Off Topic / Re: Your Top 10 Worst fruit
« on: June 26, 2011, 03:57:52 pm »
1.bananas. The texture alone turns me inside out.

I am not big on fruits but I will eat them. I am more into berries to be honest. Just found an exotic fruit I quite liked. It's called Mangosten and is the natural equalent of harry potters magic beans. The first you eat, you could swear had a taste like pinaple/apple, then the next you eat suddenly has hints of strawberry and cinemon. Rather expensive here tho.

Exercise / Bodybuilding / raw food builds muscle (advertisement)
« on: June 22, 2011, 05:35:55 pm »
I just got the heads up on this project started up by Randy Roach and Josh Trentine.

I think it is great and I want to support them and hope that you will too. It is aimed at bodybuilders looking at raw foods, but I believe it will spand much wider with a holistic approach to health and fitness in general since -atleast to Randy, whom I have conversed with- it is not just a quest for the largest muscle, but for the best health possible.

I hope that this isnt inappropriate. But I believe that for the bodybuilders that drop by to ask the question "where do I start", every now and then. This is exactly what they are looking for. Pre-Packaged information that can be turned into practice tomorrow. Not a vast ocean of information with months of playing mole scholar with trial and error to follow.

I wish Randy and Josh the best of luck.

Welcoming Committee / Re: Bodybuilder Looking To Go Raw
« on: May 11, 2011, 03:57:20 pm »
I'm interested in going raw. But I have no idea how to start.

I took hold of Randy Roach via his website. I paid him for a consultation via skype. I did not get any information that I could not pick up by going over the threads here. I paid to get 'the straight dope for bodybuilders' in a bulk and I got that and a plan to follow to my satisfaction.

Its not hard tho. EAT! I chuck down 10-20 raw eggs a day and eat a half to a whole kilo of flesh. I go for oysters, Fat fish, Red meat, dont touch pork and wont eat chicken raw (the texture is nasty).

"Medical" marijuana is typically smoked, and because of this I can't agree with its use as "medical", though it would fit the mainstream definition of medicine, ie a drug that masks symptoms but does not treat the underlying problem or the whole human animal.

A stupid excuse for using the drug as a recreational drug is all that whole thing is. When you burn it at those high degrees you radically alter the drug. it may give cancer patients the munchies, which is good, but its healing effects is lost for the most part. The ONLY way this works for healing is as an oil, or you can eat the plant if you are tougher than most and have no tastebuds.

Hemp oil, when referring to the food oil, is not psychoactive and I would guess in most cases is not truly raw.

It is just another name for generic fat, this time made from hemp instead of canola. Also, I doubt they use the strains that has enough THC to be psychoactive.

Yes, anything a bunch of potheads can do, is fairly simple  :P  haha! Cooking with cannabis and other extraction methods are all pretty straight forward. If making butter it's just a matter of simmering the butter/herb long enough to allow the cannabinoids (the active compounds) to migrate from the plant material in to the fat.

The amount you get this way is unpredictable.. If you get high from your medicine, you are taking too much of it.

Or if you're making an alcohol extraction like green dragon then it's only a matter of having high enough quality herb and as pure ethanol as possible.

Also with solvent  based extraction you can get away with using the whole plant. And I see absolutely no reason not to. It is common practice here. it obviously yields less oil but enough to make it worthwhile. If you know growers they will likely give it to your for free.

Medical THC oil is used in small very small amounts each day. You eat a lot less than what makes you intoxicated (you still shouldnt drive cars tho, atleast for as long as you are medicated). start very small and work your way up to a couple of drops a day. It can be applied directly on skin too. Cuts, bruises, acne etc..

I encourage you to see this for more information;

There are several ways to make it, but the ones that has the highest yield does involves solvents that should under no circumstances be used in door. That is, unless you want brandamage to go with your medicine. edit: see:

Another extraction method that does not come with a chance to blow your house up. From a technical perspective I would argue that it is less effective for several reasons, but she is obviously high as a kite so it may well be 'good enough'.

How does it work. I havent a clue. But we have something called cannabinoid receptors in the brain, which is enough for me to want a full investigation of the medical potential of this plant. I wont hold my breath though.

The same thing with Kava

"On 15 February 2006, the Fiji Times and Fiji Live reported that researchers at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and the Laboratoire de Biologie Moleculaire du Cancer in Luxembourg had discovered that kava may treat ovarian cancer and leukemia. Kava compounds inhibited the activation of a nuclear factor that led to the growth of cancer cells. The Aberdeen University researchers published in the journal The South Pacific Journal of Natural Science that kava methanol extracts had been shown to kill leukemia and ovarian cancer cells in test tubes.[31] The kava compounds were shown to target only cancerous cells; no healthy cells were harmed. This may help explain why kava consumption is correlated with decreased incidence of cancer.[32]"

Why arent medical science all over this?

