Vegetable Cellulose

I read that humans cannot properly digest it. Which is why many stay away from vegetables.

Is that including roots, like carrots, turnips, rutabaga?

To prevent your tummy to swell; don’t consume any beans, vegetables or grains. However, some vegetables you may find easy to digest, which allows you to eat these.

I usually do stay away from veggies, except leafy greens, because of what the Wai diet says about them... but I don't know, I'm starting to think maybe they are beneficial. Or they can be.

I got a strange craving for broccoli out of the blue the other night, so I bought some and I've been eating it. Maybe it was the high vitamin C levels in the broccoli that I was craving?

Vitamin C is only found in certain glands like adrenals, not in muscle meat.
i like broccoli, nothing  -v about it

It's not all about taste, it's about nourishment, digestion, toxins, gas, your small and large in testins

...and it is winter in Switzerland!!!!

I made my self very ill eating raw vegan - believe me their is more to health than just posting down raw "material".

Cellulose is for the most part indigestible, but whether it's bad or not for it to go through your system is a debate.

Secondly, most foods with cellulose also have other nutrients that ARE digestible. I often see people say that broccoli is completely indigestible raw because of the cellulose. Well...the cellulose molecules are indigestible, but when you chew it you liberate plenty of juice with some digestible carbs, proteins and fats as well as vitamins, minerals, enzymes and water. Whether you'd be better off eating something without cellulose can be debated, but to say a food is completely indigestible because it contains fiber is wrong, it's the fiber that is indigestible.

I did hear that humans can digest a little cellulose in one of the intestines. Not anything to worry about, it's the action of some microorganism I believe, not adding significantly to the nutrients you can get.
