Hake Fish Fillet
« on: February 18, 2009, 07:34:12 am »
I got a 9oz one from whole foods and ate it fresh. best darn raw animal food i tasted so far.
I recommend it to beginners. Anyone ever try hake? Test much better than salmon to me. Any other tasty fish you tried? I found out that pre frozen fish is horrible.... Perthaps thats why the hake fillet was good, because it was fresh. Oh, and it was cheap. 5 to 6 dollars a pound.

I will have to look for that tomorrow at my Wholefoods, never tried it before. That's where I get my fish too. The Chilean Sea Bass was really good the other day. It actually had a pretty firm texture for raw. I just had a 1.13oz fillet of coho salmon. I eat a lot of salmon for the omega 3s. I got a couple of 6oz Halibut fillets I will probably have tomorrow afternoon. I was making a lot of Swordfish Ceviche with grapefruit juice in January because the grapefruits are supposed to be really good in January, probably still are.

Thats how the hake was, firm but easy to chew.