Megadeth. Mustaine is a poet.

This has got to be some of the best lines in a song ever!

"You always make an excellent cadaver
I roll your body up in a carpet to make music in the
Trunk of my limousine, wrapped up in a rug
A fitting end, is that I send you up the river like a punk "

Sabre I'm a cynic bro  ;D I can fully understand your decision, and in your shoes I would most likely have made the same decision. No, my problem is with the media. But this is a deep and general loathing and a pet fetish I will beat at every chance I get in crual and unusual ways. Instead of serving us actual information, fact, keeping our back against immoral people with megalomania, they have become the wagging tail. A mind numbing drug harder than crack cocaine. And the worst part is that these fucking people actually appears to take pride in what they are doing. It simply boggles the mind.  -v

Liver is boss! But if i eat too much of it I get intoxicated and feel drunk. Which I like. so I eat a lot of it whenever i have access to some good stuff. I dont always, since liver is considered trash here.

Do you know or notice how your pharma drug dependent friends and relatives and leaders behave or think?

Yes. And it ain't good. I don't trust people with power because they are the kinds of people who wants power. I don't think drugs are going to make a politician any more or less of an Ahole. Our parliament is so high on coke that if you swipe their toilets you will find traces of it on most of them. Im not making that up either. A couple of journalists did just that and the following silence was almost deafening. What difference is a bit of zyprexa going to do to a megalomaniac with a coke habbit?

General Discussion / Re: For Those Who Use Intermittent Fasting...
« on: April 16, 2011, 07:00:53 pm »
I don't do it consciously. It is more like sometimes for weeks, I dont feel like eating a lot. I skip down to only a small meal at night. I like feeling hungry sometimes. I mean really hungry. I obviously slim down but what I really love is the clearness of thought that comes with hunger. I am a ghrelin addict for sure. But Im far from anorexic I love eating and can eat like a hog (and will do so most of the time) but fasting is a natural part of my life. I wouldnt want to be without it, nor do I want to schedule it.

I agree with Tyler. The gist I get is to take a more fact and science based approach than our adversaries purely emotional one (though I think this also has its place). Should it include default media trickery like to only use those of the members that look their absolute best at the time of recording? personal experiences are also heavy hitters with the audience. The power of anecdote is enormous.

The best of luck to you Sabertooth. I will tune in.

« on: April 15, 2011, 08:53:20 pm »
Sabertooth it is obvious that you are ready for combat, but do you come prepared. Do you know your enemy?

Like a lamb to the slaughter you say, but perhaps I am a wolf in sheep's clothing.

These people are professional liars and manipulators. That is to say, they do nothing but these things all day long. This is a fight you cannot really come prepared for because the power is with them entirely. They can (and most certainly will) edit everything you say to make it fit whatever emotions they want to invoke with their audience. Disgust, Hatred, Sympathy, these are theirs to do with as they please no matter what you say or how well you say it. Cut/Paste

I fail to understand why you so willingly march right into your own slaughter.

Discovery Channels....high quality program on a major network

The Discovery Channel who air programs from crackpots like Von Danicken and who finds 'Noah's ark' every once in a while? The one whose major draw is about grobrians who build hotrods/motorcycles/whatever that throw shit at each other and shout angry barely comprehensible insults at any passers by. That Discovery?

The whole set up as Lex interprets it, sounds like exactly the kind of runny stool that Discovery has turned into. It's great entertainment, but they are not in the reality or truth telling business. Fact!

Off Topic / Re: Rawpalaeo substitutes
« on: April 06, 2011, 06:13:21 pm »
My brother recently asked about substitutes for rawpalaeodiets. He mentioned coffee which I damned as being very unhealthy. I mentioned various raw or rawish substitutes, but am curious as to what others here recommend for people not willing to go the whole hog. Things like raw nut flour etc. perhaps?

I drink plenty of coffee but never after 12 mid day. It is one of those things that has both its pros and cons and each individual will have to make up their mind about which weighs heavier. I dont believe in substitutes. I always take mine loaded with cream.

I'm into these NES metal composition things. Its satisfied my need for both metal and things that sound like they could be the rain running sequence in Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

LOL. The fact that someone took the time to sit down and sequence it with a gamepad is mighty impressive.
