Off Topic / Fake Laughers
« on: July 06, 2013, 07:13:47 pm »
Years ago I used to just ignore fake laughers.

Now that I'm old and cranky they annoy me.

I notice them more and more are they unhappy? pretenders? sociopaths?

The fake laugh is so obvious does anyone else notice?

The article says she would be considered plus sized by todays standards but she was actually tiny (22 inch waist as someone mentions in the comments)  Another myth repeated until people believed it.

"    Breakfast: She would warm a cup of milk on the hot plate in her room, then crack two raw eggs into it and whip the whole thing up with a fork.

    Lunch: None.

Dinner: Marilyn would stop at the market near her hotel on the way home to pick up steak, lamb or liver, which she would broil and eat with 4 or 5 raw carrots.

Evening snack: She would stop at a local ice cream parlor for a hot fudge sundae, saying, “I’m sure that I couldn’t allow myself this indulgence were it not that my normal diet is composed almost totally of protein foods.”

General Discussion / Late onset dyslexia
« on: June 30, 2012, 01:12:26 am »
Over the last few days I've had trouble reading/spelling
I will read a sentence and get the letters jumbled and read something different, for instance I will read 'sport' when it actually is reports. This has been happening for two days.
Then I was trying to write 'tall' I  wrote 'dall', and stared at it and couldn't work out what was wrong. Then I came up with 'fall'.  All the while I was saying' tall' in my head but couldn't spell it. This has been happening all day.

My vision had been weird too, one eye has been like a kaleidoscope

I've started a business so there is the added pressure of that. Hopefully this is the cause.

General Discussion / Eye Contact
« on: June 10, 2012, 08:56:17 am »
When I eat 100% RPD I find I will maintain eye contact with people, sometimes I notice  it with someone I'm working for or in the past my boss until they look away before I do and realise I should of looked away first.

It's pretty rare someone look you in the eye when you speak to them.

Interesting some cultures don't look at each other in the eye, what does this mean?

Off Topic / Dropbox Alternative
« on: May 15, 2012, 09:58:35 pm »
Hey Freaks!

I use Dropbox for my business does anybody know a file sharing service which is better? cheaper? free? more space?

Something that a few employees can use. As we are a startup keeping costs low is important at the moment.

Looking forward to some good info.

My Dad phones me.....probably................twice a year?

Scares the crap out of me, I'm waiting for him to tell me someones died. Just had an uncomfortable anxiety driven/awkard conversation where i swear he was going to tell me someone had died in a fireball.

I'm going to have to let him know. Teach him how to text...

Health / Dry Cracked Heels
« on: February 16, 2012, 06:51:32 pm »
I use glycerine now and my cracked heels are a thousand times better. Glycerine actually pulls moisture out of your skin.

My heels would crack and bleed my whole life, nothing worked not even zero carb. I would sand paper them down and they would crack and bleed half a day later. Now they are soft and I can wear flip flops without bandaging up my heels what a relief.

Not very paleo but hey

Off Topic / Smell from old fridge
« on: January 20, 2012, 10:53:22 pm »
I moved an old fridge that was sitting outside my work to throw out in the bulk rubbish collection that is happening in my suburb. It was a small fridge and chucked it in the back seat of my car. I threw the refrigerator on the verge for rubbish collection when I got home.

Since a few hours ago my car is smelling worse and worse. The smell left behind is so horrific that I dry reach. I can't even open my car door. The smell is a cross between chemicals and vomit. I feel panicky when I smell it.

What the hell is it? My brother dry reached when he smelt it as well.

Hot Topics / Faecal Transplant

I guy in Australia does these to cure  Ulcerate colitis and other bowel disorders.

Desperate people are doing their own homemade version to cure Ulcerate colitis and IBS. It's cheap and seems to work, people even mention their new poos smell like their donors and other improvements in things such as skin.

Off Topic / New study on gut permeability (leaky gut) and depression
« on: December 19, 2010, 09:07:56 pm »
From what I understand, strong immune response from bacteria passing through a permeable gut can be used as a diagnostic tool to determine depression at a 90% accuracy.

This is a huge study.

Off Topic / Study on Testosterone increase just from pretending
« on: December 12, 2010, 01:31:55 pm »
Interesting article about increasing testosterone by just faking confident body language.

Interestingly (as I've read before) bosses/business owners who are in positions of power have higher levels of testosterone (and lower cortisol) than sub ordinates in what are considered to be less stressful positions. I back this up with my own anecdotal experience.

Not too many fruit or veg on the dinner plates, lots of preserves, meat, bread. The kids don't have shoes on, rationing?

Off Topic / Phthalates how can I avoid them?
« on: August 14, 2010, 10:40:06 am »
Phthalates how can I avoid them? ladies if you were pregnant would you take special steps before or after conception to avoid these?

All my meat is wrapped in soft plastic. I can either forget about it and just eat RPD or work out a way to reduce it. I could imediatley bring my meat home and wash it.

The only way to totally avoid them would be to have my own farm. butcher in the dirt and just wash the dirt off.

Thoughts?

ps phthalates are endocrine disrupters or 'gender bending' chemicals.

Health / Not washing
« on: August 09, 2010, 06:14:00 pm »
I find I'm washing less and less with time. Once in two days or more when I feel clean. My showers are short anyway and cool. I do surf which cleans.

I feel better when I've got a layer of oil and/or I've been out in the sun.

What do you think?
