I look forward to reading what others with more direct experience might say.

The real problem, nowadays, is that womens' rights have been catered for, but mens' rights have not. I have often thought that, for perfect equality between the sexes, we would need a foolproof method for male contraception without any side-effects, as well as a law forcing all babies born to have their DNA tested so as to avoid any paternity fraud. Oh, and another law making sure that any woman falsely accusing a man of rape be jailed with a prison-sentence equivalent to those given to rapists.

I think when the government gets involved is when the real problems start. Government provides welfare so the mother doesn't need the father, government allows easy divorce so mother can leave the father and has easy access to at least half but most likely more of the couples wealth, Oprah type shows and hollywood movies portray divorce porn.

I thoroughly agree with Tyler's statement about false accusations from women re: abuse, sexual misconduct etc. If the case is found to be false, the woman should be liable for the same jail or remedy that the guy would have suffered as this type of accusation is far too common, especially at divorce time. The statistics are staggering as to this lying.

When I separated, my ex went to one of these women's shelters and the women there essentially prepared her for the legal system, by briefing her on how to accuse the ex of every conceivable thing, just to make herself look like a victim so as to get a favourable financial settlement out of the system.

These women's shelters are infested with men haters. They have managed to gather government funding by lying about who is in them "for their own safety".

They carry on advertising campaigns in public that are absolutely pathetic. The campaigns are designed to make all men look like potential "wife beaters".

One campaign in the US showed a young boy with a caption under it that said something along the lines of "I wonder if I will turn out to be a wife abuser."

Imagine being the young boy who had his picture taken for that commercial. These fem-Nazis need to be stopped by society as they are attempting to mould the world into their own perverse ideology.

GS, the wording of the passage has many inaccuracies. For example, the cops don't serve papers and haul your butt into court on civil/family matters. While family court procedures vary from state to state, the general idea is that both parents have a financial responsibility to provide for a child of their union. DNA/paternity testing is used for that a lot nowadays.

Here in California, a parent of either gender who is providing for a child can petition the court to require a support contribution from the other parent; the amount each parent must contribute depends on their relative earning capabilities. Very often, when the parents do not live together, they feel that they are having the lifeblood sucked out of them when they have to make support payments... hence, the language of the passage is understandable. I have heard of cases where a vindictive parent with custody of a child will prevail in a child-support case and get a rather hefty monthly settlement by reasoning that the child needs such-and-such a house in such-and-such neighborhood and such-and-such fashion clothing, etc.

The main points I would make is the (1) it's not just a woman-stickin'-it-to-the-guy thing  because it applies equally to whichever parent has custody, and (2) most often, child support looks out for the needs of the child being met by both parents.

Well, it is still usual in the UK to give custody to the mother. Only very recently has there been a change proposed in the law, forcing both parents to have joint shared custody rather than just the mother.

The case of Paul McCartney's divorce is the litmus test of this theory eveheart.

The woman that he married, suddenly needs 40 million dollars to live on after she lived with him on a very rustic farm, where he *surprise surprise* spent his days composing music.

This has nothing to do with reality, this 'is' women learning how to work the legal system for their own ends. This trend is spinning out of control. Judges are just doing whatever they bloody well please. Fem-Nazis have taken over the courts. In Canada judges are required to take annual training and part of their training is conducted by *surprise surprise* fem-Nazis.

In the US men are regularly handed these judgements which basically give their wives unbelievable judgements and when the economy takes a nosedive like it did in 2008 and the guys loses his job, he cannot appeal to the courts to have his judgement reduced, so you have guys that have to pay support of more than they make, who finally just end up in prison where they do nobody any good. All the while the witch he married sits around and complains about how he is a bum and tells the children "your dad is a bum and so stay away from him".

It is called "Parental Alienation" and there are many forms that this takes. There are movies that have been done about this, where women get so angry that they go to incredible lengths to ostracize their ex from the children. The best estimates are that 85% of alienators are women.

It is the women in most cases "sticking it to the guy." My "ex" used to send me terrible letters and arrange so they arrived on my birthday. I could tell you many stories of things she has done intentionally for effect. Women tend to be cerebral and when they are angry, this turns very bad, as when their friends advise them to get revenge they start scheming or ruminating. This can turn into a game of dream up whatever will hurt someone and the consequences become collateral damage. While I do firmly believe that karma will be the result, the problem is that children are the collateral damage. This damage can go on for generations.

There is a petition with the United Nations right now to have parental alienation outlawed and have the participants put in jail or forced to take treatment, as it does irreparable damage to children. It is one of the worst forms of child abuse. It is pure and simple revenge.
