Health / Re: How to overcome addiction?
« on: May 03, 2016, 09:54:11 pm »
Thank you all for your replys :).
Ive found the answer to my problem and would like to share it with you all.

Ive noticed the reason for my anxiety was fat and oils that I take in from time to time as it is promoted here to help digestion.
For me tho, I notice that BOTH fat and oil messes up my digestion alot and lowers my bloodpressure.

Ive added in some potatostarch and a little seasalt to clean the bowels from oils and fat and now my problem with both digestion and anxiety have dramatically decreased. Maybe its just a short term solution, but as for now Im happy that I got some relief.

Health / How to overcome addiction?

I just wanted to share this with you all..

First off, my raw paleo diet consists of raw fish and some fruits.
I feel strong and my libido is great compared to any other diet.

The problem is that Im having a very hard time detoxing all the beta carbolines and opioid peptides that come from cooked foods.
On this diet I feel like Im getting very hydrated and thats a good thing, but Im not used to it.
I have trouble falling asleep and sometimes I get anxiety attacks.
Very strange, but my anxiety is about my bloodpressure being too low and I do not know if this is rational or not.
A big part of me says its not rational at all, but in the moment of anxiety the thought takes me over.

Ive noticed that when I dehydrate myself by taking cooked food and especially salt, that my anxiety goes away and I can fall asleep.
The day after I feel horrible tho, and it takes at least 24 hours to feel hydrated again.

So Ive been in this cycle for a while now and I think Im gonna try really hot showers at night and see if that helps.
Any other advice is appreciated  :)

Health / Re: Digestive problems, could it be Iodine?
« on: November 17, 2015, 11:25:27 pm »
Commercial salt itself or the form of iodine used in the salt could be the culprit because "table" salt can contain unlisted ingredients, including corn derivatives. Since sea salt is good for you, you could also see what happens with pure sources of iodine (seaweed).

Yes, seaweed would be a good test to do. Though Im a bit weary of it, because it really makes me feel bad.
Also, when I ate grains that do not contain iodine, I seemed to do fine.
Just have the feeling that it leaves a residue thats very sticky and thats why bad things get clogged up in the digestive system.

Since Im on a raw paleo diet Im wondering if raw egg yolk would be a good source of natural iodine?

Health / Digestive problems, could it be Iodine?
« on: November 17, 2015, 09:55:07 pm »
Hi all,

Ive been having digestive issues for years, but through experimenting with diets I am more sensitive to what a food does to my body.
I would always feel depressed and congested after eating bread and normally u would say its due to phytates and other well known grains issues. But Ive noticed that I get the same reaction after eating iodized salt and not with seasalt.

So could iodine be the reason for my digestive issues?

The last few days Ive started aloe vera and Im feeling like the digestive system slowly is getting better.
In some tests Ive seen how aloe vera is able to dissolve iodine.

Im very curious to hear what u guys think about this.
And for the record, studys dont mean alot to me since theres so much bs studys around.
Id rather like to hear about experiences or general thoughts :).

Thanks ;)

General Discussion / Raw meat or raw fish
« on: June 18, 2015, 03:57:30 pm »
Hi all,

Ive been eating raw meat for a couple of weeks now and even though I havent had problems yet theres always that little voice in the back of my head saying I should watch out for e.coli. I would like to know if its possible for me to switch to raw fish and ask u guys if I wouldnt be missing out on anything by doing this. Ive seen the Wai Diet promote raw fish and they are not eating raw meat, so maybe thats the way I should go.

Im very interested in your opinions!

I noticed that the adding of fat is very important, especially in the transitioning stage. I find it helps with detox and digestion. The best fat for me has been plant oil in the form of rapeseedoil (mayonnaise). No other fat (butter/animal fat/coconut oil) was helping me better than the fat in mayonnaise. Im feeling better and better and when I feel everything running smoothly again I will cut down the intake of mayonnaise and see how this goes.

This new diet made me realize how bad sugar is, because once I took it again I noticed how bad I felt. Same goes for other toxins like caffeine and alcohol.

General Discussion / Re: Ori Hofmekler
« on: June 16, 2015, 10:10:38 pm »
I agree with TylerDurden on eating one time per day is better for the digestive system. I myself notice Im not that hungry during the day and very hungry in the evening. When I eat in the evening I sleep better aswell. Also digestion takes place at night, so Id be full all day if I would eat in the morning and that doesnt feel as good as having an empty digestive system during the day.

Ofcourse this is based on my personal experience and I dont support Ori Hoffmekler at all, but some of the things he says I can agree with due to my own experience.
