Off Topic / more keto questions, sorry
« on: September 25, 2010, 05:08:10 am »
so here's my story, i LOVE being in full blown ketosis bec. i am untouchable (feels like it at least).  so much energy, so much loving feelings, etc.  i can only assume that i'm in ketosis bec. i physically feel the euphoria.  then comes the days that i eat a bit more veg and some fruit.  no good, start feeling sleepy and foggy.  i asked in another post how many carbs are needed to stay into ketosis so i don't have to go through this anymore.  after my 'carb days' it takes me back to square one and i feel anxious, tired, grouchy for about a day or so then BAM i'm back baby!  am i not keto adapted even though i've been low carb for awhile?  and did anyone notice the nervousness/anxiety at first?  really stinks right about now, gotta keep myself busy.  hopefully this will be the last keto question i'll have to ask! l)
thanks guys

Off Topic / dairy withdrawal and mucus
« on: August 31, 2010, 02:06:39 am »
i have given up my raw dairy about 2 weeks ago and i of course went through some discomfort.  my question is how long does it take to rid my system of the excess mucus?  i still have post nasal drip from it.  i know it's the dairy bec. this is the only time i experience excess 'slime'.  will the dairy proteins remain in my body for awhile longer?  just curious if there has been any studies done on the length of time dairy stays in one's body.   :)

Primal Diet / got gas?
« on: August 30, 2010, 12:23:12 pm »
for the past 2 days of eating raw meat i have been a bit gassy and i did not have 1 bm today (very strange for me).  is this something to be expected when first starting out?  anyone else have these issues at first that can ease my mind (and belly)?  i thought raw meat was s'posed to be easier to digest.  didn't have this issue with cooked meats, huh.

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / attn. parents! need some advice
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:12:51 am »
i would like some advice on how i could get my daughters ages 3 and 5 to eat more raw meats.  they already eat a near perfect diet(cooked primal).  how can i make this work for them?  sometimes we sneak raw liver into meat loaf but i'm honestly not wanting to keep them in the dark about what they eat.  any suggestions would be great, thanks ;)

Raw Weston Price / coconut oil
« on: August 30, 2010, 03:24:54 am »
hi group, wap recommends the use of co and i've been taking it for at least 2mos.  i've noticed some members here avoid it at all costs.  is there a specific reason?  i haven't noticed anything negative except for the fact that when i started i got diarrhea and lightheaded that i figured was a healing reaction.  isn't this a beneficial product to use?  how would one know if it didn't quite agree with them?  thanks for all your help! :P
