I'd be more worried about chemicals on the floor.

Travelled through woods and countryside for 4-5hrs in a mix of walking, running and scrambling etc.. Was the best I've felt in ages.

I found it really easy to peel kiwis when they were properly ripe, and I didn't enjoy eating them unless they were very soft anyway. I'm going to try and get hold of spleen and pancreas soon, is that what you mean by sweetbread?

It's easy to get on television. You can easily get on breakfast news, daytime tv, a chat show etc to talk about eating raw paleo..

I got some tripe today. It was in the raw meat section of Morrisons; it said on the packet that it was 100% tripe; and that it was prepared using only traditional methods.

I had assumed that it would only have been flushed thoroughly with water, and that it would be uncooked, but I'm not sure now after reading some comments about tripe on the internet.

Oh for fuck sake. Apparently you can only get tripe that's been BLEACHED, and PRE-BOILED... WHAT THE FUCK!? JESUS CHRIST I've been fucking poisoned wtf??? BLEACH ON FOOD!? COOKED MEAT IN THE RAW SECTION WTF!?

CUNTS!

Could I sue them? That'd be awesome.

How are you finding the whole cross fit social thing? I'm a little put off as I've never been a 'go team!' type person. I don't really get that excited that easy although it be great to be really pushed. See how far I can really go. I also like being totally exhausted.

You should train hard to become the best out of your group, then they won't expect you to socialise and will be happy with you whatever you do.

wtf those are the opposite of paleo. More like toxic psycho art work. Maybe artwork by a paleo person who was rejected from their tribe, ate some poisonous plants because they couldn't hunt, and plotted to kill the tribe leader while he was sleeping!

I never do that and I doubt our primate and hominid ancestors did (except if the nuts had fallen into a pond, lake or stream) since they hardly new about enzymes inhibitors (lucky guys!). I don’t think the nowadays-remaining hunter-gatherers soak them either.

Michael said that when squirrels bury their nuts and leave them for later it's like soaking, and I think he said that humans learnt to do the same by watching them. What I wasn't sure of though: Are they buried in the shell or out of the shell?

General Discussion / Re: Adrenal Glands
« on: January 15, 2011, 05:26:40 am »
I don't know what a 'regular gland' looks like because I've never seen anything identified as a gland. However by that description I think I may've eaten one before from some suet. Are they connected to anything by blood vessels or whatever? Could you please take some pictures of glands(of any/varying types) for me so I know what they look like? It'd be much appreciated. How close are the adrenal glands to the kidneys? If I got 2 whole lamb's kidneys from the butcher, which had all the suet and the two kidneys were even still connected to each other, would they definitely have had the adrenal glands?

The only pictures I can find on the internet are diagrams like the following, and I've never seen anything like this on a kidney..

Also Neone, have you seen the gooey sacks in fat? I've seen them in leg fat, shoulder dat, kidney fat... They contain some 'liquidy' gooey stuff... It's always like an off whitish yellow sort of colour.

The butcher told me he gets in sweetbreads, and pointed to around behind his jaw, but said he doesn't get them in often and that the animals only have them in spring/summer or something..

personally I use a few egg whites on occasion in my hair, and don't see any difference in pleasure eating the yolks then, only experience the nuisance of trying to separate them.

Just as you say maybe a large influence on hannibal's opinion is taste, perhaps a large influence on your opinion is that you find separating them a nuisance. When I ate some raw egg yolks I had no problem. I cracked open the egg, tipped it out in to my hand and the yolk sat there whilst the white glooped away, it just seemed awkward to me to try eat the egg white, and not really that appealing. I haven't eaten that many though, so I don't really know anything about it. I just noticed you saying you found it a nuisance to separate them.

You must be good at kipping to do 100 pull-ups. I've used them to do clapping pull-ups and to change grips from palm-in to palm-away but I've never been able to use them for high reps. Not that I've tried hardly at all, and it was on awkward inappropriate bars when I did try.

What do the adrenal glands actually look like? Are they quite obvious, and attached directly to the kidney? Or do they just 'float' in the suet with no obvious connection to anything? Do they vary much in size?

Past few days I've seen white tape worm like segments in my poop.  They're not moving, and they are segments, something like 1.3 inches long, maybe 2 or more in a formed stool.  So maybe I have an old tape worm that just died?

That doesn't mean it died(as far as I know...)... There are eggs inside the sections of the tape-worm's body, and it detaches some segments to continue the cycle so they will be eaten by another animal.

Some of the eggs will go out your backside to be eaten from the ground, and some will get into your bloodstream, and settle in cysts in your body tissues waiting until you are eaten or go into the ground.

Health / Re: To those who are/were on the Warrior Diet..
« on: January 14, 2011, 12:06:57 pm »
Overeat doesn't mean you should be force-feeding yourself; it doesn't mean you should be trying to eat more than you feel like; or as much as possible... You should just naturally feel like eating more if you've had nothing the rest of the day. It's just so that people don't fast the whole day, and then try and restrict themselves to a normal 3 meals a day size-portion... It's overeating because you're eating more than you would if you'd had several other meals that day. You should still only eat what's comfortable.

However, I find that the "overeating" period is really no good for me. Actually, I think this may be one flaw of the warrior diet.

That doesn't make sense. If you eat less the rest of the day you have to eat more during that period or you will have an overall drop in caloric intake. It can't be the one flaw. If that's a flaw, then the whole thing is flawed.

I don't know why but many of the people I've met with gifts who were men/boys were the eldest.

Maybe because they get used to entertaining their younger siblings, so they continue to entertain people with their stories?

SAs long as boars are not eating meat scraps there isn't much worry for parasites.

wtf?... wtf? How do you think the animal which became the meat scraps got the parasites eh? *facepalm*

And yeah, wild boar meat is red. Wild bird meat is also red.

I would draw the line at eating urban foxes given that their main food-intake comes from rubbish-bins, but anything from the open country is fine for me.

Afaik that's the reason why pigs are not halal or kosher, because they used to live off of garbage in the streets.
