General Discussion / Eating Mistakes Thread
« on: March 14, 2021, 04:06:06 am »
Yesterday I ate 500 grams of raw beef kidney for lunch. Took me an hour to eat it. After lunch I was driving, had driving fatigue. Had a couple of extra shits, then my stomach felt crook for the rest of the day. Drank a little more water than usual and have very yellow urine. Seems I ate too much raw kidney at once.

I finished my first small jar of high beef liver off in 5 tastings. The last was the leftover juice, it was yum, good whiskey replacement. I have a large jar in the fridge that will be one month old in 10 days.

I don't have any issues digesting meat so did not notice any difference.

After my second taste I got this intermittent pain like a needle stuck in the end of my big toe. Strange. I've heard this sort of thing being blamed on oxalate build up, or maybe oxalate dumping. I did not feel like eating any more today.

There is an extensive thread on high meat called High-Meat-Recipe Preparation For More Advanced RAFers.

Follow the directions and you won't get sick. Well so it seems. I had my first high meat yesterday and some more for breakfast this morning. I got impatient for the stuff in my fridge so put some in a jar and left it room temperature for 3 day's.

None of my high meat smells too bad as far as I can tell. If you make a small amount at room temperature you might be able to eat it before the smell gets too bad. Or there is something wrong with my sense of smell, but I don't think there is.

Welcoming Committee / New raw eater.

Greetings.

5 months ago I decided not to be obese, in my ignorance I purchased some running shoes for sprinting and a rebounder, over 3 months I lost 10kg on a standard diet. But I felt awful. Learned about cortisol overload and adrenal fatigue. Taking a break from exercise. Started eating zero carb/cooked meat and water 2 months ago, have lost another 6kg, need to lose another 20. Of course I have been influenced to focus on health not weight loss...

I came across some video footage of AV, he was talking about how water dehydrates humans, and it made me aware of how thirsty I am, how I pee every half an hour and how getting up one or more times a night to pee is disrupting my sleep. So I have been eating raw for 4 days. Milk, eggs and meat. It takes allot longer to eat raw meat. Not really enjoying the flavors. That beef kidney was rough, I always have enjoyed raw shellfish though. Raw meat is tender.

In New Zealand milk is the only raw dairy I can buy, plan to turn it all into yogurt before eating it soon. Might make my own cheese.
